Homewood was always so lively in the spring which was was fine for some, not all. One in particular was an apprentice noulicorn of an knight named Connal. Her parents accepted him as her teacher thus letting her traverse into the unknown learning many things. Accalia wasn't the sort to hob nob, in fact she was more distant then others she avoided. Which was positively strange seeing that she was now an apprentice to a Buck of seriousness. Perhaps the inkling emerged on the fact she was quiet with a love of her surroundings that he took interest on. Whatever the case it would be Accalia's right of passage to visit the Grandfather tree in the near future when she was deemed ready. Perhaps she herself could somehow convince Connal to visit
Her mind switched track leaving that pondering receded so she could focus on something otherwise.
It seemed Brightheart had found an oddity, something of the past which piqued her interest to investigate. Being a closed bookworm led Accalia to learn more of this creature. She wasn't so keen on what would emerge from the bones, rather the discovery. So, taking this challenge with the day in her hooves she sought out Brightheart to seek guidance in caring for this special creature. Her books hanging from her mouth she finally found the vivify Life Giver bowing her head. Lowering her cargo to the ground she focused on Brightheart.
Speaking softly she addressed the elder Doe, "I volunteer to watch over this creature, seeking more about its origins".
Brightheart stood taller then most of the other nouls. Wings outstretched she seemed more ethereal then others, "Indeed" she spoke, "This creature will need your expertise". Placing it within a basket it left out once of the strangest sounds Accalia had ever heard. Brightheart merely smiled placing the creature in a basket with a book. Nodding she waited for Accalia to take the creature then turned to other things she was focusing on.
Accalia was ecstatic within showing always a somber reserved mood on the outside.
When she arrived back to Homewood her day would become more then she bargained for. Once she placed the basket down on the ground a rusting started following by that shriek again. Then the gifted book went flying in one direction whilst the basket tipped. Out scurried the creature which disappeared in a flash. Sounds of scratching echoed throughout her niche then some pots fell upon the ground shattering. Accalia could simply just watch the chaos as it tore up her home.
Her eyes blinked in frustration-knowing full well her precious cargo had decided to take a run around her home. Hearing a strange breathing noise she turned quickly hearing movement in the downed log, "Its alright. Come out" she spoke softly looking into the darkness where it was hiding.
Perplexed she checked her own books noting nothing even resembling this creature. What exactly had Brightheart resurrected? Shaking her head again she picked up the book she was given, paging through till she found what the creature could possibly be. Peering back in the log it seemed the small form was quiet with no movement.
Perplexing indeed she noted, "Are you still in there?"
Glimmers of light flickered in those orbs putting her at ease. It was definitely frightened, this Accalia believed was the truth. With the creature calm she could look more into its origin and find something for it to eat. Thinking to herself she pondered just what Connal would think of this.... creation. He wasn't one for shenanigans like this creature was capable of. Certainly if it was hellbent on destroying the living space as it just had previously.
Taking the book she read some interesting facts leaving her pondering what it would eat. Peeking back in the rotting log she saw that familiar glimmer of eyes open to watch her. Trust. That was the one thing in apprenticeship along with this conundrum at hand.
Nodding, she set off to find a solution choosing berries, greens, and other things she preferred herself. If this creature could eat similar foods she'd have no problem taking care of it. The question was what would sate its hunger being smaller then her she wondered. Taking the cue she settled herself on her haunches, book opened at her hooves. Trying not to watch the log she pretended to be engrossed in her book.
It seemed ages before Accalia noted she was not alone sitting there. The creature had crept out silently not making a sound bringing itself to be sitting beside her sniffing its whereabouts though curious to what she was doing. Deep within she couldn't help but laugh letting her outer self be calm.
"Trust was all it took for the both of us", she agreed remaining entirely still.
