Mid-Season Harvest Festivals
Solo or RP Format Counts as 5 RP growth Points Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7
Prompt With so many inhabitants of Tendaji still working the lands, it's common that a festival or party is held to celebrate the transition to a new season. With summer in swing, it's about time to celebrate again. This transition goes from cultivating the land to full-harvest, so many hold celebrations to thank the gods for rain, earth, and successful growth of their plants.
Be it on Tendaji where the Earthlings celebrate thanks for their crops and land, or the Aishans thank their great mothers for prosperous hunts, or even Kahikinan where they celebrate a transition from the heavy rain season, all of Tendaji has reason to gather during the summer months.
[ For this prompt, find someone to celebrate a the change of a season wherever your character is. If your character is alone, now is a great time to consider the transition of the season versus the transition of your life. ]

Yejide walked through the crowds of people gathering for the festival. Everyone loved a good time and Yejide was no different. She snagged a small fruit from a vendor stall while he was turned away and took a juicy bite out of the it, rubbing her chin with the back of her hand as she went.
She always forgot what the reasons were for the parties, but hey, she wasn't going to stop coming to them, right? She buried herself further into the crowd and continued to look around at the different people. Oba sure had changed in the time she had been gone.

"Tytus!"
The Oban captain slipped through the crowds as quick as could be. While his normally bright strands of crimson hair could give him away he had opted to tuck the braids into the hood of his cloak that rested over his light leathers. It was hot but thankfully there was a nice, cool breeze brought in by the towering buildings that lined the city streets. Sorry. He offered an apology to his fellow soldier who had sought to keep him in line but it was his time off. There was a festival and fun to be had! Verya did not even understand the definition of fun and Tytus refused to let her dampen the mood today.
Still, it was hard to shake her. Tytus blew out a frustrated breath before turning to scan the crowd. Hmm? Maybe he could sneak away by simply blending in...nodding and not thinking twice Tytus ran up to link arms with another Oban woman. "So I see you're enjoying the festivities already." He commented with a grin before glancing over his shoulder, "I'll let you go soon enough but please help me out?" He murmured quietly under his breath as he directed them towards the left side of the street. His body tensed as Verya rushed past, still looking for him, and it was only when she turned the corner that he let go of the stranger that he had attached himself to.

She was barely through with her last bite of fruit before an Oban man clad in armor was grabbing her arm and speaking to her in a hushed whisper. Yejide immediately tensed and tried to remind herself that the words coming from the man were that he needed her help, not that he was nabbing her accusingly.
She forced her shoulders to resume their normal position and cocked an eyebrow at the bright-haired Oban man. "And what was that about?" She asked him once he had let go of her after steering her away from where they had originally been and further towards the stalls.

As they left the danger zone and the soldiers passed, Tytus felt the tension leave his shoulders. A sigh of relief left his lips before the woman's question caught him by surprise. "Ah." A slight flush decorated his dark cheeks and he reached up to tuck a stray bang back away from his crimson gaze. "It's complicated?" He questioned with a sheepish grin. "There's certain people in my life that simply don't understand how to have fun and they want to ruin my own fun. It's a festival so we should be enjoying it, right?" And there was so much to enjoy! He had even taken the day off so he refused to be dragged into anything when it was finally time to relax. The festival had a lot of things to offer and he was eager to explore.
At least Verya was out of the way for now. He probably would have at least an hour or so before she decided to backtrack. The thought made Tytus chuckle before he stretched out a hand towards the woman who had unwillingly helped him out. "Thank you for the help by the way. The name's Tytus and I owe you one. Could even share some stall food or drinks if you have nothing else planned for the day?" Festivals were best enjoyed with others after all. Just not with sourpusses. He glanced warily over his shoulder once more as if thinking of the uptight soldier would summon her.
