Kaiko Post 1/7
Kaiko knocked on the Inn door that Ikaika had told him he was living at. He was wanting to adventure into the bush but he didn't want to do it alone. Ikaika was his only friend here so far and he craved the company of his own kind if not his own tribe. He missed home in a way but not in others, he was so conflicted inside but as yet unwilling to return at least not for a while. There was just too much pressure at home. It wasn't fair. But better to be in this position than like Ikaika who had lost his parents.
He waited shifting from foot to foot, listening for footsteps on the other side of the door.

Ikaika 1
A knock? He hardly ever had visitors, and he hadn't seen Skeena for a while, she was usually the only one who would come bug him...unless..
He raced to the door, YES! It was Kaiko of the glowing orange red eyes. The contrast between his skin, hair and face was unmistakable.
He swung open the door. "Hello there, thanks for stopping by."
He chocked on whatever he was going to say next, funny he usually wasn't this nervois but Kaiko was always unshakable looking.

He smiled at the other boy thinking that he had once had that bright spark in his eyes but it was a long time ago. Maybe there was hope he could get it back. His soul at least felt better here than at home.
"Would you like to go on another adventure today?" His smooth voice rolled over the words with a gentle, rich tone.
He wanted a bit more excitement.

"Oooh an adventure?" His whole spirit seemed to brighten considerably at the prospect of doing something new and exciting with his new friend. He was grayeful to have 2 friends in Matori. He wasn't exactly the regular Joe of the place being quite tall and scaley but hey at least Kaiko was here too
"What kind of adventure were you thinking?" The possibilities were endless.

"Hmmm, well we have tide pools, caves, a little tropical jungle, markets, other towns. The world is your oyster. But personally I would like to go see if the jungle has some weird plants or fruit. Im peckish and curious a rather dangerous combination but Im sure we can find a way to do it safely with maximum fun and enjoyment."
He needed to learn how to have fun, his childjood had been mostly devoid of it and he had scars remaining.

"The jungle sounds gpod to me, I haven't been out there either so I don't think I will be that great of a guide. I'm sure after dealing with scary sea monsters that we will give whatever or whoever we find there a run for their coin
Let me just pack a few things first."
He raced around to fill a bag with needful things like rope, snacks and gathering supplies.
"Ready!" he said cheerfully and they thus began their adventure.

They headed deepninto the jungle, two explorers on a mission to see what they could see. He had never felt so free or so good well until they heard a distinct rustle in bushes adjacent to them.
A female snaptrotter was tending her nest by a pool and had swarmed over to them to declare her rights to the real estate. Fangs bared she charged and Kaiko shoved the other boy out of the way putting himself in the line of fire. Her huge jaws closed in his arm and she was then dragging him slowly but inevitably toward the water.
His heart was racing so fast and the fear gripped him so that je could not make a sound though there were rather large teeth embedded in his arm. He couldnt feel it though. it just felt like pressure.

It all happened so fast he could barely process it all. What was evident however was that he was going to loose his new friend if he didnt come up with something fast to save him. Lacking a plan but with excess impetus he made a lithe leap onto the snaptrotters back and began pounding at the armer over her eyes. She hissed and growled but after a poke or two in her sensitive sight organs she released the invasive offender to try and trash off the second one. Ikaika held on as best he could and bailed off soon after where she stood in front of her nest ready to charge. He kept one eye on her and backed away to help Kaiko.

His arm felt like lead and looked like crap. Thick streams of blood drained from heft puncture marks as he scrambled back on his bum unable to get to his feet until Ikaika assisted him. He was shaking from shock and more than half terrified. Perhaps a walk in the sand would jave been a better option than taking on the jungle. The snaptrotter continued to glare balefully
He took some spare cloth and put it onnhis arm with pressure which made him groan in pain but at least the bleeding would stop.

He fussed over Kaiko and helped him wrap hos arm. They moved further away from the snaptrotter and both checked thoroughly for more injuries.
He was shaken too he hadnt realized that he could be that brave. He mostly didnt much like people but those he took as his own were under his protection just as he would expect Kaiko do help him in some similar but perhaps better planned way.
"Well that was quite a shock wasn't it. I would have thought she would have raised her babies in a much safer place, I didnt even see her until she was on top of you."

"I had just barely seen her as well she blends in. But you save me back so we are good. Thank the gods because I would have made her a very stringy lunch." He was joking but he was still shaken up inside. Teeth and death were scary and the basic recipe for wild snaptrotters.
"I think we better go see a healer and next time explore just a vit more carefully perhaps not in nesting season." His arm ached but the bandage kind of made it feel better.

Ikaika led Kaiko to the best healer in town a dark green haired Matorian native with impressive boho jewellery splayed about her person. The womans bright orange eyes assesed the situation handily and she wasted no time in cleaning the wound, applying a salve and giving Kaiko some bark to chew that would help with the pain and stave off infection with an immune boosting compound. Judging fron akaiko's facial expressions though it was lacking much in the taste department. Most medicine tasted bitter in his experience.

Well at least it wouldn't get infected now. The salve and pain killer were helping and he was more calm. Well at least they jad proved to each other that they were well looked after. All he wanted now was strong tea and an evening of eating and sleeping.
He started to droop a little in his chair.

The healer motioned him to take Kaiko home and that is what he would do he would bring Kaiko to his place which was more sheltered where he could keep an eye on him.
"Alright off to bed with you my friend." Their progress was slow but concrete. They made it home and Ikaika proceded to make food, chat idly and ensure that Kaiko got the best care possible. Anyone who would jump in from of a snaptrotter for him was definitely worth it.
