Now that Nedrima had made her decision for her near future, she decided to go shopping in the market for some things not only for her on trip but also for her siblings. There was a few things she had in her mind for each of her siblings but one of the things she was really going to be looking for was a journal for her brother Aeuri to write things down on their journey. And she and her sister Nasuri always shared a love of jewelry together. So she was looking for those two main things as well as some general traveling supplies. Nedri walked up and down the stalls trying to check all the items off her list. Her basket was already getting a little heavy and she wasn't even halfway done with her shopping! Maybe two trips would be required...that would give her more time to think of some special gifts for her other siblings! She had found a stall selling jewelry that she remembered Nasuri buying from in the past and started browsing.

After the whole Brotherhood debacle, Rhag’na had felt a bit lost. There were family troubles brewing which Rhag’na had not felt like dealing with. Give him war, give him battles, swords, and shields and he is your man. But give him this petty politic in fighting and he was totally lost. At least with his father there had been none of this backstabbing secretive stuff, people were up front in a battle, you couldn’t hide behind twisted plots. You couldn’t trust anyone and lies were so prevalent Rhag’na understood why his father hadn’t allowed his mother to return to the family.
So, after debating what to do, with no ties keeping him in Zena, Rhag’na decided it was time to travel and see the world a little bit. It was quite the adjustment, especially when he arrived in Oba. He’d never felt such heat in his life and he struggled through it for a few days, shedding layer upon layer until he felt he couldn’t take anything else off without being indecent in public. Which meant he needed to buy travel clothing before he died of a heat stroke. He didn’t know if the colors of Oba would fit him well, but at this point did it really matter what he picked as long as it didn’t make him want to sweat so much?
He went out to the market that morning, browsing and seeing maybe if there was anything he might be anything he liked. He paused at a clothing seller next to a jewelry stand and browsed the wares.
“Let’s not take all day sir,” the Oban said sternly, arms crossed. “Do you know what you want?”
“No, I don’t know what I want,” Rhag’na replied as he glared at the man. “That’s no way to speak to a customer. Is this how Oba treats visitors?” They’d begun rising a small ruckus around them, people turned to look and whispered and pointed.

Nedrima had just been picking out a nice necklace when she started hearing some whispers from people behind her. She had somewhat lost track of her surroundings as she perused the merchant's wares but not she noticed a small crowd around the merchant's stall that was next to the jeweler's. It seemed to be caused by a zenan man and upon listening for just a few moments she realized what was going on. Nedri remembered that particular clothier from the past. It had been one of the first times her mother had taken her to the market and let her wander off while she kept her distance from daughter. This man had a bias against foreigners and Nedri herself had trouble with him which caused her mother to get involved. Upon learning of her family, the man changed his song and dance. A frown was on her face as she gently excused herself from the jeweler with a promise to return later and made her way towards the zenan. At first she wondered if she should really get involved. But it looked as if this man was newly arrived and the Oban heat must be sweltering. And if she took over the RA she'd have to deal with disagreements at some point in time. Stepping forward, she plastered on a smile and approached the stall. Knowing she should probably try and keep good graces with the merchant as he occasionally had some rare imports, Nedri had a hard time in doing that. She owed him no loyalty, nor did she the Zenan man for that fact. Yet she couldn't just let the outsider be treated so. All obans weren't so biased anymore! "Surely it won't be an issue if this man browses a little longer. After all, it appears this is his first time in Oba, shouldn't we let him see what all we have to offer?" Nedrima raised an eyebrow at the merchant before turning and giving Rhag'na a wink the merchant wouldn't be able to see.

The merchant knew Nedrima from the few times she’d come by to buy some of his more rare items, so he sighed loudly and waved a hand at Rhag’na. “Take all the time you need.”
Rhag’na turned to the woman, he was slightly taken aback by her appearance at first, he’d fully expected another Oban but she seemed like she was a Hybrid. Not that it bothered him, a friendly gesture to get him out of such a situation was much appreciated.
“I think I’ll take my business elsewhere.” He finally said, dropping the shirt he’d been holding in his hands and turning to walk away from the stall. He didn’t go very far though, he turned to face the woman. The least he could do was thank her and perhaps ask her to help him. She looked like she was from around here even if her skin gave her away as half wind tribe. Plus, he didn’t really have anywhere else to go right now and he was starting to profusely sweat.
“Excuse me ma’am,” he called to her. “I wanted to take the time to thank you for speaking up, you didn’t have to do it but you did.” Credit where credit was due!

She smiled at the merchant as he made his concession, however, the ice man decided he didn't want to continue shopping with this particular merchant and said so. At that, she began to turn away and get back to her own shopping. She couldn't blame him for not wanting to shop there. Nedri had done what she was able and there wasn't anything wrong with that. He called out to her to thank her, causing a large smile to reward him. "No thanks are really needed but you're welcome. I've had issues with him in the past until he found out who my family was then it was no issue of course. You made a good decision though. There's another merchant down the way who might not sell such extravagant clothing but they're well made and well priced. I think they would suit you better, if you'd like me to show you?" Nedrima offered. She had the time and it really wasn't any big deal for her.

Yes something much less extravagant was definitely something he’d enjoy, and he smiled just a little bit. He was glad she was offering though, he felt awkward and didn’t really want to disturb her from her shopping.
“I hope I’m not being an inconvenience,” he said slowly eyeing the belongings she held. Not only had he interrupted her shopping because of the merchant, who he eyed daggers at from the corner of his eyes, but now he needed her help. “But that would be very kind of you.” He added quickly, because what if she just pointed out the way and then he never found the merchant she had mentioned?
He wondered though exactly who this woman’s family was that their name could set a merchant straight. It wasn’t something he was unfamiliar with, however from what he had heard of Obans, their wealthy class tended to be… Well... Obans. She looked half the part so he was intrigued alright. If he remembered correctly, the Obans also had royalty, so maybe she was royalty? Or at least close to it enough that someone marrying a wind tribe wouldn’t really matter. Maybe if he asked her her name then he’d know.
“I’m Rhag’na,” he said in all seriousness to introduce himself and held his hand out towards her.

Nedrima laughed, not at the poor Ice man but because she often felt like an inconvenience to others so the irony was not lost on her. "You're not, I assure you. Just follow me, if you get lost in the crowd I'm sure I wont have too much trouble finding you again. This way," She said kindly with a nod of her head back towards the way she had come. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Rhag'na. I'm Nedrima. I'd ask how you like Oba but judging from your appearance it doesn't seem you've been here long and if your dealings have been similar to that merchant I don't expect you've had a very good first impression." Which was a shame. Nedrima loved Oba, it was home. And while her siblings had grand adventures to go out and see the world, Nedrima never had that same wanderlust, she enjoyed where she was at and the time she spent with family. Maybe that would change when everyone went their separate ways, she thought to herself making her frown ever so slightly. "In any case," Nedri recovered her line of thought, "Perhaps I can try and improve your first opinion of Oba."

Rhag’na’s brows furrowed a bit at her words, did he stand out so much from the crowd? Well that wouldn’t do. He wanted to blend in as much as possible, he wanted to be invisible just for a little bit. Granted he was a Zenian in Oba, so he wanted to get about as invisible as that could get. Thankfully, hopefully after this he’d blend in some more. Perhaps he should cut his hair? Maybe shave his beard too? He liked his beard though...
“Do you think I should cut my hair and shave my beard to blend in more?” He asked her, surely she would know. He played with his beard a bit as he followed her.
Nedrima, pretty name but not one that was tied directly to royalty since he didn’t know it.
“No I have not been here very long,” Smart girl, he laughed. “I plan on spending a bit of time in Oba, so hopefully that will change.” He contemplated her offer quietly. He wouldn’t mind a guide and he wouldn’t mind spending time with someone. He’d done most of his traveling alone up until now, so maybe a bit of company would do him well.
“If you don’t mind that would be very kind of you.” He’d have to repay her of the kindness, no one had been this kind to him since leaving Zena and it felt he needed to pay it back his kindness too.

Nedrima's brows furrowed as he asked his questions on appearance. She turned towards him to regard him, her mouth quirked as she took in his appearance. Nerima walked backwards effortlessly as one could expect from a dancer. He was a rather attractive man, she decided, but no amount of changes could really help him to not stick out in Oba. He mainly stood out because of his clothing, they were so ill-fitting for the Oban weather. "Why would you think that would help? If you don't mind me saying, Rhag'na, you're like a splash of color amidst a pallet of sand colors. Why would you want to fit in when you're born to stand out?" She asked, still regarding him with a smile. She turned around and started walking normally again, they were nearing the other merchant but still she couldn't help but continue. Appearance was something she had struggled with as a child, she was the only one among her siblings to have their mother's skin tone. It took her a long time to be okay with being different. Nedri turned and stopped this time. "Besides, not many could rock that hair or beard as good as you can."

Rhag’na thought he’d have a heart attack right there and then. He blushed, deeply and blinked many times. No one had ever complimented his appearance, much less a girl. He opened his mouth several times to say something, anything really, but could not find the right words. What does one say in this instance? Rhag’na pulled at the bottom of his shirt once to straighten it, coughed to clear his throat and tried to get over the compliment, but the blush stayed on his cheeks and the warmth made him sweat even more. Or was that nervousness?
“I, erm, I will keep the beard and hair then.” Rhag’na said looking to the side, though maybe he would tie up his hair in some fashion and maybe braid his beard so he wasn’t so warm. “I’ll buy some string to tie my hair then, so my neck can breath.” He nodded a few times, still trying to get the blush to stop.
“You’re very agile,” he said with a head tilt. Even if she had caught him completely off guard, he wasn’t so oblivious to his surroundings to have noticed how easily she moved. That was not something anyone could simply do, no, she had skills. “What do you do here in Oba?”

Nedrima hadn't thought much of her comments but watched as the man blushed. Oh....it almost started making her blush as well. She absentmindedly scratched the back of her head, ruffling her hair in the process. "Not having hair on your neck is definitely something that helps." She agreed. She was just about to start onward again when he noticed her nimbleness. "Oh, I'm a dancer." She replied happily, having finally felt like she had achieved enough in her profession to be able to call herself one. "My parents own the Red Amaryllis here and I'm training to one day, hopefully, take over for my mother." Keeping the business in the family! She supposed it was good she didn't have that wanderlust so she could take over whenever none of her other siblings showed any desire in it.

“Oh,” Well that explained quite a bit. He had heard of the establishment. “I heard there are many wonderful ladies there.” And then remembering who he was speaking with. “I mean, great dancers and entertainers. It was recommended.” Did that even sound better? Rhag’na mentally kicked himself, when had he become this bumbling fool? A little compliment from a pretty girl and he was tripping over himself like a manchild. It was not becoming.
“I hope your training goes well and you’ll be able to take over from your mother. Perhaps I will visit it one day if I can figure out how to navigate the city.” What else was he supposed to say? “And of course thank you again for helping. I’m not taking away from your training am I?” Because if there was one thing the Zenian knew was that training was important if it was not with a sword it must be just as equally important for a dancer.

The young woman couldn't help laugh, she knew the 'other' reputation her home could have. Some made it no secret while others were more discreet about their other offerings. She shrugged, "It's a place of many talents. You'll find some of the best 'entertainers' in many different disciplines there." Gesturing for him to follow her again, she continued moving. "We're not far now. It's not too difficult to navigate once you get the hang of it. Get lost once or twice or five times and you get the hang of it." She remembered getting lost a few times when she was younger and on errands. It took her so long to complete them each time but she knew each part of the city better each time. "Oh my training? No you're not keeping me from it. I was actually here buying some gifts for my siblings. They're about to head off on this grand adventure all over Tendaji, its supposed to be pretty cool I hear. I plan to set out at about the same time except I'm heading for Matori to train with one of my mother's former dancers who opened up their own business there. Hopefully I'll have lots to learn from her!"

“Maybe more than a few times for me.” Rhag’na wasn't sure how anyone got around these labyrinth streets. At least now he had someone who could at least give him some pointers as they went. As long as he could get in and out of the city and knew where the merchants were, he would be able to survive. Getting back to his tavern though would prove a bit more challenging, but Rhag’na was not one to give up so easily.
“Ah I am glad I”m not bothering you.” Well that was a relief. “How come you do not train with your mother? Or travel with your siblings for a bit?” Rhag’na wasn’t an artist kind of guy, he knew nothing of the arts and dancing was no exception. Surely, she’d want to travel a bit before settling down. Or was that him projecting onto her now?
