Ah Homewood, it was the place where every Noulicorn started out, well.... That is the lucky ones anyways. For one Noulicorn stood close to the center of Homewood. His stark white, well very light smoky gray coat made him stand out among the greens. Dark blue eyes glanced around the area before he headed off towards the fringes of the forest. His black mane and tail looking like shadows as he went. The movements he took and glances he gave, it almost looked like he was hunting for someone. Or something. Stopping a moment as his ears flicked to the sides, the soft snapping of branches caught his attention. Frowning slightly he stood and waited, waiting to see what was approaching.
"Someone there?" he asked loudly as he turned and watched the direction of whatever approached.
"Calm down, it's only me." said a tart voice as a gray Jack hop appeared from the bushes and gave her fur a shake off of any leaves that had clung to it. "What has made you so jumpy anyways?" She asked rubbing her face before looking up at the larger buck.
"Just thought it was someone else." He replied looking around again, all was quiet besides the two of them. "Still no sign of her. huh?"
The Jack Hop shook her head as she hopped over closer to the Buck whom seemed disheartened. Another useless search, another day they hadn't found the one that was lost. Sighing to himself, the buck turned back in the direction he had been heading. She had to be out there somewhere, they hadn't gotten that separated had they? Surely not, but it was looking like she had gotten more lost then he had first thought.
"Come on Bluebell, we'll find another spot to search for her." the buck said as he started walking, nearly leaving Bluebell behind has she stared at him.
"Oi! Wait up!" she shouted hopping quick to follow him.
She had to wonder just what her strange friend had been looking for. She only knew it was a doe of a dark color. Her hide like a shadow against his own lighter coat. This was very little to go on as there were many like that. Frowning to herself, Bluebell to stop and rub her face again. With an inward groan the Jack Hop sped up to catch up again.
"So WHO are we searching for? I am going to need more then just that she has a dark coat." Bluebell panted as she finally got back to his side. "Doesn't this Doe or whatever we are looking for have any markings or such? You need to speak up there, Draven if you want me to keep looking."
The buck sighed slightly as he once again stopped and looked down at Bluebell. Those dark blue eyes turned towards the skies over head as the sun stretched through the branches to touch certain spots on the ground. It was just a matter of remembering certain details that would be more useful.
"If I had these details I would tell you, but as it stands I do not." he says downtrodden. "But if I were to see her, I would know she was the one I was looking for.
Bluebell gave another groan as she again rubbed her face in frustration. This buck was going to be the death of her yet. If not running her ragged around the Homewood, but just the frustration of not knowing WHO SHE WAS LOOKING FOR!
"They why am I the one searching the wide reaches if you don't even know!" Her frustrations reaching its peak for the day. "Can we just say we tried for today and go home?"
Draven looked down at Bluebell before giving a sigh of his own. Perhaps it had been enough for that day, but it feels like they had only just started. Looking up again, he could see that the sun was just passing its peek. The day was barely half done, but it seemed that Bluebell wasn't in the best of spirits anymore.
"Alright, lets take a break and I can keep going." Draven said as Bluebell merely rolled her eyes and just stared up at him.
"Fine, but I am not helping anymore today. But you boy are on your own." she poked at Draven in the leg with a paw to emphasize her point.
Draven only nodded as he could accept that. He had dragged her from her den at an early hour. He was just on a thing to find this doe that he had been ever hunting for. Lowering his head he nosed at the jack hop before moving on, Bluebell hopping behind him. Seems that this day was going to stop there, before they both gained headaches. There was always other days to hunt for her. She couldn't stay lost forever.
