Dovi 1
A large sigh escaped Dovian as he looked at his little sister again. She'd sent Rydan to fetch something or another that she was craving and that left the two of them alone so that they could talk. Although he was convinced she really did have that craving. He took a minute to simply look at her, so many things running through his mind.
"So uh.. Rydan was it? He seems nice." His head nodded some as he looked to the side. The things that the boy had said had been nice. Now he just wanted to know if they were true.

She sat in the chair to the side and looked at her brother with a raised brow. Thea had caught the sight he'd given. It was meant to gain her attention she was sure. "Mhm, Rydandaroch." She stared at her brother for a second before she shifted so that she could lean back in the chair, her hands coming up to rest on her large belly.
"He's very nice. A big sweetheart." She smiled at her sibling as she rubbed her hands over the moving twins in her stomach. "What do you really want to ask?"

Well that was a mouthful. Rydan was much easier to say and remember. Though he supposed it was no more different than her own name of Theanduri. Most people said it wrong at first. Which is likely why she'd started going by Thea when she was little.
Hearing that the boy was a sweetheart made him nod and look toward the door, almost as if he expected Rydan to reappear because they were talking about him. When his sister asked him what it was he was really wanting to know he brought his gaze back to her quickly. At first he opened his mouth to deny it but then gave a chuckle. "Alright, you got me." He reached up and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "I just.. I wanted to make sure you were being treated right. And that you're happy. Wouldn't be much of a big brother otherwise." Given that he was the family softie he couldn't really see him being intimidating unless he really, really tried.

Thea gave a grin at first then started to laugh, thankful that her hands were already on her belly. She had to steady herself after a minute and she nodded, still smiling. "Yes, Dovi. I'm happy. Almost sickeningly so." Her tongue came out to stick at him before she moved to sit up straighter in the chair.
"Rydan is amazing." Once she was sitting upright she reached back for her braid and brought it around so that she could play with it some. "I enjoy spending time with my tree dragon. And he's been really helpful with the whole thing." As she said 'whole' she moved one hand in a circular motion over her very pregnant belly. "Don't worry, if he ever hurts me or upsets me I'll go to Shura first." Thea grinned at her brother cheekily then.

He gave a cringe as his sister said her happiness was almost sickening. That must mean it was overflowing. Ick. Who was that happy? After the cringe he smiled. "Glad to hear it."
Confusion followed though. "Tree dragon? What?" He was still trying to puzzle that one out when Thea said she would go to their sister if Rydan ever hurt her. He nodded his head in agreement. "That's right, if he steps out of line and does something you go to Shu- Hey!" As he'd been about to say his twin's name he realized what it was Thea had said.
He put his hands on his hips as he looked at her. "I can be intimidating you know." And he could. It just took some effort on his part and for the other person to not know his personality. He could fight too. Shura had taught him that at least. Still, it was funny so he ended up laughing.

She waited for him to catch what she'd said, the realization taking a bit longer than she thought it would and when he put his hands on his hips she giggled. Thea had to keep both hands on her belly while she sat there in the chair. Her brother was giving her too many reasons to laugh. "Yes, Dovi, if you say so." She didn't think her brother could ever scare anyone. Although she would love to watch him try.
"You have to admit, Shura would be the one to go to first. Not you." If she wanted something fixed then she might go to Dovi. After she went to her dad.
"As for the tree dragon bit.. long story short, I found him in a tree. Plus he's part tree. Kinda." Her hands moved up to motion the antennae. "His feelers."

His baby sister was mocking him, he knew it, but he let her. Mostly because she was right. His twin would be the sibling to go to if one of the others was being picked on or mistreated. "You're right. Still, if something goes wrong let me know. I'll help out in any way I can." Big brother would lend a hand or whatever needed doing.
As she explained the odd name she had for Rydan he was left with more questions. "Why was he in a tree? Climbing it? And yea, I noticed the Alkidike things." That part he got. Alks were born from a tree and he was part Alk. So part tree? But Thea finding him in a tree? Dovian shook his head.

It was sweet of her brother to say, even if she didn't think it was needed. Still, Theanduri nodded her head at him and offered the best innocent little sister smile she could. "Of course."
His questions only led to her giggling a bit more and she shook her head. "He was caught in a trap. He had been attempting to remove the trap so no animals got hurt in it and got caught instead." Thea had thought it hilarious then and she still found it funny now. Definitely a tale to tell their twins when they were old enough.
"I call him my tree dragon now. You know, how mom calls dad 'Bear.' Its like that." Thea knew that their dad's name wasn't Bear but that is what their mother called him all the time. Unless she was mad at him. As she thought about the idea of simply calling Rydan by a nickname all the time and saving his name for when she was really angry with him she gave a softer smile.

It took him a second to register what Thea had just told him. Rydan had gotten caught by the very trap he'd been trying to disable. When he couldn't hold it in any longer Dovian ended up laughing to the point that he doubled over and had to wipe tears from his eyes.
A minute or two of that and he was taking large breaths to calm down. "Oh.. oh my. Don't tell Shura that." He had a feeling their sister would pick on the boy for it. And ruthlessly. All in good fun of course.
"Well, does your tree dragon know what you are?" He motioned to his pocket then to signify what it was he meant.

She watched her brother lose it with laughter and shook her head at him. Thea waited until he was done before she threw a nearby rock at him. "Be nice." She had no intention of telling Shura that her boyfriend had been caught by a trap. The story could simply stay that she had found him in a tree.
At her brother's question she furrowed her brow, at first confused by what he meant. Then she saw him pointing at his pocket and she got the meaning. Thea nodded her head at him and smiled again. "Yes, he is very aware." She brought one hand up to show her two pinching fingers. "He lets me practice on him too." Which she adored.

He easily dodged the rock that was tossed at him and chuckled in response. "Sorry, couldn't help it."
When she answered his question he felt his brows raise high. "Huh.." So Rydan knew that his precious baby sister was a thief and he still wanted to stick around. "I am liking him more and more. He really does seem like a great guy for you." He pointed to her belly. "And the twins."
Speaking of. "I know I'm all over the place with questions and such.. but, you guys got names? Leaning toward boys or girls? Or one of each like me and Shura?" He grinned. What would the gods bestow on his sibling?

Again she nodded her head, proud of her boyfriend. Thea grinned. "Well I'm glad you like him. I plan on keeping him." She gave her brother a wink.
When he brought up the questions about names and genders she lifted her shoulders a little. "I'm not sure which I'd like more so I guess as long as they are both healthy I don't care. As for names.." She paused for a second. "Rydan's family has a kind of theme thing going. I guess his dad has a name similar to his. The 'daroch' at the end." And she was leaning toward it. Of course she needed to figure out what to put in front of it.

"Oh the poor boy.." He teased her.
Though he had to admit he was definitely pleased to hear that his sister liked the boy well enough to keep him around. Especially as he was the father of her children.
"Oh, so a tongue twister for the rest of us to say. Well then.." A mouthful of a name almost certainly meant nicknames would be a thing. "So.. tree cub one and tree cub two? Got it." Again he teased her.
"Just be sure to make it so that I can give them a decent nickname."

Thea rolled her eyes at her brother and picked up another rock to throw at him. If he was going to be like that then she might actually aim to hit him.
"Oh it wasn't that hard to say his name." Although she did like the sound of 'tree cub' it might be what she called her little ones as a term of endearment. She'd ask Rydan what he thought of it later when he came back with her snack.
The thought of food made her stomach growl and she looked at her brother. "Help me up, I want to check and see if he's coming back yet." Thea held her hands out for her brother to take hold of.

Again the rock was avoided and when his sister asked for help getting up he nodded and moved forward.
Dovian grabbed her hands with his own calloused ones and pulled her to her feet. He watched her to make sure she was well balanced before he let go. His baby sister had precious cargo after all. "You should be resting and taking it easy. I'm sure he'll be back soon. I doubt he'd stay away for too long." Based off what he'd seen Dovian didn't think Rydan actually liked when he had to be away from his sister.
