[Tali 1]
Taliessin was playing outside, still within the bounds of the Violet Strumaria. She was singing lightly under her breath, a made-up song about the bright sky and heat, as well as the pretty waves that drifted into the coves of Baun. Her father was out working, which he did to help even with the popularity of the Vi growing. Her mother was inside working with a new musician, or possibly checking on the visitors who lived in the wing of the house they were not allowed to visit.
As a result, Tali was outside in the sun under the watchful gaze of one of the resting workers. They had many sitters, whoever wasn't busy practicing, and often they indulged in her request to sit out in the sun. They would stay in the shade, especially those with lighter skin who didn't want to burn, but Tali would play and dance and laugh outside.
It was why she heard a little bit of commotion, whispers really. She didn't realize what was going on - her mother and father only spoke in passing of the Kahikinans across the sea while they grew up. So, when she saw the silver skin and aqua hair of one walking through, she assumed it was another hybrid matori, her young mind unable to really pick out the differences of the creature who walked through as many whispered and pointed.
"Hummm..." she said thoughtfully, before looking around to see if she could find her sister. Surely Aria would know why everyone cared so much about this visitor to their small town.

Aria had been trying to find the new musician who was supposedly there to meet with their mother today, nosy as she could be sometimes, when she heard some of the younger dancers whispering as they made their way out of the main entrance hall. "Did you see them?" One whispered. "Yes! Though I can't tell if they were a feminine male or maybe a muscular female..." The two girls whispered back and forth as they rushed past Aria. Confused as she was, she made her way towards the front door in hopes of catching a glimpse of whatever visitor they were talking about. She tried to be a bit sneaky about it and when she saw them, it made her brows furrow too. Her mouth quirked as she thought and automatically her feet took her towards her sister's favorite spot to play outside in the sun. "Tali?" She called out as her eyes got accustomed to the bright sun.

[Tali 2]
The other dancers and musicians were coming out, whispering and giggling like the hens they were. Tali watched them with pursed lips, before glancing around to see if she could find somewhere higher to perch and watch over the small fence that surrounded her home.
Her daddy said it was to keep people out who didn't have the best interests in mind. Tali saw it more as a barrier that limited smaller people like her from seeing the world around them.
As she eyed a set of crates from a recent shipment, she heard her voice and spun around to see the bright flash of hair that meant one thing - her sister.
"Aria!" she hollered, waiving her arm, "Over here!"

Aria had just caught a glimpse of her sister's dark skin through the others and made once she heard Tali, she quickly made her way over. "Have you heard Tali? Did you see the newest visitor?!" She got closer so she could whisper conspiratorially to her sister. "Some of the dancers were talking about it and I just had to check it out but....I'm confused." Arianum tried to gather her thoughts before continuing but how could she even describe what she had seen? Her lips pressed together and quirked to the side as she tried to think of an explanation but was coming up blank. "Well, did you see them?" Maybe she'd get her sister's opinion first.

[Tali 3]
As Aria moved in close, Tali gave her a quick hug. It was the childish hug where you clingged tightly for a moment with your head moved to the side, giggling before letting go.
"Did I hear? Oh boy I did!" she said with a smile, before gesturing around to the growing crowd of dancers. Oh, their mother wasn't going to be pleased with the distraction when she found out, "Well, I saw a crowd...right outside of the fence...I was trying to get higher so I could see...I think they are still close looking around the village..."

Aria giggled along with her sister at all the hustle and bustle around them. "No they're inside now! I wouldn't have known if two of the younger dancers hadn't been gossiping. But I.....I don't really know how to describe what they looked like. Wanna go on a stealth mission??" What better way for her sister to be able to see the stranger and have fun at the same time!

Tali moved her hands to grip her hair, the heat making it stick to the back of her neck. She pulled it to the side and flipped it like she saw her mother do sometimes, before nodding, "We are the stealthiest in the village!"
Now, maybe that was an exaggeration. Or just the fact that their sitters let them get away with 'stealth', but in her mind they could sneak around like the daring do-gooders they heard about in bedtime stories, using the shadows to make their way through to their destination.
"Let's investigate!"

Arianum giggled mischievously and assumed the crouched sneaky position all must assume when trying to be sneaky. Everyone knew that if you didn't use the universal sneak position there was no way you were going to be sneaky enough. "Where should we start first? I think I saw them inside but if you heard stuff outside..." It was possible they had moved...where could they start and hopefully not get spotted and stopped by either one of their parents? "Do you want to take the lead?" She asked her sister.

"They were walking around when all the dancers came out to crowd the entrance. I wasn't able to get very close..." She explained with a pout, "You think they are they visiting the Vi?"
Maybe it was a future dancer. Then they'd be able to ask all sorts of questions about what made them so exciting.
Shrugging at the offer to take the lead, Tali tapped her fingers again a moment and looked back at her sitter. They wouldn't mind if they were still in the Vi, right?
"Sure, let's take the side entrance!"

"Maybe! Wouldn't that be cool? Maybe we'd get a chance to ask them some questions about their home if they were! We'd have to be sneaky about that too though..." She nodded as Tali suggested going in the side door. Whispering, "Maybe we can even lose the sitter if we're fast and sneaky enough." As they darted towards the side door, Aria couldn't help but think out loud. 'I'm kinda sad to know that they don't have tails and are able to walk around like us! When I first heard about the new place I thought it'd be pretty cool to swim around in the water with a tail..."

"Like a fish?" Tali asked, trying to not picture a perzi tail although that would be cute too. As they darted around she ignored any stress of the sitter - it was pretty normal that the two girls could get away with their playful games, especially considering their father was the one who was called to catch them. Tali had no concerns that Kres would be mad considering they were inside the Vi still.
As they moved through the side entrance, it was empty which was a sign something was up. Tali walked over to the cloth that covered the door and peeked over, eyeing the group before it parted and she saw it.
"Aria...Aria quick look!" She hissed, her eyes wide as she looked at the silver colored person standing in the room, looking around with wide blue eyes and blue hair. And their ears, it was just like the Matori but they had scales.
Tali moved back, her jaw dropped dramatically, "I've never seen anyone look like that, and I've seen everyone!"

"Yeah like a fish...since they're supposed to live in the water and all." As Tali peeked through the door covering, Aria watched their backs in case they were found out early. But it seemed she didn't have to wait long. She almost jumped at her sister's quiet whispers before turning around and peeking through herself. Her own eyes widened as she took in the foreign person. "Me either....do....do you think they all look like that? Like Matori but....not?" She whispered back. Aria wanted to look at her sister's reaction but also didn't want to look away.

Tali was pensive, thinking for a moment before shrugging, "They look like a hybrid Matori to me...and they aren't underwater....I don't get it."
She turned to look at her sister again, "Yeah, they must look like that...but with gills and scales. I wonder if momma is going to offer them a job? Where would they live? The bay?" She giggled at that, "Then they'd really need a tail to splash around with, dancer of the bay!"
She smiled, before looking back toward the door, "Do you want to go say hello?" Tilting her head, Tali was a bit excited at the chance, but concerned their mother might come drag them outside. Not that they weren't allowed to be out, but sometimes it was 'business' and Itotia was very clear with where they needed to be when it was business.

"Yeah me either....doesn't make sense. I guess the rumors were wrong?" She giggled at her sister's thoughts. "I mean, I bet people would come and see that for sure! While I want to go say hi...maybe their here because Momma is going to help them? Like she does with some of the others that come through? Maybe we should wait...and if we see them again then it's fair game?" It sounded reasonable to her. Their mother could be just around the corner for all she knew and she didn't feel like getting in trouble right now. "Come on, let's go back outside where we don't have to be so quiet!" She tugged on her sister's hand and tried to run sneakily back the way they came.
