The City has been lit up for the Star Festival with banners and twinkling decorations strewn off the windowsills of shop fronts and windows. The gardeners at one particular park have put their heart and soul into creating a fairy's paradise: Fairy lights have been carefully dangled from trees to make strings of stars, little beaded jewels have been hidden among the hedges, and even the old cobwebs have been sprayed with just a touch of glitter. The park is open to everyone and the citizens of Destiny City have been invited to respectfully explore the hidden wonders that have been placed throughout. The park is magical enough on its own but there have also been reports of a strange, ethereal and shimmering stranger in the park. The glimmer of a beautiful costumed figure fluttering through the park has been passed around as rumor, and no matter what anyone claims to see, no one can take a picture of it. As if simply seeing some magical figure isn’t mysterious enough, there are also reports of mischief and small pranks being played at the same time this figure seems to appear.

Chambersite was surprised that he hadn’t been caught yet. The Star Festival was supposed to be bigger than ever this year which meant that he had more targets that he could gather energy from. But surprisingly he hadn’t sensed any Order auras around. He wondered if they thought that Agents wouldn’t dare to show their faces at the festival or take the chance to drain there, or if they just didn’t want to go to the area, he was in.

The park that he was in had been decorated from the ground up and he could have sworn that every single leaf had some sort of decoration on it. To be honest, he wouldn’t have been caught dead near the area while he was a civilian. He didn’t mind fantasy/fairy things, but this was likely to cause diabetes. He only hoped that he couldn’t catch it in his powered form.

Well, and there had been some rumors about a figure and “pranks” being pulled within the area, but he was sure that it was just another one of the rumors that someone had come up with, and some conspiracy theorists/crazy people had gone to town with it.

But he wasn’t complaining. It had given him plenty of targets to drain energy from, and all he had to do was lean on one of the trees, pretending to be mesmerized by the sight in front of him and people wouldn’t think anything of it. And so far, after having stayed for almost 3 hours to collect all of the energy he needed for the week, he hadn’t seen anything that the rumors had said. There had been no mysterious figure and from what he could tell no one had been pranked. Though he wondered what would constitute a “prank” anyway. Was it the type of prank such as googly eyes on a tree, or something more serious that only jerks would laugh at but weren’t actual pranks. He didn’t really participate in them himself, but he did follow the rule of, unless the prank-ee can laugh at it, then it was not a prank.

As he slipped the last orb of energy that he had gathered into his pocket and stood away from the tree, making sure to stretch since he had been in the same place for so long, he noticed something far from where he was.

Squinting he could just make something out… he wasn’t sure what it was though. He moved towards it trying to make out whatever it was. It was glowing and didn’t appear to be solid. More like light moving around. And when he got close enough to it, he could see that it was a… something. He wouldn’t call it a “someone” unless it could talk to him, but it certainly did look like a person. Perhaps there was something to the rumors after all? Or it was just the city’s idea of a “prank”. Honestly, he wouldn’t have been surprised if they used it to get more traffic.

Before he had any more time to think about it, the figure disappeared before his eyes and once again he was the only one in this part of the park. He shook his head. Whatever it had been, it wasn’t his problem now and he certainly wasn’t going to get stuck on it. There was technology that could do such a thing and if it wasn’t that, then perhaps it was something that the Order was doing. Either way, unless it affected him, then he didn’t care.

And with that he teleported to the castle, ready to turn in the energy that he had collected. Just another night of gathering energy and nothing memorable had come out it.
