Accalia nodded to Connal as he parted ways from her heading out to the unknown. Padfoot was lingering as usual commenting she had a certain sparkle in her eyes. Thinking Padfoot was merely just being chatty without Connal being in earshot she just shook her head going about watering her own garden. Each droplet of water as they pinged off petals and leaves left Accalia with a serenity that life was plentiful here in Homewood. Each day she had been scanning for new plants growing keeping tabs on the previous she had discovered. When something tingled within her entire being she finally realized what Padfoot had been stating.
It was time.
Ages ago her mother had told Accalia and her sisters of a Great Tree that granted gifts if you passed the tests it placed in front of those that answered the call. So many possibilities yet one outstanding quality marked you as a magic-user. Accalia stopped placing her watering can back to its resting place. Stepping out of her garden she finally made her trek towards the great tree. Being an indescribable feeling she could only hint that it was strong, a pull that literally made her hooves move without consent.
Okay I'm coming...
Passing out of the serenity of Homewood she noted it was beginning to rain as she headed to the great tree. Pausing only for a moment when Padfoot saw her she could only "Its time. Let Connal know..." before moving onward in a hurried pace. After all this time she questioned why the Great Tree was summoning her now. So many nouls had come and gone and yet still more were being called to Vykeli's aid. Which she might add there was no problem answering this call rater, she just wondered why, now? Her sisters had been summoned, even the youngest yet she was left to the sanctuary of her plants. Perhaps, it wasn't time back then when the others were called. She had been slightly miffed though her instinct just accepted it naturally. As the huge tree appeared before her Accalia noted it was stark white like a bleached bone. It was without a doubt something to be humbled as she walked slower now dipping her horn in its presence. As she stood not but a few feet from its massive roots she sought to retrieve her voice tucked safely away from the world. It was an oddity to be within the gaze of this elderly spirit who gave life and purpose to Homewood itself. Breathing inward she dipped her head once more and spoke, "I am here". It was a soft sound, a murmur from her very soul responding to the deafening call swirling all around her.
Now, she would experience the truth and feeling as she awaited the great tree to bless her with. Wherever this dream transported her to she simply had to find and inscribe the meaning within. There was no telling what was coming but, she had finally acknowledged to herself she was ready. Closing her eyes she awaited her test...

Though no breeze passes through, Grandfather Tree's leaves rustle as Accalia approaches.
Choose one of the following prompts for Accalia's dream vision.
Quote:
You are in blackbriar bog. Through the murk you spot a large, dark shape - completely still, but impossible to identify from this distance. It might be a tree or the bones of some massive beast that once walked the land. You can't be certain if it's helpful or harmful. What do you do?
Quote:
While travelling through Homewood you meet an unfamiliar foal. The foal acts strangely and doesn’t communicate well. It appears to be orphaned. On closer inspection you realize the foal is sick with some disease you don’t recognize. The disease might endanger the rest of Homewood, but this poor foal… What do you do?

You are in the ruins of Erli. Suddenly a beam of metal comes crashing down not far from you and you hear a shout of pain. The beam has collapsed on top of a predator that was hunting you! The predator is alive, but trapped and injured. What do you do?

Accalia heard many a tale about the dreams along with the tests the great tree granted. She welcomed that light as her mother instructed she should when the time came. But, as her eyes opened she was merely standing there in Homewood as her morning began. Confused she looked around seeing nothing changed other then the Great Tree vanished from her sight. Had something gone wrong she wondered? Shrugging her thoughts away she headed back through Homewood to attend to her garden as her mornings always began. Something odd, out of place made her hooves halt as she noticed something quite peculiar. Standing on the other side of the river was a pure white foal she didn't recognize. Upon closer inspection, the young one seemed a bit strange the way it bobbed its head in a peculiar fashion. Its eyes seemed clear, almost non-existent leaving Accalia frozen with curiosity. Making her way through the river she approached the foal carefully wondering what was wrong. Whenever her plants were sick they wilted. This foal was unique but senses murmured there could be an illness involved. Homewood was healing nicely sprouting wonderful blooms, leaves, and buds. Seeing this foal's condition made her wonder if some disease was setting inward warning to plague Vykelli once more. This foal (a colt possibly) needed to be researched and brought to the high council. A definite urgency filled Accalia yet she wanted to learn more about this particular foal. The only traits it possessed was the head-bobbing and transparent eyes.
Pondering quickly she motioned for the youth to follow her with body language over speech. Accalia wasn't the most social of nouls; especially compared to her family.
Leading the youth to her clearing she immediately set to work opening and closing books. There had to be something, anything about a virus that once plagued this world. Page after page she sought the answer yet her patience over-weighed the urgency of the matter. When the foal stumbled its legs splayed around it flattened to the ground. No sound emitted nor expression exposed itself. The younglings just kept head bobbing as if it was normality.
Accalia frowned as she looked down at the foal. All her books she'd skimmed through held nothing about a virus or plague that could be returning. Perhaps, this foal was born this way? Closing her last book she decided to seek knowledge elsewhere coaxing the foal to follow once more after her nudges brought him to his footing. The eyes were the most peculiar thing about him yet his vision still remained. Occasionally it would look her direction following her movements while still moving its head. When Accalia entered a big library she once again sought an answer to this foal's predicament.
Nothing could be found other then a few lesser conditions noted.
Realizing this foal was a mystery she excepted the outcome heading to ones that would alert the council. This foal was a unique case which she could find no answer for but, she was certain after all her research he wasn't a plague at all. The elders would know for certain but she herself had discovered the truth even in an outcome of nothing. As she motioned for the foal to follow once more the blinding light returned causing the foal to disappear out of her vision. When she blinked again Accalia stood motionless beneath the Great Tree who had called upon her.
For a moment she paused then a small smile formed on her muzzle, "I understand now. The answer was there all along".
