Julienne had felt rather…hollow for the last few months. She couldn’t find Lenka, and Goretti had confirmed that something had happened to the girl…that she was missing. Even though the two hadn’t been close in the past few years…with Lenka wanting to focus on her civilian life, the mauvian understood, and gave her the space that she needed but…
That feeling…the one of something snapping…of something breaking within her…that…
It wasn’t a feeling that she wanted to have. Wanted to remember. Even now it made her feel cold and so bitterly alone. And small.
There was an emptiness inside of her that she couldn’t quite understand, and didn’t want to truly know the meaning of…but there was only on reason for it…and that was something terrible must have happened to her Lenka. Something terrible that she didn’t even want to fathom.
The Siberian was laying, sprawled on a low wall surrounding some hedges near the park where Lenka had used to train when she was a chibi…
She was here often, hoping that there would be some clue to where her senshi had gone. Some clue as to what had happened.
There was the feeling of a senshi nearby, but she knew it wasn’t Lenka. It wasn’t strong enough to be Lenka.
Nobody would ever be Lenka.

Adria was no the best senshi and he knew it, but he was determined to find some worth in himself to make it back into the Court. He hadn't been kicked out, he just felt like an outsider. He needed an excuse to be around them, he needed to be stronger.
He needed to keep trying.
He was afraid of hurting, of getting killed. He knew the risks. He was terrified to wind up in the hospital again, to scare his family and friends. He was being careful but the nagging concern lingered in the back of his mind without fail.
He was aware of his surroundings but almost didn't even see the Mauvian on the low wall until her energy signature flared up and he realized he was right next to her.
A second passed before recognition. "Julienne!" he greeted eagerly, a burst of surprise and enthusiasm in his voice. He hadn't seen a Mauvian in a long time, but to find her--the one who awakened him.
He might not have been an eternal senshi but he was still alive and he'd come this far. He sat down on the wall next to her and smiled down at her. "I haven't seen you in so long, I was worried about you! How are you doing? --It's me, Adria," he blurted, as if afraid she might have forgotten him.

Julienne paused, tilting her head when she heard her name, and when she looked up and saw the senshi, she broke into a smile, rushing over to him and gently headbutting his chest, beginning to purr. “Adria! Look at you! You’ve gotten so much stronger!” She looked delighted, and felt a surge of pride.
But, him being a super senshi wasn’t the only source of strength that she was sensing…he was ready to grow beyond that, if her senses weren’t lying to her.
“You’ve been training, haven’t you? Your starseed is absolutely bursting with power…I….May I unlock it for you? It would be…it would be full circle for us, and oh…it would make me so happy…”
Something had to, after all. She still felt so utterly unbalanced without knowing where Lenka was. Without knowing if she were okay. “I bet you’ll look beautiful with your eternal fuku!”

Adria looked so happy to see the Mauvian and immediately began stroking her head. Still, it seemed to take him a few seconds to even understand what she was saying and his smile fell from his face in absolute confusion.
"You think..."
He looked down at his chest, as if he should expect to see some hint that his starseed was actually ready. He had wanted this for so long that the fear of disappointment, of some last minute failure, petrified him. His breath caught in his throat and for a moment he forgot how to speak.
Was he bursting with power? Was he ready?
His blood was cold at the thought that maybe she was teasing him and he felt so stupid for being so gullible and falling for it--but then, when had she ever been like that?
His mouth was suddenly dry and though his brows were knit his eyes were alight with hope. "--Are you sure?" he pressed. "I--really?"
Like he couldn't believe it, like it was so hard for him to think that he had succeeded somewhere.
...Like he was finally catching up.

Julienne tilted her head and nodded, giving another feline smile. “Of course really. It’s plain as day that you’re ready…may I please borrow your henshin pen? I can’t wait to see what you look like with your wings~!” For the first time since losing Lenka, the Siberian felt her mood lifting just a little.
“You know…I really am glad that I ran into you tonight…I’m not sure what’s going on but…” She swallowed, waiting to be given his pen so that she could perform the upgrade. “My bonded senshi…my Lenka…she’s disappeared and…and I just don’t know what happened. Or what to do…or how to find her…”
The smile faltered and the cat sat back, watching the senshi for a long moment. “Knowing that you’re all right. That you’re doing so well…it’s a balm to me, Adria. Thank you for this.”

Adria was nearly bursting at the seams when he handed the pen over. “Please,” he said under his breath, but it was hard to be excited when she had such a long face. “I’m…I’m happy that I can lift your spirits at all, but…”
There was no way he could compare to a bonded senshi. He kept his pen offered in his open palm. “...Are you okay? --Do you have somewhere to stay? If you don’t, you can come back with me. I still live at the same place. I might even be able to get you some salmon or something, too.”
His brows were knit with obvious concern for her. “If you have any information on her, I can help you look, too…”

The Mauvian took the henshin pen between her paws, looking at it fondly. “Ah, you’re…very sweet, Adria. Thank you. That means a lot!”
It only took a moment of concentration, using a spark of her magic to unlock the tool to better accommodate the power that was overflowing from Adria’s starseed, and with a satisfied purr, she watched as the small pen began to glow and changed forms. With a nod, she sat up and held up the pen in her front paws. “Take this, and please say, Adria Eternal Power, Make Up!”
There was a look of excitement in her eyes visible through the sadness. “…I can’t wait to see how the wings look on you, Adria. And…please. We can talk about Lenka later…right now, this is about you. And how very proud I am of you. You’ve done amazingly well!”
And he was still here.
That meant the most to her right now.

Adria was so eager that he nearly dropped his pen when she handed it back to him; he nodded quickly and clutched it tightly. Her praise was almost enough to make him cry and if he'd had the sense to, he might have been ashamed of how raw his emotions were manifesting.
He hadn't realized how desperate he was for someone to tell him he was doing okay until now. He hadn't realized how much he needed to be told that someone was proud of him.
He sucked in a breath and repeated the phrase; in a burst of power and light, his entire outfit changed--and before Julienne stood Eternal Sailor Adria. He seemed to be trying to take in his complete appearance immediately, looking himself up and down. "Ah! I do have wings!" he said, voice wavering. "Julienne!"
He dropped to his knees so hard that he would probably have bruises in the morning, and scooped her up into his arms. "Thank you," he said, hugging her tightly--not enough to hurt, but enough that she could feel how much this meant to him.
"Thank you. I've been working really hard, I promise. I'm not going to stop now. I won't let you down."

He was beautiful. Julienne watched as Adria made the transformation to an eternal senshi and felt her chest utterly filling with pride, and the fact that he looked so happy made it all even better. Obviously he had wanted this. Needed it, even.
And when he picked her into his arms and hugged her…she realized that she needed this. For a moment, the Mauvian was unable to do anything but blink in confusion, and then she began to purr, the sound loud and obviously pleased. “I know you’ve been working hard! I can see that! I…”
She closed her eyes for a moment, nuzzling against him. “…Adria, obviously you should bring me home and thank me properly with a good meal for this, right? Obviously you want to spend more time with me?”
Julienne was pleased that she didn’t sound too needy, just a little smug, a little hopeful. But not too needy.
“Salmon is always a good reward for an upgrade, you know. And…if you wanted to, I wouldn’t say no to you holding me like this a lot.” It felt like it had been forever since she had been squeezed like this. And…she liked it.

Adria hesitated, just standing there for a moment and holding her. She felt like she needed the hug as much as he did. He relaxed at the sound of her purring and began to gently stroke down her back, fingers gently tangling in her fur. "Obviously," he answered gently.
"Of course you should come home with me, and absolutely I'll thank you with a good meal. I know how this works."
He kissed atop her head gently, tucking her head under his chin as he did so.
He wanted to stay powered up, wanting to run around and show everyone, wanted to go be a good senshi.
...But he had time. And he had Julienne. And she might not say it, but he could feel that she needed a little extra love and attention.
He slipped back into his civilian form, still holding her. "We can pick up some salmon on the way home. The good stuff, from a nice restaurant. And I'll hold you the whole time, on the way home and when we get there. You can stay with me for as long as you like, you know. It'd be better than you being out on the streets. And we can figure out a plan so I can help you look for Lenka. You won't have to be alone for this, I promise."
