As the sun rose quietly in the cerulean sky Accalia was already strolling through Homewood seeking new greens to eat later. Being a ritual of hers she loved spending time soaking in fresh morning sun while tasting the dew lingering in a glistening display over the forest. Serenity enveloped her thoughts at that moment giving her peace the world was awakening with the help of the other noulicorns. She had heard of the brave party that traveled into the Barrens to save a lost group. Some were injured but there were no real causalities within the group.
This she was thankful for wondering what she could gather for her meal. There had to be plenty of greens, spouts, and flowers she could gather in this beautiful walk.
Moving toward the stream she drank deeply of the crystalline water that seemed just the right temperature to her. Today she considered taking a longer stroll in Homewood to see how the other nouls and plants were faring. Her face never showed happiness except for the occasional soft gesture. Today was exceptional with the calm spring breeze as it swayed past her creating a placid feeling within. She decided to follow the stream down further to see if anything would catch her eye besides the growth of the woods themselves. The stream flowed in an effervescent motivation lapping the edges of the bank. It made her feel almost like a filly again seeing the happiness of the water. Walking with a swish of her long tail she let the music of Homewood fill her with solace and serenity. It truly was a magical place to live within where no harm befell the noulicorns and those that dwelled within these scared woods. Everything was just and kind leaving the other locations locked out to regrow on their own.
Then she headed North where the blossoms grew alongside the brook plucking some to put in her basket. Some still awakening seemed to reach outward to the sun sprinkling over the lush grasses. Sighing contently she moved onward till she heard a rustle near her in the grass. Pausing she stood straight her ears swiveling to capture the sound or where it was heading. Eyes locked she saw the strange pattern of grass rustle. Though she was on alert her mind spoke an inking to what was following her through the tall grass. A simple glimpse of a blue feathered head made her relax as she was joined by Azure whom must of followed her from the clearing. Azure was a peculiar creature that she had offered to raise from Brightheart. He was certainly the curious type with a voracious appetite leading him to get into trouble. She noted a tilt of his head then he took off running through the grass again in a game of tag. Head popping up to look at her he dipped down once more.
Sighing she shook her head then followed after him in a chase.
Darting this way and then Azure kept checking that she was following. Moving oddly back and forth giving Accalia a signal he was moving to the west now so she could follow. Picking up her pace she wondered just where azure was leading her. It was a usual routine of him leading her to interesting things. Perhaps he found something of interest? Playing along she lengthened her stride then shifted as he headed back toward the South of Homewood. Now her mind was curious where he was leading her to. What had started as a peaceful day enjoying her morning was now follow the leader. In an instant he paused wings raised high bobbing his head.
"Azure, what are you trying to show me?" she spoke her sides heaving slightly from a sudden brisk run. Honestly, she was not expecting a run through Homewood this early in the morning.
Azure bobbed his head again then took off running toward the East now.
Sighing she gave the chase after Azure clearly thinking he was just wanting to play. Stopping once again, head raised he turned to look at her black orbs glistening in the sunlight.
Accalia was loosing her patience if she really had an visible of emotionally showing it, "Azure" she murmured, "Show me".
Thinking this was still a game he made an odd sound then raised his wings again.
Shaking her head she sighed once more following him. This time he hadn't budged from his spot pulling her attention to something extraordinary. Blinking she moved toward it slowly ears swiveling in curiosity. Before her grew a Blossom unknown to Homewood that smelled sweet yet bitter. Unsure if it was edible she took tabs that there were more before her decision to take one with her to possibly get analyzed. She had gather a wonderful bouquet of greens that somehow stayed within her basket she carried them in. Seeing that this sweet bitter blossom had started growing elsewhere made up her mind. Carefully, she plucked one placing it gently with her greens.
Turning to Azure she made a quick half smile, "Instead of running me all over Homewood. Just bring me here, next time".
Azure tilted his head listening as he was still too young to gain speech. His dark eyes trained on her intently that she appreciated the gift. Then he made that odd noise again and shot off in the grass to probably forage for his own food. Accalia didn't question his eating habits nor would Azure about hers. As Azure scurried into the grass she turned to head toward her clearing. What was thought to be a peaceful foraging stroll had lead her all over Homewood.
"Never a dull day here", she murmured as her hooves took her into her clearing to see if their was any information about this new blossom Azure had found.
