A glorious day! There was a bright beautiful sheen that cast itself over the area and it was wonderous. The bright light brought with it a soft breeze that had a slight tang to it when breathed in deep.
Fiontan had found himself wandering about earlier in the morning, the day just seemed to draw him out.
Not having a specific destination in mind he took his time and walked about here and there just to enjoy the day. He noticed everything and anything that was in his line of sight. Sounds caught his attention as did smells. He did not fully understand why but it just did.
The well worn path that laid out before him beckoned to be followed so he complied. Stepping lightly but without haste he traveled along until he came to a small area that was lush in vegetation and a small brook that ran along side. The calmness of this area was highly appealing to him so he decided to take a cool drink and relax since he was in no hurry or had any specific destination in mind.
The breeze was cooling to him after a long walk. The water refreshed his parched throat and he begin to feel drowsy. He closed his eyes.
The next thing he knew he heard voices. They were not that far off so he opened his eyes to get his bearings and pushed to his feet. He slowly walked towards the voices and within a few moments came up over a small incline to see a group of young does speaking to each other. He did not recgonize any of them so he stayed out of sight.
They were speaking in hushed tones as not to bring attention to themselves but something in their tone made his ears perk up. Among all the words being spoken a name caught his attention, Brightheart.
Every one of his species knew whom this was. A very powerful Noulicorn whos gift is Vivify. Those whom was gifted with a vivify ability was revered and somewhat awe-inspiring. Although some thought they were terrifying but not many of his kind would reveal this to another.
The words whispered on the wind were "Brightheart has put out a call to any and all, there may be a new species of familiar among us and they will need strong caretakers" the does all were speaking at once after these words were said. Fiontan was having a difficult time deciphering the words as the all flowed together as if one word. His ears began to hurt as did his head. He shook his head in agitation and that action caused him to tumble over the incline and down towards the group of does.
Before he could stop himself he was at the bottom of the incline, laying in a very unflattering position looking up at a group of young does who seemed startled at his presence.
He was at a loss for words as he pondered his predictament. In just a few moments it took for him to look up and try to figure out what to say for his sudden appearance one of the does began to giggle. It started out very softly then it was a full on laugh. It was contagious before he knew it all the does were laughing at him! Some even bowed their head due to it being so funny they could hardly contain their reactions to him.
He felt embarassed but he struggled to his feet and said "Excuse my rather hilarious appearance young ones, I did not mean to intrude. I was taking a leisuarely nap when I was awakened but soft voices floating on the wind. My curiousity got the better of me and I investigated only to find you speaking amongest yourselves. I intened to leave you in peace until I heard you speak Brightheart's name. I was curious as to what was said and listening to your words I tumbled down in my haste to get the news, with that I ask for your pardon.

Looking around he noted that there was 5 does in this group. They all seemed to be staring at him with the same look of confusion on their faces.
He was surprised when one stepped forward and answered him. "You certainly have a way of introducing yourself to strangers! Although I must say it is not gracious of you to do it does create a certain air of mystery about yourself to others. I will give you the information you seek. Brightheart has put out a call for any and all to become guardians for the creature she brings back into our world." with that being said she looked him up and down sizing him up. She seemed to stare into his eyes for an uncomfortable amount of time before turning and nodding to the others. Suddenly, as they appeared they were gone!
