Accalia awoke to a nornal day in homewood with the sound of the spring breeze playing through her ears. Remembering the time she fully stretched, then headed toward the gathering area of their grove. Today would encircle talk of her visiting the Great tree soon as most of her family had followed in tradition. For Accalia, it wasn't scary traveling by herself to the edge of the Barrens. She'd rather do something without others constantly badgering for tips or information on things.

"Morning" she spoke quietly as her voice never raised higher then anyone around her.

"Good morning Accalia. Sleep well?" returned a soft motherly voice of an adept magic user of Solar. Her mother being so compassionate yet, a wicked meal gather that could rival the most dedicated of nouls. As Accalia always commented to herself how wonderful her mother put pride in her presentations for the family since father had passed away. Her sisters were equal in size to Accalia but their personalities altered greatly. As each started entering the gathering area, Accalia took note on what moods they were in. For starters it was Ashina who entered first who entered as if she owned the place. Predominantly her coat was black with some touches of white over her face and legs. She wasn't one for small talk grabbing her food then heading back to her area where she didn't like to be disturbed.

Then Ashina paused mid walk, "Thanks for the food, mother". Before she vanished again into her own area forbidden by the others.

All due honestly Accalia was indifferent to her sister leaving the older doe to her own thoughts.

The other sibling was more of an unraveled ball of yarn in a sense. She literally was all over the place spazzing out about everything and anything. Accalia didn't shun her per say but, she kept a wide distance from her sibling.

Like a ball of unfurled energy Asha tore into the gathering area prancing as if she was a foal. Her whimsical nature made Accalia tense then relax knowing that this routine happened daily. Accalia wasn't one for conversation but, she loved learning along with her treasured books.

Asha pranced up to her sister all wide-eyed, "Morning Accalia. Got anything planned for today?" Her coat glistened in the deepest bay accented by the deep onset black.

Then she nuzzled mother and began eating ever so noisy. Accalia sighed in spite of being the more adult figure right now, Just studying my books as always".

"That's nice. Books are okay. I like exploring!" returned her sister's joyous tones. Like Ashina , Asha grabbed her food and tore out of the room indefinitely back to her own area leaving Accalia at peace with the warmth of her mother. Unlike the others she sat upon her haunches enjoying the greens and berries prepared for her.

"So..." her mother spoke, "What are you planing for today, Accalia"?

Accalia finished her greens before replying, "I thought I'd take a walk around Homewood, read some more...".

She wasn't one to talk but her mother was polite as she should be.

"Alright" Mother noted with a swish of her mane, "Be safe"

Acalia nodded, "I will Mother. No worries Homewood is our sanctuary. Its rare that anything ever happens around here".

Taking her leave, Accalia headed back to her own area gathering her books. It was slightly possible she settled on the fact she might step out of Homewood if something prompted her. On the downside Homewood kept the foreboding things out so she might just have to find a somber place to curl up with a good book.

As Homewood began awaking to the morning a shadowy figure stood at the entrance. His eyes golden orbs resting on shadows surveyed the area. Head held high he watched the morning progress as nouls began their usual routines frolicking, grazing, and other normalities. To the shadowy figure whom now stepped in Homewood this was not the activity he was seeking. In fact the usual routine of life wasn't his forte rather he sought out things in clairvoyance and prosperity. Swishing his tail with a strong step he decided to survey the area. Homewood carried potential which he made it his business to uncover sooner then later.

Inhaling the spring air he flicked a velvety ear, "Padfoot. Anything yet?"

Momentarily it was quiet till some rustling in the bushes brought out a camouflaged Jack Hop, "No sir. I've been looking but to no avail. You absolutely sure you'll find someone here?"

"It is Homewood is it not? I know someone is here worthy of that title" the Buck responded with a slight elevated tone. He wasn't trying to be hard on his familiar but, sometimes things just revealed themselves that way.

"Yes, Connal sir. I do not mean to act in question of your motives. I will keep looking".

Immediately the jack hop scurried into the brush seeking out his Captain's query keeping in mind not to step out of place again.

Connal nodded, "Very good. carry on".

His yellow set eyes glowed like floating suns as they contrasted his deep coat. Possibly they could of been narrowed earlier but, relaxed as he made his way through Homewood. Taking in each noul he passed brought him nothing positive. Most were in their own little worlds but some stopped and stared. He was in regards a tall lengthy Noul built in muscle and poise. Completely born of solid black he glistened like well polished obsidian. Upon his right shoulder he carried silver armor while his attached crest tabard blew freely in the breeze. Over all he was impressive to any passerby but no one approached him in respect. This was a usual occurrence visiting other areas because most nouls were born of many different different coloration then straight black.

Taking it upon himself to endure waiting on Padfoot his head swept downward for a casual drink. Letting the coolness of the brook chill his throat his willfully closed his eyes enjoying the moment remembering those days when he was but a youngling enjoying his first drink. He never was one to really interact with others unless he had to. More of a solitary traveler he preferred the secrets of the unknown rather then the hustle and bustle of civilizations. Pondering the first step he'd take choosing an apprentice would be taking them to one of the main locatons. Bog, ruins, and Barrens were his top three in no particular order. This apprentice had to set the bill for all situations and instances. So be a doe or buck they would fit the criteria or he would move onward till the position was fulfilled.

Asking a jackhop to find the right potential made him question his authority. What creature would even know what he was seeking in the first place? Snorting with a vigorous shake of his head he grunted. What was taking that creature so long as the sun would sit sooner then one blinked in the future.

"Padfoot!" he stamped a hoof, "Have you found my apprentice yet?" Voice deepened his eyes narrowed quickly till he heard the rustle once more."Finally, we've been here a better part of the day. Prove your worth and tell me you've found my apprentice". His patience was gradually wearing thin to the point it would fray at any moment.

Tapping a foot eagerly Padfoot sat upward addressing his Captain, 'Yes sir. I have. I'll take you to her".

"Finally" Connal spoke loosing its sharpened edge, "Lead the way".

Padfoot wasn't the most suited for the job but, Connal placed the responsibility clearly upon him. Taking a small stride after his familiar he was expectant to learn what capabilities this noul would posses without magic. That was the key ingredient of finding someone to follow his footsteps. Once this doe proved herself she could then visit the Grand Father tree and expand her knowledge.

The day had been amazingly uneventful leaving her to her thoughts and studies. While other nouls stayed the path of simply "being" Accalia chose to be the scholar and someday teacher. Paging through her scripts her focused attention settled upon botany and foliage. There was bound to be other forms of life resurrecting in Homewood going forward so she wanted clarity if something odd might manifest without knowledge. As she became engrossed in her studies her senses honed in on rusting in the higher reeds. It seemed that something had been keeping a vigil over her actions, studying her even. From recent studying she deemed this creature either a Scuttle Scale or Jack hop being the answer. Casually she resumed reading the scripts to herself quietly as the brook babbled for a soundtrack. Everything was in perfect harmony as she preferred leaving her cautious thoughts to linger elsewhere. Slowly, she brought her head up not making uttering a single sound. Moving her right eye she noted the other set of eyes before the creature ducked under the brush. Accalia knew the creature, jack hop to be precise, was evaluating her most of the afternoon. As it scurried away quickly she resumed her studies the brook continued to babble beside her.

Suddenly, her creature returned but,it wasn't alone towering over the doe seated on her haunches. Normally, such things would of spooked Asha till she either ran in fear or called out in alarm. Accalia simply remained vigil in her studies turning yet another page.

"This is the one?" the deep voice filled with authority that vibrated the ground around him.

"Yes sir" returned Padfoot's confident tone, "She is definitely, the one".

"I see" his deep voice echoed, "Well, then let's see if you are correct, Padfoot".

Padfoot bowed to his Captain, "Yes, sir. I know you won't be displeased".

Accalia still resuming her studies only stopped when the shadowy Buck brought himself before her. Only then did her soft eyes gaze upward into darkness with two yellow becoming orbs becoming to her.

Connal stood rigid evaluating this doe from her features to her research books. She was of age for her trip to the tree yet she carried no magical capabilities. This would be required later in her future studies on the curriculum.

Accalia refused to show fear for she was not intimidated by his presence. Noting his tabard crest, she knew first hand this was a knight. Knights were a rarity only seeking out those worthy of apprenticeship or tasks. She was certain this Buck sought her out for one or the other.

"What is your name doe?" the buck asked quickly without hesitation.

Accalia simply inhaled a breath, "Accalia, Sir".

In all her books she learned many things though, her mother taught her girls respect. Possibly their deceased father could of been a a Knight once but, Mother never clarified it.

"Your studies?" he requested once more sharp and rigid.

"Botany, Sir. Plants and other creatures are my major", she responded with no fleck of being uncomfortable in his shadow.

"I see" he spoke flicking an ear, "Padfoot you've done exceptionally well".

Padfoot pulled himself from the reeds placing himself by the tall buck, "I promised you I'd find her, Sir".

"Indeed" he responded focusing back to Accalia, "You are exceptional, Accalia. I've come to ask you ...If you'd become my Apprentice for the Wolven Tale".

Accalia knew this moment would have arisen the moment she spotted his crest. To decline such a request would leave her dis-respectable to not only this Knight or anyone that learned of her being disobedient. Instead she pulled her slender form to stand directly before him, "I accept... but" she responded lingering in her reply. Then she paused, "I do have to request, you ask Mother your intentions before I fully can truly accept, Sir".

Connel stood tall, a shadow lingering over the young doe, "Gather your books and supplies leading me to your family then".

Bowing her head she nodded proceeding to gather everything to return home, "This way, Sir" she announced before headed back to her family's clearing. It wold certainly be interesting letting him meet her family. He would be at his best even if her youngest sister bombarded hi with a ton of questions.
