My Journey Begins This kitsune just connected with his element, ice. He has a lot to learn, and is only just beginning to feel out his magic. To win him, you must respond to a roleplay prompt.  Colored by Taki-diThis kitsune's magical element: Ice.

I Take My First Steps "I always thought that connecting to my magic would be an inspiring, and forgive the term, magical experience. It was neither." Though, to be fair, it had been an invigorating moment- truly connecting with the Ice and feeling that power course through was energizing in a way no other thing was. But, it was not as if the knowledge of the world now lay at his paws. If anything, it had been humbling. He had found his element, and felt more alive than even days prior. Beyond that? It was as if he was a kit all over again. There was no crowning moment of revelation, he did not suddenly know the secrets of magic. The only benefit he'd discovered thus far was a very welcome immunity to the cold. Now, he'd only just recently connected to his power, and instant gratification wasn't exactly on his mind- but he would have liked some insight on how to tap into the element. There was time, however. The rest of his life laid out ahead of him, and with it, any number of discoveries for his power. He had no set goals in mind, just yet, but the idea of using ice defensively was appealing. Too easily could he picture the harm that Ice could cause, and there just wasn't any appeal to follow the obvious. It would be so much more fun to forge his own path, wouldn't it? He'd done well so far in finding his element. It was only uphill from there.

I Take My First StepsAs elated as Nightsong was, he soon found out that wielding ice powers is not an easy task. Ice is a stubborn element, and unforgiving of mistakes... He sighed, as he looked at his latest attempt. What a mess... He had meant to create a bridge of sorts, a narrow path, to cross the stream. Instead, it had gone a bit out of control and there was now a thin layer of ice over everything in a 3-foot radius of his intended target area. That's what he gets for not focusing properly. The clearer the mind, the better the results. It was a good thing he had removed himself from everyone else. The less who knew, the less who were hurt... the better. At least until he could master it. Even if it meant being a hermit. He was fine with that. With a soft whuffing sound, Nightsong lowered his head to poke the ice with his nose and sneezed. Slowly, the ice crumbled away into dust and was carried off by the gentle breeze. He was getting good at cleaning up after his mistakes. Better stick with the basics for now. He thought, rather forlornly. He remembered what the day was like when he'd first come into his ice powers... frost everywhere. Stunned looks from everyone. And the running away after stammering his apologies, saying he'd not return until he'd mastered it. He hadn't even waited for their replies... If he'd hoped to return, then he had to go about things the right way and not rush it.
