Perchuhi was quite pleased with herself. It had taken a lot of hard work, for the mot part by herself, to get the two pools in her care looking the way she wanted them. Each had a supply of fresh water to the back in the form of two waterfalls from small brooks that ran the edges of the path above her area, flowing down a slow decline to land in the back of the pools, between them the stone steps connecting the paths. She had secured the end of the brooks where they met a river, preventing any fish from getting inside and trapped. Or, worse, invading her pools. If one wanted to swim with fish, the ocean wasn't too far away, sitting an easy walk down the path. She had chosen this spot for her pools specifically because the ocean was so close. She had planted flowers, pretty bushes, and a few fruit trees along the edge of the path, stopping at the sand. She'd left that mostly alone. The sand was too perfect to touch.

Above each pool was a canopy, transparent silk draping down its sides. Flowers and vines curled around the pillars on each corner of the pools.
Some cleverly placed rocks added to the aesthetic. She'd even found a few statues to put up of animals. Mostly birds. She'd carved fish on the inside walls of the pools to create an even nicer scene, stone schools swimming around under the water, where above flower petals floated.

Perchuhi stood on the side of one pool, stirring up ripples with one hoof, watching the petals bounce and float away from her. They were fairly large sized pools, perfect for a large gathering of Stars. Unfortunately it was still a very small herd. Her pools didn't see much action. But she supposed that was also fine. Less Stars meant less clean-up when it was just you.

User Image Things were getting a little bland in the reefs that Marrok frequented. Gliding slightly along the seabed he headed for more shallow waters. The warmth from the slowly rising sands brushed over his skin. Spinning slightly his ears breach the surface of the water as he drew closer. When his belly brushed against the sand to the point he was almost sitting half in and half out. Ears flicking slightly, Marrok caught sight of a strange sight just up the beach from where he was. Tail flicking to stir the water he glanced at the mare beside of the pools? Head tilting he took in the flowers and other trappings. Fancy.

"Fancy place you got there." He called out from the shallow waves. "Expecting a party or something?"

He was genuinely curious,. The place looked like it would fit in with the corals he likes to swim around. But this was on dry land, while he would love to see what it all really looked like, but he was bound to the water, two legs didn't walk too well on land. They were best in water... Like the rest of him..

The extra sound of splashing caught slowly to Perchuhi's ears. She was too distracted watching the ripples in her little pool bouncing off the sides back to her hoof. The touch of the water always made her feel at peace. Like a piece of her that had been missing was now back. She supposed this was all due to her Nova heritage, this attraction to water that she had. She always felt like she should have been born a Nova. The ocean always seemed to suit her much better than the land did.

Her thoughts were broken by a sudden voice in her ear and she realized that extra amount of splashing wasn't just coming from her. Of course not, you silly. It was a nice, sandy beach with barely a boulder for the waves to crash into to make such a sound. She had grown so used to being here on her own she almost forgot she could be interrupted at any moment. It wasn't like she was enclosed by four walls.

The pale mare turned her head towards the noise, a little more sharply than she had intended. A sudden noise was still a little startling.

"A party? Oh, no. I just like to make my area extra beautiful for anyone who wishes to visit." Which wasn't very often, until word of the herd that specialized in baths and spas spread further. But it kept her busy, tending so diligently to the two pools and the area surrounding them. "My name is Perchuhi."

Ears flicked slightly as water trailed down over them as Marrok tilted his head ever so gently to one side. He supposed that that was a nice reason to keep the pools looking nice, but he wasn't too sure whom would visit. Though he guess anyone could, Folding his legs before him, his tail still beneath the waves, at times giving a flick to throw water over him. One thing he detested most was drying out, even if the weather was temperate and comfortable to be in and out of the water.

"Do you happen to get many visitors?" He asked in curiosity as it seemed that the place was very vacant besides the two of them. "I'm Marrok, it is a pleasure greeting you Perchuhi." Marrok nodded his head.

He glanced at the distance between himself and the pools, he didn't know if he could make it that far.. Then again, he wasn't too sure how he would do in the clean water that lack the salt of the seas. For the most part, he was happy where is was, just the talking over the short distance seemed a little saddening. So for the time being, he remained where he was watching the mare at the pools.

Perchuhi pulled her hoof back from the water, hearing the click it made when it hit the stone path that skirted the edge of each pool. As she moved away from the water and closer to the Nova out of respect to keep their voices lowered at a polite level, the little star usually hanging off her body fell off into the water with a splash, showering her lower legs with water. She glanced down for a little bit, just enough to see it floating there with that usual smile on its face, before turning her attention back on the stranger.

"Not really," came her answer, a tinge of the disappointment in her voice. It would be nice if someone did. She put so much of her time into keeping it clean and beautiful looking just in case anyone did want to use them. But it wasn't like they got no use whatsoever. Every now and than she had someone to attend to. Sometimes that Star wasn't even of the herd. "It's still a small herd. Mostly just me and the royal family. Not many Stars other than Nova come down this way. We're a bit out of the way, huh? Being so close to the ocean."

Perchuhi stopped a little ways, her hooves sinking into the soft sand. She kicked idly at a stray petal, not sending it very far away from her. "Oh! This is Nostos, by the way. The royal family is further away from the ocean, but I like the sound of the waves and the look of the water. Must be from my Nova mother."
