              ■ AMBITIOUS Valeria has always been rather goal oriented. She isn't afraid to put her all into her goals, and try her hardest to get what she wants. She refuses to let anything get in the way of her once she sets her mind to it.
              ■ SCATTERBRAINED Despite being goal oriented, Val finds it hard to keep everything straight. She is very disorganized and has about a million notes everywhere to try and remind herself of everything she needs to do. She is constantly forgetting her chores, her books, her homework, etc because she's more preoccupied with the next big thing.
              ■ ENTHUSIASTIC Valeria is always ready to party, and is up for pretty much anything. She'll always be the one saying yes to a midnight stroll, or a dip in the lake, even if it's the worst idea you could come up with. Anything that is even a bit fun, will have her interested. Even things less fun and more dangerous will grab her attention.
              ■ SELF-RELIANT Val is very self-reliant. Her mother was always a bit of an air head and her aunt, uncle, and grandparents were always flitting in and out of her life as they traveled, leaving Val to mostly take care of herself from a young age. She learned how to cook, clean, do laundry, and other mundane things. Because of this she has found herself unable to rely on other people for very much.
              ■ TROUBLEMAKER Valeria is very much a troublemaker. She loves to see just how many rules she can break before she gets caught, and anything that might cause a little chaos sounds like fun to her. Of course in her family, she could do quite a bit before anyone ever noticed, leading to bigger and bigger troubles.
              ■ RESTLESS Like her mother before her, she is restless. Val always wants to be doing something, or going somewhere. Sitting doing nothing, or doing anything that requires her to stay still for long periods of time causes her to get anxious and annoyed.

          CHILDHOOD Valeria was born to Arnemetia Diarmid when she was a sixth year at Hogwarts. Her mother then decided to drop out of school to raise her, a nice thought, but not the best choice. When her mother's boyfriend Oliver graduated, she and her mother went to live with him and for about five years everything was as happy as could be. Valeria had a loving father, and a sweet albeit a bit airheaded mother. When she was five though, it was revealed to her that Oliver was not her father, and she and her mother moved out of the flat and back in with her grandparents.

          This was devastating for Valeria at the time, but as she got older she grew to understand why it happened. Her mother was not the easiest person to love, and finding out the child you had been raising wasn't your own had to be hard. Unfortunately for Val, as she got older, her mother fell back into her old habits of travelling with her parents at times, leaving Valeria with a rotating set of guardians consisting of her mother, her aunt, her uncle, and her grandparents depending on the week. Because of this she learned how to fend for herself and did her best not to rely on any of her family very much. Her mother has since refused to reveal who her actual father is, leaving Val to contemplate that as well.

          The year before her first year, Val happened to meet two other magical kids at the zoo and the became quick friends. Although the two boys would be a year below her at Hogwarts she didn't mind. She even spent the night at Simon's house in the spring! She received her Hogwarts letter shortly after and was beyond excited to go to school and finally maybe find some real family.

          SCHOOL YEARS
              FIRST YEAR Val was sorted into Gryffindor, which was great. She didn't have to share a house with her stupid mother. She also easily made quite a few friends without any trouble. Including Dixie Lynn, Murgo, and a boy named Jude who continued to insist they definitely were not friends. He was wrong of course.
