 His twin brother was rather put out with him for the moment. Desert Sand couldn't blame him either. He was also understanding now why Desert Storm was always licking off the healing herbs Sand put on him. His wound itched and all he wanted to do was lick it. Instead he forced himself to ignore the itch and the wet patch of herbs covering it, as uncomfortable as it was.
The pack still needed food and he'd agreed to team up with another pack member to continue the search. Desert Sand looked around and hoped Ripples of Light would come soon. He'd seen her around, but hadn't really interacted with her much. A historian didn't have much use for a healer after all.
He wondered if she'd also gone out looking. Should they look where they'd had luck before? Or check out a new area in the hopes of finding fresh, un-skittish prey? Sand decided to let her pick wherever she wanted.

There was only so much time she could spend even with her brother before she wanted to maul him. Or maybe she was simply on edge after having multiple attempts at scouting only turn up evidence and nothing more. Either way, Ripples of Light appeared as scheduled with her usual scowl, padding her way to Desert Sand without so much as a hello. Why would she need to? The twins were known already - and naturally, she had to be saddled with the one who had a bleeding heart. A pity.
"I had luck earlier in this direction," Rip said without stopping, brushing past the other wolf, her eyes ever forward. "Keep up." She had spotted the wet patch over his wound and bristled just a little bit more. Gods help her if it was enough to slow them down.

medigel I'm so sorry for the wait!
He wisely kept his mouth shut as they walked. She already seemed irritated at something, maybe him? Instead he focused on keeping up, which was pretty easy since he kept up with his twin, and not letting himself get distracted by plants. Sand doubted she'd take kindly or understandingly like his brother if he wandered off. She'd probably leave him. The lighter male kept his noise in the air searching for prey, but found nothing.
