Strange things appear in Destiny City all the time, so nothing seems out of the ordinary about what might look like discarded trash, broken glass, or pieces of broken jewelry. If anyone were to lean in for a closer inspection, they might find a beautiful, gemstone like object that is shaped a bit like a star. They come in an array of colors and almost seem to have some sort of light sparkling in them.

For all the hustle and bustle of the city, and the numerous yearly activities that they insisted on putting out there for some nonsense reason or another, Landry rather liked the Star Festival. There was something just inherently satisfying of seeing all the rounded, fat stars hanging about the city and the twinkling lights that seemed to be almost everywhere. There were memories locked away in those lights, ones where he recalled holding hands with his father, marching down the streets and through the stalls while waiting for the next big thing to happen. And there were memories of baking cookies and the like there too.

Perhaps that was one of his more favored memories, and even now, as he walked through the booths in the park on his way home, he could think back on them fondly.

These days, his mind wandered less to his father, and more to another man who had become incredibly important in his life. If someone would have asked him a year ago his feelings on the world, everything would have been so bleak and bitter and pained. The details of this world could have been all painted in shades of grey and Landry would have not cared at all. Why should he when the world was often such a nasty place? People were greedy and selfish and just hideous to be around, so being alone was what felt most comfortable back then.

And now... He had more than just his sister to look to for comfort in this world. There was Obie, his underlings in the Negaverse, and most importantly, Gryphon.

Even the mere thought of the man made him smile. The world certainly looked different now; everything brought up thoughts of him. maybe he'd like this. Maybe he'd think this was silly. Yes, he most certainly would stop to look at this and make some sort of stupid joke, I'm sure.. Nothing but the utmost fondness for the man crossed his mind, and a particular thought of him made him pause in front of a stand.

Landry wasn't one for mementos, nor was he very particular about physical possessions in general, but this stall seemed to just pull him in. There were loose beads, both in a giant mixed bowl of color, and some that seemed fancier set off to the side. From what he gathered from the stall owner, you could make your own jewelry here, paying by the inch. Something about that appealed to Landry's sensibilities. Before he realized it, he began to make several pieces without much thought to the price.

A shimmering bracelet for Lori, that matched her eyes... Their eyes. Things that reminded him over her, like a bead shaped like a clover, as she somehow always seemed so lucky, and a bird, as she could always seem so free, with no ties to her.

A far more sturdy bracelet for Gryphon, with dark red wood, stained naturally, and the occasional lightly tinged tiger eye. Landry had little thoughts about actual 'meanings' behind stones, but knew that Gryphon had this knack for seeing things beyond what normally showed. A deep and complicated man, yet a dumbass most of the time.

He loved every moment of it.. As long as it wasn't directed towards him in some sort of negative, lecturey light.

This seemed enough. He didn't have anyone else he thought to make something for, and... it didn't seem to make sense to make one for himself. But one last thing caught his eye. Something seemed to have fallen out off the tabled, but.. when he leaned down and tried to return it to the stall owner, the owner denied it was his.

It was peculiar, to say the least. Almost star-like, glimmering in the softest of greens, and twinkling as if it fell from the sky.

Well, it was now his, and he absently slipped it into his coat pocket after paying for everything else. If nothing else came from it, it'd be a neat little thing to show off to Lori. Knowing her, she probably found something like this too.

Some people had all the luck, after all. And to him, there was no one more deserving, even if she could be a pain. With everything settled, he headed back home, gifts in hand, and fiddling with the little stone in his pocket. Maybe this time, this would be his own little bit of luck.
