The Charity Benefit (2) - The Charity Benefit has drawn a social crowd and they seem keen to make conversation as well as friends. The room is full of compliments and kind words and every now and then it looks like you're catching someone's eye and one person in particular seems to be paying more attention to you than the others. The stranger lingers by a display table showcasing some of the donated auction items. They look familiar but you can’t quite place why. If you try to approach them, the stranger suddenly seems to disappear before your eyes. It might be easy to assume they got lost in the crowd, but any examination of the room makes it hard to tell where they’ve gone. More than that, it seems like sometimes you catch a glimpse of them in one part of the room only to see them disappear in the blink of an eye and immediately appear across the room in a different spot entirely. It’s impossible to get close to them, and the sensation of eyes on you never really fades.
When it came to the charity event being run by the city of Destiny City, Hux had been planning on going for a while now, mainly due to how his cousin Alex had planning on going but still he did have other reasons too. Like being able to give to the city in some way even if only in small ways such as admittion fees. While fighting to make earth a better place from the white moon was a good cause and all, it still made him guilty for damages that were side effects of said fighting and so didn't have any reservations about helping the city in other ways such as this. Hux made a mental note to talk to Alex about seeing if other agents were trying to keep property damage down later, later being when they were home as they were way too open to talk about those types of things not to mention he wasn't entirely sure where his cousin was at the time.
Either way Hux brought his thoughts back to his surroundings and once again started to flit about the crowd of the benefit, of course he did keep an eye out for Alex while moving around. Thanks to trying to spot his cousin it didn't take long for Hux to see someone who looked like they were staring at him. The tall blond blinked then tried to place where he might have met the man before as he seemed familiar somehow but nothing was really coming to mind. Was he another agent that he had seen from a distance before? Or maybe just a civilian that he had spotted once and had stood out at the time? The thought that it could be a white moon Senshi or Knight didn't cross his mind seeing how as far as he was aware he didn't know any of them as civilians.
No answers came to him so, figuring that there was only one way to truly find out if he actually knew the man, Hux set off to talk to the familiar stranger. However only a few steps in and the stranger disappeared much to Hux's slight surprise. The tall blond stood there for a moment but figured that the man had just ended up moving into the crowd after a moment. Oh well, guess he wouldn't be getting those answers after all. At least that's what Hux was thinking as he causally looked around the event and didn't spy the man anywhere. He almost went back to mingling but before he could he spotted the stranger again and he was once again staring but in a completely different area of the room then before.
Hux gave a brief frown but shrugged it off and once again started to head towards the man but like before only a few steps into the walk had the stranger disappearing. This time Hux felt a shiver go up his spine and the feeling of eyes watching him seemed to intensify strangely. Looking around again only netted him glimpses of the stranger and no matter where Hux went in the room it seemed he never got closer to him so in the end he gave up and went looking for Alex. Maybe his cousin would know what was going on.
