i never really used the DDR mat that i bought for my little sister, but yeah i got bored last night and took it out to play soul calibar with. it was so tiring but really fun. that was the most i've sweated from playing a game.xD
has anyone played with the DDR mat with a game other then DDR? just wanted to know...

lol! i've done that! i used my ddr mat to play tekken 5.... got my a** whooped but i think i lost 5 pounds. thanks namco! 4laugh

I've thought about doing this.
I have a gamecube with a MadCatz BeatPad. There are no trigger buttons or C-stick: just A, B, X, Y, Z and Start. No trigger buttons or C-stick means no sweet moves or combos, so something like Soul Calibur X would be pretty tedious (though a hearty workout).

Damn, do I wanna buy some gaming systems. DDD: I miss SC SO badly, it isn't even funny.

you'd have to be pretty darn flexable to do a soul charge xd
what gets me is how one could perform directional based moves. something simple like sophitia's angel strike. ivy's summon/calamity suffering would be damn impossible.

yeah, you all have it right, it was really fun but if you want to win a game, the ddr mat isn't the way to get there. sweatdrop

omg! just tried it with a pump it up pad. the diagonals are the R and L buttons so it you change your controller setting to combos with those you can totally kick some a**!! whee
....had entirely tooooooo much time on my hands. sweatdrop

Mmmmm Not really , usually when I play games Im not just playing for fun , so I dont chance using my mat and killing myself lol.

I never knew you could do that! Does it work for all fighting games because I want to try?
