The midday sun hovered over the city of Sulburi, its amber rays warming the desert lands below. Thankfully the pile of towering stone buildings created a tunnel of sorts allowing a cool breeze to run through the city streets. It was this breeze which made things much more bearable for the hybrid as waves of people ebbed and flowed about her. A busy day indeed. Kyril stepped backwards as two Oban younglings chased each other down the streets. Golden and crimson ribbons clutched tightly in the little hands flew behind the younglings like dancing flames. The ribbons matched the rest of the streets which were decorated in ribbons and stalls for the festival of Atun. Since the festival was being held in his honor everything was decorated in colors of fire and of the sun.

It was a nice festival save for the smoldering heat of midday. Kyril knew that the festival started at this time because the midday sun was when the sun was at its most powerful, but she had been raised in Matori. Their festivals focused more on the goddess, Ubeli’ae. She much preferred the evening festivities with the finale being decorative lanterns glowing softly against the night sky as they floated up towards the full moon. It was a beautiful sight to behold, especially against the shimmering ocean.

Unlike the evening festivals that she loved, the festival of Atun was already in motion. Vendors were calling out for guests to try their goods, the scent of smoked meats and fresh breads intermingling from several carts further down the main street, I cannot understand how the Obans deal with this. She had been raised in Matori after all and the ocean breeze had usually kept such scorching heats at bay. Kyril could not blame her mother for falling in love with Matori and preferring to make their family home along the shores instead of in the desert city.

Still they were from a noble family and today Kyril dressed the part. She wore crimson silks with golden embroidery and had her hair pinned up with decorative pieces. A decorative fan with a painting of the sun was in her hand and she would use it to try and cool her exposed skin whenever the natural breeze weakened. Some might consider her the daughter of a wealthy merchant while the few that knew of her family would just sneer at a hybrid flaunting off noble status. Unbeknownst to Kyril, it was such a group of girls her age who found it very vexing to see the hybrid strolling out in public so boldly. She was very much alone today and it was even more tempting to take vengeance on the girl who had spoken out against them at their last family gathering.

They had run ahead after seeing Kyril entering the festive streets. A few coins had slipped into some street kids’ pockets and a bucket of water was promptly propped along the edge of one of the stone ledges above. It would just take an innocent step around a corner and then the trap would fall into place. Kyril took such an innocent step as she walked along and in less than a second the hybrid found herself drenched in water. Her mouth opened to let out a scream but Kyril promptly bit it back to instead twist around to try and see who had dared to dump water on her! Anger flared in her amber gaze and sparks of flame threatened to leave her fingertips. But as she remembered where she was and who she was the young woman instead clenched her shaking hands in her drenched skirts.

Already she was exasperated from the heat and with this added, Kyril could only feel her small capability for patience slipping away. If I get ahold of whoever… Her gaze narrowed as she heard giggles from across the street. She recognized those girls. Those dirty… They had to be behind it! Gritting her teeth she prepared to march forward when another crowd of people passed through the streets and the girls managed to slip away, “Gods!” Kyril swore as she kicked at the now empty bucket and knocked it bouncing through the back alley street and away from the festival.

Once, the festivals had been a busy time for Cerith. She could remember the visitors that would flock to the city, filling up the inns and gorging themselves on spirits and delicacies. Even in the midst of their worship, few Obans paused to lend in true spirituality and empathy to their own lives. Even in the cases where a festival or observation of a God’s rites were intended to be somber events, soon enough Obans would drop any pretence of respectful observation and instead turn to revelry and carnal delights. In her teen years, she could remember hours spent in the kitchens preparing; sweltering hot mornings at the market, getting the finest ingredients for that night’s patrons, not to mention the toil of actually serving throughout the evenings and entertaining the guests.

… There was a certain amount of catharsis, each year, in returning to the capital for the festivals, drinking imported wines and watching as others ran themselves ragged in her stead. Where, once, the morning market had been the domain of young slaves, now there were Obans and local freeborn Matori flitting through the stalls - no less harried and distracted, but more likely to pause in gossip and giggle and idle chatter. No fear of a master or mistress cuffing them for running late - just the giddy excitement in their eyes as they watched younger workers climbing the edges of buildings, balancing as they affixed ribbons and bells for the festival.

Now, Cerith was just one of many who returned in a sort of pilgrimage to enjoy the festivities. She had no intentions of working while she was here - her coin purse was far from heavy, but it was a promise she had made to herself not to lift a finger on this day, of many days. This was a distinction that was very important, because of the small theatre production that was playing right in front of her eyes. Cerith was sitting on one of the bench stools outside a cart of meat and sweet, frothy ale, and while she didn’t see the target of the ‘attack’ she did see the urchins as they flit about, setting up their trick.

She expected another young waif, or scullery maid to have the bucket fall - instead, a pretty young thing, dressed richly and clearly of hybrid birth, rounded the corner, elegant silks and embroidered skirts immediately sopping, heavily, to the muddied street. Long, shimmering blue hair soaked over her speckled brown shoulders, and she blustered in outrage, her pretty face coloring as she spun around for whoever had played this petty trick on her.

Cerith didn’t bother to follow her gaze - it was clear that there would be no vengeance, not in the business of the streets.

At any other time, the temper of a young lady sparkling in the summer sun with rich jewels and expensive ornamentation, so upset that she could risk breaking a toe kicking a heavy bucket across the soaked dirt, would have been a feast for her eyes. If this had been an Oban, or even one of the rare high born Matori mistresses to Oban lords who dressed like the doted princesses their lovers treated them as, Cerith would have gleefully delighted in their plight and toasted to their being dragged down to the Earth, for a change.

But somehow, this was different. The young girl, who held herself so nobly, looked younger with her hair soaked, almost indecent in the way her silks hung over her body, colored so brightly and strangely… she invited nothing but the titters of mocking laughter from others passing her by. If an Oban, many men here would have flocked to her side to drape a cloak over her to protect her from the shameful onlookers, but no one lifted a finger.

Cerith clicked her tongue and pushed herself from her stool, dropping a handful of coins onto the counter before the merchant could fuss at her, then strode across the street, not caring as her worn sandals sank into the newly created mud, unclipping the sheer fabric of her skirts. It did little to protect the girl’s modesty, but it was better than nothing. She draped them around her shoulders, taking a moment to brush the sopping wet hair back from where it hung, heavily, in her face, clicking her tongue like a fussing denmother. “Now now- it won’t do to have a lady cursing the Gods on a festival day, now would it?” She chided, boldly encircling an arm around the other girl’s shoulders as she guided her away from the growing puddle of water. “I would count it as good fortune it was just water, and nothing that would stain. Are you alright?

I will remember this. Frustration decorated Kyril’s cheeks with crimson and her gaze glistened from unshed tears. What a wretched group of children. She wouldn’t even call them young adults with the way they plotted and hid from true conflict. The frustrations only rose as Kyril slowly began to realize exactly how the damp materials clung to her curves and left little to imagine for anyone who was glancing her way. They must have not planned this far in advance. Kyril could only imagine how much worse the little prank would have been if they had actually known she would show up to the festival. It was her fault for not paying closer attention to the faces in the crowds else she would have spotted them first, surely.

Did she just turn away and walk as quickly as possible away from the crowds? Kyril hesitated and bit the inside of her cheek thoughtfully. Her thoughts halted just as quickly as a sudden touch made the hybrid’s back tense defensively. Someone had placed something around her shoulders? Surprise made the girl’s eyes widen, “You…” She found herself at a loss for words as the stranger gently brushed away the heavy strands of her damp hair and guided her away from the messy ground. Until that moment Kyril hadn’t even realized how badly her feet had sunk slightly into the muddy mess, coating her sandals in its muck.

Her lips pressed tightly in annoyance as she tried to rub some of the fresh mud off along the sturdier ground, “Not that I’m that moved by Atun or entirely thankful to him at the moment.” Quipped Kyril lightly before she glanced up to actually look at the stranger. A Matori. Of course an Oban wouldn’t have helped her out now. If any of those noble brats were watching it would be more for them to tease her about later. Still, Kyril couldn’t help but feel thankful if not a bit peeved because of how hurt her pride was. How could she not? Here she was drenched in water from gods know where, wearing some stranger’s garb in a poor attempt to cover the revealing silks that clung to every curve of her body, “Good fortune?” Kyril raised an eyebrow, “I suppose so because gods only know what they would have thrown at me had they more time to prepare. I’m certain that if given the chance today they’ll try something else.” It was probably why they had scurried away like mischievous children. Why not mess with her while she was out and about without any of her family or their families to watch over them?

Either way thank you for this.” Kyril tugged lightly at the material covering her shoulders, “You shouldn’t have to waste your time on this. I can just figure something out and save you the trouble of this mess.” She glanced down at her dress pointedly and her nose crinkled when she realized that the mud had gotten on the strands of silk that now dragged behind her due to the extra weight of the water. Oh she would definitely get them back for this. If they had any more plans for her today then Kyril was determined to thwart them all.

It was rare that nobles, even after their fall from grace, so openly mocked the gods. Many were still pious, especially in the face of so many strangers in their lands - seeking to present a unified front of pious, devout worshipers. The festival for Atun was a means of displaying the wealth and merriment of their people, and yet here this hybrid was, expressing disdain and dismissal of Cerith's sedate warnings. The nonchalance startled a soft chuckle out of the older woman, and for a moment the two examined one another; Cerith as a woman who had spent her youth cow towing to noble ladies like this, and the girl clearly frustrated at her lot in life. If Cerith noticed her frustration at the one person who had deigned to respond to her plight, she gracefully didn't mention it.

At the very least, the girl understood her position. She wasn't so high born as to scoff and puff about the audacity of some people, and whether or not they would dare to try anything else. Clearly, she knew the risk. The reminder pushed the smile from Cerith's face, replacing it instead with a pensive purse of her lips.

Knowing a dismissal when she heard one, Cerith released her light grip on the girl and stepped back, pushing a long ring of curls over her own shoulder with a careless shrug. "No I should not - and believe you me, I am so very cross to be forced into play as the one decent person in the vicinity to come to your side." She laughed, then shrugged her shoulder, setting a hand on a curved waist. "But seeing as I am already so committed, am I to assume, my lady, that you intend to carry on at the festival? You would have to go back to your domicile to change, or buy some pretty new garments to do so - at the very least, I ask that you'd let me amuse myself and come with you, just to see how this all plays out. I believe you could use the company and a set of eyes on your back until you're more comfortable, or can find your own protection - yes?"

At least someone could get a chuckle from this situation. Kyril was about to let out another retort before the stranger’s expression shifted. Had she somehow managed to displease her with her slight sacrilege statement? She was surprised that a Matori would be so fond of the god of sun and fire considering how much favored he was with Obans in comparison to the ocean and moon goddess. I’m not even going to ask. Kyril didn’t even want to add that thought to the jumble bouncing around in her mind with the current situation.

As the warmth from the older woman’s hand left her shoulder, Kyril couldn’t help but notice the sudden chill of the desert breeze against her damp skin. Of course the wind is stronger now of all times. Her frustration grew even more as her indirect suggestion that the stranger leave her alone was dismissed. Was this pity? What other reason would the Matori have for staying with her in this mess? Did she want money? Kyril’s gaze flickered as she studied the other woman thoughtfully. No she would have already tried to rob me while we were standing out of sight of the crowd. As she weighed her options the girl’s shoulders finally sunk in resignation, “Fine. If you find this situation so amusing then I suppose I could use the company.” She reached a hand up and dislodged the main pin in her hairpiece so that her hair could fall to its full length down her mid back, “I fully intend to stick through this festival and to dump some water of my own on certain heads later. If you are alright with that I suppose we can head back to my domicile so I can change and come back before the night’s bonfire. I would rather leave this mess in my room to dry so that I can try to salvage it later.

Without another word Kyril turned on her heel and started to head further up the street and away from the festive crowds. It wouldn’ t be towards where the noble houses resided, however, but towards the artisan district. After a few moments Kyril paused and stopped so that she could look at the Matori who had offered to be her companion for the day. Lifting her chin, a final moment of trying to keep some sort of pride about herself, Kyril spoke directly to the stranger, “Also, I suppose if we’re to spend some time together today that we should know each other’s names. My name is Kyril and under other circumstances I suppose I would say a pleasure to meet you. As is I will still thank you for the aid you have offered me today.

Wonderful. It was always a relief when people saw sense, and stopped arguing with her. Cerith's smile broadened with delight, not seeming at all disheartened by the girl's honesty. She'd suspected this woman might want some manner of vengeance, based off what she'd already been saying, but the confirmation only seemed to embolden her. For now, Cerith followed a pace behind as the girl strode proudly along, as if she wasn't still sopping wet and disheveled, covered only by the brightly colored sheer material of Cerith's skirt. Honestly, the Matori was somewhat surprised and curious that a woman so obviously well provided for would be concerned with attempting to salvage her gowns in the first place, but perhaps it was a matter of pride at this point?

Where Cerith expected them to head towards a ritzier part of town, she was once again surprised at the direction the young woman took instead; what would a lady be doing there? And, come to think of it, why was she unguarded in the first place?

Was she one of those young nobles who came from old money, with a fancy name and old antique hand-me-downs, who had very little actual money to their name and yet still lived as if they did? She tilted her head to inspect the woman, eyeing her for subtle patches or hints that would support this theory, only to stall when the girl stopped and rounded on her.

Had she somehow betrayed her suspicions? Ah-- no, thank goodness. "I suppose so, my lady." She responded cheekily, resting her wrist against the handle of one of her swords, where it hung at her hip. "You can call me Cerith - and you are more than welcome. ...Do ladies such as yourself often stay among artisans? Or is that a profession of yours?" It was absolutely none of her business, but curiosity kicked away any restraint she might have had.

Kyril raised a brow at the cheeky response, "Cerith." The name rolled lightly off of her tongue as she repeated it to memory. Out of habit and surely not necessity. It was not as if she would need to recall it after today, Kyril was not one to count on making close friends so easily. She much preferred keeping to herself and focusing on her craft instead."Well, considering that I am the only one of my status that I have noticed in the artisan district that is actually working and not shopping, mind you, I would assume that it is unusual." The response was blunt and echoed through the alleyway as they emerged beneath a stone archway and into the calmer streets of the artisan district. Many of the artisans would be out and about to sell their wares in the festival instead of staying near their shops. That much was obvious as they passed barely a soul as Kyril continued leading the way.

Away from the blacksmith's shop and past several other aristan shops was a larger forge. The roundish building had large windows which ironically enough did not have glass but rather large wooden shutters that would be closed while the shop was empty. The stone walls would open towards the end to an outside furnace but even those flames were quiet today. It was this building which Kyril turned her attention towards, "It's not my apartment, but it will be a good place to leave my current attire."

Reaching for a chain hanging around her neck, Kyril pulled out a slender brass key and unlocked the door. Pushing it inwards, Kyril strolled into the large open forge and gestured for Cerith to join her. "Care not to touch anything. It's rather fragile." Unlike the blacksmiths shop, this forge was full of fragile pieces. It was an oval shaped room, darkened by the shaded windows, but Kyril lit an oil lamp allowing the flickering flames to light up the bins of colored pigments and shelves of delicate glass projects which lined the curved walls, "Just close the door behind you, alright?" Kyril asked before digging out clothing from a box.

Waiting for the sound of the door clothing, Kyril turned away from her new companion and simply stripped from her outer clothing. Without wasting time she quickly placed the wet silks out on a bare table before slipping on a pair of soft leather leggings and a light tunic. Twisting her hair back with a tie, Kyril pursed her lips thoughtfully before glancing back at her new companion, "It's easier to move in this clothing anyway." She commented with a light shrug before making certain to spread her silks out on the table to dry properly.

Well, that answered Cerith's previous question, if a little indirectly. She was both a lady and a self professed artisan. Interesting. Cerith could understand nobles dabbling in creative arts for their own amusement, had seen it plenty of times before, but it was different for one to actually make a place for themselves among the professionals. She either was very skilled, or her family had a lot of wealth to reserve her a spot here (or both). Cerith had expected, perhaps, a painters lodgings, or perhaps the corner stall of an accessory maker - instead, she was led to a forge, and despite herself Cerith's brows raised in discovery, eyeing the building with open appreciation.

"Aye aye." Cerith idly responded, keeping her hands obediently to herself although she greedily traced the shapes of things with her eyes, a hand carefully shutting the door after her as she was bid to do. She was enthralled enough in the beautiful glass shelves and trinkets that she didn't notice, at first, when Kyril began to change. Once she did, though, Cerith casually turned her back to her - giving her some privacy, but also not coloring or overreacting at the state of undress.

"Perhaps, but your rivals will think you emerging without your pretty things is a victory nonetheless." Cerith thoughtlessly replied, moving to one project which was a beautiful aquamarine, tempted to trace the shapes with her fingertips, and only restrained by her unwillingness to risk breaking it. "Do they realize you're hiding all the pretty trinkets here, in your private collection?"

Kyril's expression faltered. "Do you truly believe so?" She found herself asking, hesitation making her bite on her bottom lip thoughtfully. Would she truly be giving them a huge victory with her casual outfit? "I was hoping to be more inconspicuous this way but perhaps you're right." She murmured as she crossed back towards Cerith and studied the older Matori. Inside her workshop the artisan showed more than the haughty noble and her gaze was softer as she mulled over the situation. She had never been one for devious plotting which was why she was in this mess in the first place. Always speaking what was on her mind without thinking first and being open with her feelings instead of sneaking around behind others....Kyril let out a frustrated sigh, her hand dragging through her ponytail. What did she do?

"And they do not." Kyril replied quietly as Cerith asked about her collection. "I still work under my mentor so I refuse to let them harass me here. I have done my best to keep my work or as they would assume hobbies out of their sights." She could only imagine the destruction that information could create. It was why she refused to sell her wares in public and opted to allow her mentor to do most of the work within the city. Traveling was fine but here in the Oban capital? Kyril did not dare risk it. It was partly why she tried to ignore their teases and their gossip, but today she had enough of it.

"Clothing can be easily changed but surely there's something that I can do to haunt them for longer." She mused as her gaze roamed about the room. "I hate to admit it but I believe you are right. Clothing will be a victory for them but perhaps we just won't allow them to see me dressed like this. I'll purchase the most elaborate dress to celebrate once I've figured out a way to truly exact revenge...." Knowing that group they would probably be participating in the festival at the grandest of stalls so that they could purchase whatever rare goods would allow them to gloat over others. A small mischievous grin started to slowly spread across her lips as she turned towards Cerith, "How do you feel about disguises and playing street vendor for a while? I would think that those girls would be delighted to purchase some elegant hair accessories." Something made of glass that was coated in a dye that would only start bleeding out once the heat started to melt it away...

What a sweet girl she was. Cerith almost felt bad for her, except she had seen the flare of her spirit previously before. She regarded her with a casual flick of her eyes as the younger woman walked closer, crossing her arms and letting her hip cant to the side in a contemplative stance. Cerith wanted to think that 'getting revenge' on nobles was a harmless prank, but she had spent enough time as a barmaid and the accessory to such things (on both sides) to know how serious squabbles among nobles could get. What was a harmless prank one day could be a sharp pin in the throat the next.

Perhaps Kyril was right, and that dressing down was the best approach. Some noblewomen would see returning to the party, undeterred by the prank, as a victory in itself... but Kyril had already mentioned 'dumping water' on people before. So she shouldn't be surprised.

Still - she didn't expect it to become so complicated. Rather than seem put off though, Cerith tossed back her head and laughed, careful not to bump into the display but also more than delighted by the suggestion. "Oh please, I would be delighted." Cerith enthused, her lips pulling into a wicked smile. "Can you find such a thing so quickly?" That, and she wondered where a disguise would be found... unless Kyril was content to give some random Matori swordswoman some of her own clothes to wear.

Kyril could not help the mischievous grin that spread across her features. It seemed Cerith was thoroughly interested by her plan and the approval of another definitely brightened her spirits. She had already been fired up by the pettiness of the other girls, mostly for all of their actions prior to tonight, and now it was finally going to be her turn to have some fun. "Oh yes. I happen to know a very good glass shop who specializes in some accessories. We had several prepared that my mentor was not quite so satisfied with." As she spoke she quickly moved through the shop and after looking about the shelves produced a wooden box inlaid with elegant golden designs. "She left them behind while she took the rest to an event outside of Sulburi." Placing the box on a worktable, Kyril opened the latch and revealed a set of five glass accessories. Each were long and curved slightly with a different gemstone hanging from the end, some with butterflies and others with elegant flowers wrapping along the top.

"The dye is easy enough." She whispered a word of magic, her runes glowing faintly, and heat flared along her palms. "I just need to warm up the glass so that the dye can adhere a bit. It won't take long before it stains whatever it touches so we have to be careful." It wouldn't be a perfect job, just one that would allow the stain to look almost like glass itself before melting away. "What colors should we use? Wouldn't this bright blue or green be a bit fun?" Kyril grinned towards Cerith as she held up vials of the different liquids. A remaining batch from other glass projects was just enough to do the deed for them. "As for a disguise I'm certain we can find some vendor who can sell us clothing for tonight. Unless you would be content borrowing one of my second pairs of leathers? I have more leggings and tunics in that chest over there." One never knew when they needed a quick outfit change after all and Kyril had plenty of clothing to not worry about losing one pair to the stranger who was offering her aid.

Well, it was good to know that the scheme wasn't just some height of rich girl fancy. It was so wickedly genius, and admittedly Cerith couldn't help but feel a flare of approval at playing a prank on Oban noblewomen, something that once would have resulted in a vicious punishment for her. The flare of magic, though, did surprise her, and Cerith found herself once against adjusting her assessment of the hybrid woman infront of her.

"Oh, the green, certainly." She agreed with a smirk, eyeing the color. It was pretty enough on its own, but mixed with Oban golds and reds, the color combinations would be garish and definitely stand out. As for a disguise...

... Cerith had been poor long enough that she didn't fancy buying clothing for such a deed, even if it was the other woman's money on the line. In answer, Cerith turned and moved to where Kyril had indicated, pulling out a second pair. She pulled off the rest of her clothing and changed - it was a bit tight, in the hips, and the other woman was taller than she was, but it would do. As for her hair, she tied a few ribbons around it in thirds the length down, constraining the explosion of curls so as to stand out less, then moved the shell from its spot in her hair to, instead, cover the branded scar on her forehead that would make her easily identifiable.

"I believe with that, my lady, we have a plan." She responded cooly, turning back to Kyril with a confident smile and a hand propped at her hip.

Kyril smirked as she plucked the green vials. "The green it is then." Just the thought of how the green dye would be in the other girls' hair and potentially clothing for days made her gaze gleam with delight. Perhaps it was a bit petty but Kyril was eager to get them back for years of torment. The whole lot of them always left an unpleasant taste in her mouth, her own inability to simply sit around for those tedious judgmental meetings constantly getting her into trouble. That was why she would much rather come to the artisans distract and pass her time actually creating something rather than spitting out useless hot air or worse search for a spouse of good standing just to prove her worth in society. Just the thought made her nose wrinkle in distaste.

Her gaze flickered from the glass pieces in her hands, her attention momentarily distracted by the other woman changing clothing, and while a slight flush spread across her cheeks Kyril quickly looked back to the task at hand. Soon enough the green dye was applied to make shimmering ornaments on the hair pieces and she even added a splash of the vibrant yellows and blues with some others to truly make it stand out. The green still dominated most pieces but the swirling colors did look even more pleasing on the eyes. After the pieces were finished she wrapped them up in a cloth to keep them safe and secured them in a woven basket. "And now back to the festival. I'll keep watch in the shadows before coming back out...maybe I should pick up a new dress along the way and wear some true ornaments. It would be funny to see them displaying how much better their accessories are before everything turns to chaos..." Or better yet to just show up with a grin on her face in the finest of silks while they looked like disasters? Now that would be amusing indeed.

[I am so, so sorry it's been half a year. asdfasdf]

Cerith seemed oblivious to Kyril's thoughts, and instead waited patiently, watching with curious wonder as the accessories were adjusted for their prank. Once packaged, she accepted the basket, ready to play her role as shop keep in this ploy of theirs. "Alright. I'm trusting you not to let them have me arrested for this." Cerith teased, propping the basket against her hip.

They left the building then, walking together as long as they dared until they'd found the crowd from the festival once more. "Do you see them? I'd hate to dye someone who was innocent in all this." She asked, leaning in close to Kyril so she could hear her answer, above the crowd, golden eyes flicking through the myriad of faces around them.

[No worries!]

Kyril tilted her head thoughtfully as if pondering the request before giving Cerith a smirk in return. "I'll do my best." Honestly even though she figured that the other woman was teasing it still made her pause for a second. If anything she would doubt if the girls would even take the time to remember a merchant before marching away with their prizes. Plus, one would expect to look in the markets for the culprit and if Cerith wasn't actually a merchant could they find her easily? Kyril would hope not. If anything she supposed she would step forward then and deal with others behind the scenes.

As they walked back into the festival, Kyril kept an eye out for the other girls. "I think so." She finally whispered as she spotted the trio sharing snacks at one of the vendor stalls. Even though her stomach grumbled at the sight of the sweet rice dumplings the hybrid shook her head before gesturing towards that stall. "The crimson haired girl with indigo silks and and the other two standing next to her." Thankfully they were far enough away that the crowd would hide them for the most part so Kyril wasn't quite worried about getting caught yet. Now it was just the time to let Cerith play the part and sell the goods before they disappeared. Then they could reappear with different attire and enjoy the show as the festivities progressed alongside the leaking dyes.
