Prompt The past five years have continued to meld and mesh the lands of Tendaji. Where once tribes kept to their own lands, many were now seeing their colorful neighbors on a regular basis. While the cultures still stand, a welcoming sense of curiosity and openness has resulted in a peace across the entire region.
What have you done these past five years? Have you explored? Have you welcomed others? What has your story been and how have you grown in this new future of Tendaji?
This solo-only prompt is for you to explore the growth of your character these past 5 years in relation to the cultures of Tendaji. You must walk us through how your character's impression of the other races has changed or evolved, and how they've grown as a result.

It had been months since Tytus had managed to take the time to go to the Xaraan racing track. It was a strange feeling to come back after everything which had happened for him. Tytus couldn’t help but to chuckle as he watched several young races working with their Xaraan. Talk about nostalgia. He wondered how Unkle Nikin was doing lately, especially since Tytus hadn’t been here to bother him in nearly a year. Even that visit had been short considering the amount of time that he had spent growing up around the tracks. Now he was so occupied with his military training and work that the young captain simply hadn’t the time to freely roam about like before.
A sigh left the Oban’s lips as he walked around the edges of the track. Back when he was freely racing he had been saving up so much coin for the future even when he didn’t even know exactly what his future had in store for him. Now that it had been five years he wanted to tell his younger self about everything. How he had grown up from a drifter with no real goals to someone who had embraced his family’s legacy and taken up a military position. How after battles and hard work he had even managed to snag the title of captain. Tytus smirked at the thought. He would have laughed at the idea. He had spent so many years just running from the family legacy that it seemed nearly impossible that he would be in such a position today. Sometimes you simply can’t escape fate. Just like he could not escape the Yaeli woman who had won his heart all those years ago. Starting a family with her had been his life changing moment. It was when he had seen those little babies that he had realized his duty to protect those that he cared for. Protecting them would mean protecting the country in which they resided and so to the military he went.
It was here at these tracks that Uncle Nikin had presented him with Arron’s gift of a Xaraan. The same Xaraan which nudged Tytus in the very moment, “Oof.” Tytus chuckled as he rubbed his mount’s neck lovingly, “Alright, alright. I know I should stop moping about the past and move on.” It was hard not to be nostalgic in this place though. Tytus shook his head before mounting Rakan, “Time to run again.” Urging the Xaraan on the man let out a ‘whoop’ of joy as he darted through the track with his Xaraan. They were a crimson and golden blur out in the open fields. Training in the military for the past five years had only strengthened their bond and Rakan was the one who had saved his hide in the battle against the Dretch. Tytus would never forget that fight nor would he forget his familiar’s near sacrifice to save him. It was a living memory of Gen and Arron, his fathers who he had loved and lost in time. Arron’s funeral had been harsh on Tytus but he was thankful that they had resolved their dispute before his second father passed almost three years ago. He would mourn him but he held no regrets. They had spent time together and his second father had loved him with all of his heart and Tytus him. He was thankful that the last few years had given him such a chance whereas he had avoided his other father in his younger years and had regretted not expressing his love more often when Gen passed. At least Arron had been there for him and over time they had bridged their division, especially once Tytus matured and took up his new position.
What weighed even more on his heart was the recent divide between Tytus and his family. Tytus had to travel through the country because of his position and he was constantly busy with training. His son, Valek, was prone to getting into fights recently and had finally decided to go to a training school so that he could hone his skills and learn to fight. Tytus could only pray to the gods that it would help keep his son out of trouble and away from the streets. The thought weighed heavily on him and he couldn’t help but to let out a long sigh. Matori would be a good and refreshing place for Valek and Tytus would be closer to there than Sulburi. He could visit often and just focus on their bond. Tytus took a deep breath as he raced along with Rakan. It was a good plan and he could only hope that the gods would continue to help him moving forward. Eventually everything would work out for the best. He just had to believe in it.
