Betty Bay had been wondering all day. It was hard being around her family right now. every doe in the herd was having foal, it was just that time of the year really. Which also meant that it was that time of the year where her mother looked with disapproving eyes and her father offer up any buck he could find not mated as a find specimen for her to have a foal with.It was not like she was not trying. She personally long for her own foals. She wanted nothing more then to have a big family full of the lover she had not had as a foal herself. But she knew some random fling was not the way to find a lasting relationship. She wanted the dream in the books she would occasionally find in the ruins, she just had not found it yet.
With a big sigh she counited to walk farther south in the Homewoods. She did not really have a direction in mind she just had to be way. Her tummy grumbled but she ignored it. *Grumble* "Are you going to find something to eat or do if have to lesion to that too?" Chenoa hopped a little behind her and she rolled her eyes at her companion. "I saw that." Chenoa said with a grin at Betty. They had become so close that even though they did not look at each other they could tell what the other was doing or feeling.
With another grumble and a sign Betty gave into the her hunger and her friend with out a word. She really just did not feel like talking about anything. And had even less fight in her to argue with Chenoa. Plus her tummy was getting hard to ignore. "When was the last time I ate?" She passively wondered to herself.
With her nose to the ground she sniffed around for something to nibble on. Both to satisfy her tummy and her companion. She really was down. She had spent most of her life feeling like she was a let down to her mother and father and this time of year just brought up the worst of all those memories. *Sigh*
"Ok miss that is about enough." Chenoa said to her. "What is going on with you?" Chenoa's voice said she was not going to let this go and Betty knew better then try and argue. "Its just you knew my family. All my sisters are having foals this time of year and my mother and father thing I should be as well." tears rolled feely down her cheeks which only made her angry at herself.
"Betty..." Chenoa hopped over to her friends hanging head. "...the great tree with fill this void you fill in his time for you. Your mother and father can no make your destiny e move any faster. Someday they will know that hurt they have caused you and know they were the ones in the wrong." Betty knew Chenoa's words where true and be young her years, which only gave them more truth. Sniffing back her hurt she weakly smiled at her friend. "You are right." "Good now lets find something to eat." Chenoa smiled at her friend who simple smiled and nodded.
Sniffing around Chenoa came across and sent she had never smelled before. Following the smell it lead her to something she had never seen before either. A big leafy bush with green heart shaped leaves stood before her. "Betty come look at this." Betty come behind Chenoa and looked a the strange bush. "Well that is different." Betty smelled it but the sent did not jog any memories. "Must be a new type of plant." She said with some excitement. New plants meant Vykeli was healing and growing. "What do you think it is?" Chenoa asked with curiosity. "No idea it could be anything. Food, herb, medicine." Betty listed some of the things but really had no idea.
"We should go find a botanica noul so they can study it." Betty suggested completely forgetting her hunger. Chenoa nodded in agreement forgetting her hunger as well; somethings where just to exciting. Hopping up onto Betty's back, Chenoa said "Lead the way." With a direction and a purpose Betty's thoughts turned for sad to happy. This planet was a sign of new life which gave her hope for her future. It was with happy thoughts they both went in search of the noul with the right gift.
