The Wishing Tree (1): A Destiny City Star Festival Tradition to be held every year; In Town Square, there is a beautiful tree with spreading branches. It is tall, but the lowest branches are easily reached. The city has decorated the tree with small, starlike ornaments and glistening lights. Thick leaves and beautiful purple flowers dangle from the branches, along with a myriad of different colored papers with handwritten wishes. Next to the tree is a stack of blank paper with twine attached, and a handwritten sign that explains:
Write your wish on a sheet of paper and tie it to the tree. Take one wish off the tree and do your best to grant it. When you have granted the wish, bury the paper in the park.
The papers are biodegradable and filled with seeds. There are no rules for wishing, but you are encouraged to wish for something vague enough that it can be interpreted in many ways so that it can be granted; you do not write your name on it, but it is encouraged to write something that doesn’t wish for self gain, but rather something that can make the world a better place. Some wishes dangling from the tree already include things like “I wish there wasn’t so much litter in the park,” “I wish someone would clean the graffiti off the old historic buildings,” and “I wish there were more volunteers at the shelter.”
If you choose to use the Wishing Tree, what do you wish for? If your wish is private, you may write it on the paper and choose a spot in the park and bury it yourself instead of hanging it on the tree.

The sounds of laughter and general chatting were everywhere in the town square area as couples, families, and single persons like her were bustling about. The tall tree in the center sparkled in the sunlight thanks to it's multitude of decorations on it, though there were plenty in the surrounding buildings and such as well. It all was eye catching but still fairly tasteful over all with some small exceptions but Joanna wasn't here for the decorations, or at least she wasn't only there in the town square for the decorations that had been scattered about to the decorators hearts content.
The blond woman was however here mostly for the tree itself. Over the past few years she had enjoyed being a Senshi, even if by a lot of standards she was considered a 'bad guy' just for being chaos, but had honestly spent most of the time focusing on her schooling. Now she was this close to being done with her degree and she could step into the next chapter of her adult life. Maybe she could finally start to focus a bit more on being said Senshi while at it and get more active in the life it means.
These types of thoughts ran through Joanna's mind as she made her way over to the tree to stand staring at it, lost in said thoughts. What kind of growth would she experience from finally being active? What kinds of things would she learn that she had been ignorant to? Would she finally be able to have her own realm, something she hadn't been actively gunning for yet but oh so wanted. The possibilities were all there for her to reach out and grab she just needed to make the effort for it. Still she should probably focus on the here and now.
She shook her head as if to clear the thoughts clouding it then refocused on the tree and the stack of paper next to it. Joanna moved to join the small line of people that were writing their wishes, pondering just what it was she was going to write on the paper and if she was going to actually place it on the tree or not. Soon enough the small family that had been in front of her left to place their wishes on the tree and she moved up to the paper stack. Taking out a pen from one of her cargo pants pocket she placed it to the paper.
For a moment she stared at the blank paper, no words coming to her before it hit her. ~I wish the world was better prepared.~ Once the words were scrawled on the paper she put the pen back in her pocket and started to head away from the tree. She wouldn't need the twine, her wish wouldn't be place on the tree. This was her wish and she was in the right Court to fulfill it by their very beliefs in being prepared for if the world was doomed. She would take her wish into her own hands and no one was going to stop her now.
