She will be a powered upgrade! I won a custom from Tolin's raffle!

Name: Cinta Mahsa (she is a cousin of Kalani Mahsa/Sailor Morishita)
Nickname: Cinny
Age: 14
Birthday: February 14
Sign: Aquarius
Gemstone: Garnet/Amethyst
Blood Type: AB+
Fav. Food: Crepes!! .. and by and by, pancakes.
Hated Food: Squid and Octopus.
School: Crystal Academy

Hobbies:

Origami - Cinta originally dabbled in origami as a way to handle her anxiety. It gradually ballooned into an activity where she could deftly manipulate paper into a myriad of shapes. She gradually incorporated various extraneous decorative bits here and there to add extra oomph to her paper crafts. Naturally, she took it upon herself to occasionally redecorate her personal space with new origami befitting the occasion or season.

Baking Enthusiast - She grew up loving the scent of freshly baked bread and the myriad of flavors and shapes bread could bear with. Introduced to baking as a young child, Cinta loved that she could develop skills that would enable her to bake so many different things, and more than anything, she loved that she could share her baked creations with others. Cinta occasionally obliges to teach her fellow peers and enthusiasts on how to make their own creations. On a random note, she once roped in her cousin Kalani as her taste tester and fellow baker once upon a time back when she initially embarked on this hobby, but for reasons that continue to befuddle Cinta to this day, Kalani is no longer involved in this particular activity.

Feeding stray cats… if possible - Ever since Cinta had the pleasure of visiting a local cat cafe together with her cousin Kalani back when they were children, she grew enamored with cats. However, Cinta’s household does not have enough reliability when it comes to raising pets so Cinta instead engaged in cat sightings and lightly squealing to herself whenever she luckily runs into one. She recently evolved into the kind of person that could… feed stray cats on occasion, which brings her endless delight and a moment to escape reality. With that being said, Cinta now at the very least carries a few cat treats in the event she spontaneously runs into cats.

Virtues:

A bit tidy and orderly and a dash of organized chaos - Cinta usually has a system for plenty of her things and activities…. even if they may not always make sense to others upon closer examination. Otherwise, this is acceptable to her since it works for her since it ultimately gets the job done. Moreover, due to her associated flaw of occasionally spacing out whether if it’s unintentional or not, she has at the very least developed a habit of documenting things down if permissible. Cutely shaped sticky notes are her friend, too.

A bit of waiting never hurts - Due to being introduced and being enamored with her hobbies of choice, Cinta is familiar with waiting things out and with enough patience to spare. Delayed gratification is no stranger to her either and as an occasional rare tutor of a sort, Cinta is understanding that her student(s) are going to run into some snags before gaining a measurable amount of mastery over the task at hand.

And a bit of a warning never hurts as well - If she has something on her mind that she feels the urge to say, she does at the very least offer an option to the recipient on whether they’d like to hear it or not. This also applies to whether or not her musings could be put into action or not. This effectively positions her in a position where she could be best utilized to the best of her ability as she generally places faith in whoever she relies on.

With Sincerity - Cinta actively tries to treat people that she interacts with respect and more so when she expects a similar treatment in return. It may not be so in reality, but that doesn’t stop Cinta from wishing for it. As a result, this colors her interactions in that she holds the notion of ‘reaching an understanding’ and placing a level of friendliness with enough importance.

Flaws:

Harebrained at her finest moment - When her expected dash of orderliness and organized chaos utterly collapses, Cinta is then prone to letting her wits run wild and sometimes wildly off-course, which at worse causes her to get consumed by her confusion and bouts of anxiety. This is largely discernible based on how she would subconsciously seek any piece of paper and habitually turns it into origami. At worse, she would morph them into paper planes…

A touch out of it and moody at that - Unfortunately, Cinta is also quite prone to zoning out or spacing out or just appears to be daydreaming. If she is in a particularly good mood, she is adequate at losing herself to the moment. When she isn’t in a fine mood, Cinta would chase after an escape. And on rare occasions, Cinta trips over herself or slightly careens into something, much to her chagrin. ‘I didn’t mean to do that!’ is her common refrain. In other words, this is quite the barometer for reading the highs and lows of her moods.

Okay, that opt-in’s a bit much now - Coupled with her penchant towards spacing out in whatever fancy of hers and insistence on offering ‘options’ to the intended receiver of her thoughts, sometimes they just serve either as markers of her inattentiveness or that she just absolutely… did not have to place an opt-in for a lot of her thoughts, which are, most of the time, are actually rather inoffensive. Her reliance on framing her comments could almost make her seem to distrust of other people’s ability to handle whatever she has to say.

Maybe think a little bit harder? - Despite Cinta’s dread of being admonished, kicking the habit of not thinking things simply or thoroughly could prove difficult for her. She reasons that this is why she has long enjoyed receiving instructions with enough orderliness or lists or carefully documented notes. These things just help her process things more readily, but sadly, life doesn’t always come with that prepared for her so, in the end, she winds up scrambling to make ends meet… or just surrender to the calming (or not so calm) whims of hers (notably therapeutic origami unless she is denied of paper).

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Candy apple-red colored and bright, round eyes with long eyelashes.

Hair: Long iridescent hair swept into a high ponytail. The shorter her hair her is, the more upturned or slightly wavy it gets. The tips of her long hair appear rather shimmery and reflective almost like a rainbow.

Face: She has a heart-shaped face and fair complexion.

Clothes: She enjoys wearing loose and girly clothing. She particularly likes wearing clothing that is girly enough or mori kei whenever she feels like dressing down enough. If possible, she’d like to accentuate her ponytails with matching bows.

Senshi: Fringilla, Senshi of Parrotfinches

Challenge: Feathers aren’t always soft, you know…

Fuku Colour:

Main Color: Green (like almost like green tea ice cream?)
Secondary Color: Gold/Yellow

Fuku:

Hi! Here is a larger colored visual reference that I sketched here. You may use it alongside the description if it helps.

Collar -- A collar that could be detached! Otherwise, it’s affixed as if it’s a part of the dress. Refer to the visual for a better idea.
Bow -- Front ribbon with tails that reaches her belly. It has secondary ribbon tails that connect to the larger back ribbon.
Bodice -- A hanfu-lolita styled layered dress a length that sits above her knees. There is a center panel that connects to her dress’s chest wrap. Refer to this image for an example.
Sleeves — Long detached layered loose bell-shaped sleeves.
Brooch -- Shaped like a feather, unless it needs to be more symmetrical. In that case, a simple diamond-shaped one could suffice?
Bottoms -- N/A as she wears a dress!
Tiara -- Crown decorated with feathers. Refer to this image for an example.
Choker -- Choker is a classic, or a necklace? Or a scarf?
Shoes -- Wears hanfu slipper shoes tied with straps. They’re almost like soft/cloth mary janes.
Gloves -- No gloves.
Accessories -- Has a gold-colored choker.

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Clinging Feathers
Fringilla sends a flurry of colorful finch feathers at a single target, ‘marking’ them with the feathers, and making them identifiable to allies as to who to attack, giving said allies' attacks honing properties that make them more certain to successfully hit. The feathers last for twenty-five seconds and can be used three times.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Sticky Feathers
Fringilla sends a flurry of colorful finch feathers at up to three targets this time, ‘marking’ them with the feathers, and making them identifiable to allies as to who to attack, giving said allies' attacks honing properties that make them more certain to successfully hit. This 'honing' effect is stronger this time, with an even greater likelihood of allies' attacks landing. The feathers last for thirty-five seconds and can be used two times.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Colorful Feathers
Fringilla conjures up a tiny ethereal parrotfinch, which she releases into the air. The parrotfinch sings a little song that has the effect of lifting her allies' spirits and making them feel more joyous and upbeat as if to temporarily relieve them of some of the more negative emotions that may be weighing them down. The parrotfinch's song covers a radius of fifteen feet, and the effect lasts for up to forty seconds.

(note: the colorful feathers of her basic and super attacks are inspired by a specific finch (the Gouldian finch, aka 'rainbow' finch). Meanwhile, her eternal attack borrows inspiration from Native American symbolism of the finch and its associations with bringing tidings of joy and happiness.)

Hiya Kari/Rune! Let's look at Fringie- er, Fringilla and get her up to speed.

Civilian half is excellent! No issues there.

I do have some concerns about the attacks on the powered side, however. I feel that you can get away with doing more than simply having feathers stick to a target. Perhaps the feathers sticking to a target causes other things to stick to them as well? By that, I mean perhaps "marking" a target gives attacks homing properties and magically makes it more likely for the target to get hit? There are other options to explore, of course. Let me know if you'd like more suggestions.

On a separate attack-related note, the Eternal attack should be different from the basic and Super attacks. If you need help devising something else for that, let me know and I'll help out.

The durations and forms of the basic and super attacks are both fine, but I feel like you could add five seconds on both effect durations and be fine.

Once you make adjustments (or if you have questions), please quote me, and I'll get back to you.

Hello Sami!
Thanks for getting back to me! I gave your advice some thought and revised them as shown below. Are these better?

Hello again! Let's see what you've got here.

These attacks look much better! I think you could add 5 seconds to the effect times of each stage still. One small note- if you didn't already, please edit your changes into the powered post of the profile for the sake of organization.

However, something else did come up after some discussion on the back end. There are some concerns that "finch" is too broad of a sphere as it is a classification that includes many types of birds instead of referring to a certain specific type of bird, if that makes sense. You will have to narrow down your sphere for approval.

Some examples of particular birds classified as finches finches you can choose from include the bunting, canary, cardinal, chaffinch, crossbill, goldfinch, grass finch, grosbeak, sparrow, and weaver. However, do keep in mind that cardinals and sparrows are already taken spheres. I'd also personally stay away from the weaver bird as that could cause confusion with the act of weaving (as a "just in case" measure). Color differentiation is generally not enough for distinction, and stay away from names that include locations (so, "Hawaiian finch" isn't acceptable, but its original name in Hawaiian may be).

If you need help making a decision on how to shift your sphere, let me know. Otherwise, quote me when you've adjusted everything. Thank you!

Hi, thanks for further reviewing Cinta's application!

I've adjusted the attack times, edited them into the proper post, and changed the sphere tentatively to "Parrotfinches."

Would that be better than just going with "finches," since as you stated, is too broad by itself?

And, I haven't edited the thread title yet, but if this adjustment is approved, I can certainly adjust it.

Okay! The attacks look good, and we've decided that parrotfinches are allowable. I'm going to drop a stamp, but please don't forget to edit your sphere into the title when you get a chance. (...whoops, you did this, sorry.) A GM will be by soon enough!

This looks great to me!

For clarification on why Parrotfinches was allowed, we had to review all of the species' in the genus. If a genus has multiple species that are valid as spheres, the genus is considered too broad to be used for a sphere (because of the overlap with the species' within). The Parrotfinch genus only had 13 species, so this was fairly easy to review! Of the parrotfinches listed in the genus, twelve of them were immediately invalid and one was only questionably valid (The Gouldan finch, which is named for Gould). When a species is named for a physical description (such as the 'pink-billed parrotfinch') it can be difficult to differentiate that species from similar species if the only difference is appearance. When a species is named for where it can be found on Earth (such as the 'Fiji parrotfinch') it is invalid because 'Fiji' exists on Earth and so the sphere cannot be tied to the Earth location when the senshi and sphere are supposed to be affiliate with a foreign celestial body. With only the Gouldian finch being a potentially valid name (questionable because it was named for the person who described it when found on Earth), it was easy to determine that the genus was valid because, at best, only the Gouldian Finch would have been permitted as a sphere. This meant that by allowing Parrotfinch as a genus, we were not inadvertently preventing players from questing otherwise valid spheres, so we can approve it as a sphere! This can get a little confusing with animal and plant spheres, but I just wanted to share this information in case anyone was curious as to why the genus was allowed for a sphere!
