Ok, as UFC 59 approaches, let's get out predictions in. First let's start off with the HW title defense.
Andrei Arlovski (HW champ) vs Tim Sylvia (challenger)
Ok in their first match, Arvloski just dominated Sylvia. With a punch, then ending it with an achilles lock, it was an easy win. I think that in their rematch that Arlovski will once again defend his title successfully.
Winner: Arlovski, Round 2, By submission
Tito Ortiz vs Forrest Griffin
Forrest Griffin showed the world that he had the MMA skills to compete in the UFC with the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. But I think putting him in the octagon with Tito Ortiz is like sending him to jump off a cliff. Even though he's beaten people, he's never fought anyone like "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" before. Tito will demolish Griff.
Winner: Ortiz, Round 1, By knockout
David Terrell vs Scott Smith
This to me is a toss up. Personally I hope Terrell takes the win, but it might be hard for him to stop Smith.
Winner: ?
Drew Fickett vs Thiago Alves
I believe that Alves might be too much for Fickett. With a purple belt in BJJ and an excellent Muay Thai striker, I could see him winning by a knockout.... however, Fickett has really good submissions as well, so this could go either way.
Winner: ?
Nick Diaz vs Sean Sherk
Easy... Diaz is a punk who's only good for being a punching bag. Sherk is an excellent Wrestler with a good ground n pound. Diaz will get pumelled.
Winner: Sherk, Round 1, Ground n pound
Jeff Monson vs Marcio Cruz
Cruz beat Mir at UFC 57, and now some people think he's the next big thing.... wrong. He only beat Mir, cause Mir himself said he wsen't sure if he was ready to return to the octagon. Monson is a beast.... a great Wrestler with great submission skills. He beat Brandon Lee Hinkle at UFC 57... and now he will beat Cruz easy.
Winner: Monson, Round 2, By submission

Ok, as UFC 59 approaches, let's get out predictions in. First let's start off with the HW title defense.
Andrei Arlovski (HW champ) vs Tim Sylvia (challenger)
Arlovski will most likely get a successful title defense, and win by submission but only if he can once again get Tim to the ground and actually get into a submission hold. If not then Sylvia could win by knockout or possible at the end of 5 rounds with dominanting striking.
Winner: Toss up.
Tito Ortiz vs Forrest Griffin
Forrest punches himself in the face, now he probably lacks power in striking compared to Tito, and Tito's definatly a stronger punch then Bonar, but we saw Griffin and Bonar go through 3 rounds for the contract with neither getting submitted or going to the ground. I think Tito's going to need to work at this one considering the height difference and the fact that we don't truly know how much training he's had for this fight compared to Forrest considering he was a coach on the Ultimate Fighter 3.(I saw was because it's obvious all taped by now to give the fighters a chance to prepare for the finals.)
Winner: Either way.
David Terrell vs Scott Smith
Don't know either fighter, can't watch the fight anyways, don't care.
Winner: Pssh.
Drew Fickett vs Thiago Alves
I've seen a few of Drew Ficketts fights, non of Alves, but from what I've researched it seems to be a pretty even fight when you try to calculate styles. But I don't know much about either so I can't tell you.
Winner: .?.
Nick Diaz vs Sean Sherk
Diaz is extremely flexible, a good striking, and when in close with his opponent on top while on the ground he's comfortable because of his BJJ training. He showed that Ground and Pound doesn't hurt him in his fight with Deigo, but if he can't get a submission victory or remain standing then he's going to lose in the judges eyes.
Winner: Flip a coin.
Jeff Monson vs Marcio Cruz
Don't know either, don't care. Kiss my a**.
Winner: Go touch yourself.

Saying Monson will sub Cruz is like saying Royce will knock out Fujita. s**t ain't gonna happen. Oh good lord, You have Ortiz by knockout? Jesus, watch more MMA. Ortiz has knocked out like ... nobody. and don't bring up Tanner, that was a headbutt.

He got lucky over Mir and has a record of 2-0-0. Monson will destroy him. Yes! Ortiz will knockout Griffin by strikes... by brutal ground n pound. You are obviosuly an Ortiz hater, but too bad he's gonna beat Griffin if you like it or not.

Because Monson, a SUMBISSION FIGHTER, has lost to Cruz in a grappling match already. And Pe De Pano got lucky against mir? WTF fight were you watching?
And Ortiz is gonna knock Griffin out? with GNP? yeah bullshit. Ortiz doesn't have s**t power in his strikes, he won't knock anyone out with his little 2 inch elbows EVER.

Omfg..... that was a grappling match!!!! Duh!!!
You can be a top grappler in the world and get your a** kicked in MMA. Look at Cesar Gracie. Top ranked grappler... and at Strikeforce when he fought Frank Shamrock, he got his a** knocked out. So what you said is flawed.
And yes he did get lucky, were you even watching it? God, you're probably just a poser who says he likes the UFC... it's sickening.
Cruz got a lucky cut. Plus Mir was rusty. He hadn't fought for a good amount of time. Cruz was lucky, simple as that.
Ortiz does have the power. Even though he lost, he went far against Liddell and Couture, Griffin couldn't last one round with either of them. Ortiz will win.

Cesar Gracie was considered a top grappler when? In the 70s? No. That was Rolls era. In the 80s? no. that was Rickson's Era. in the 90's? no that was Royler's and leozinho's era. You sir need to shut the *edit* up and learn wtf you're talking about. Cruz got lucky because he POUNDED Mir for how *edit* long? Mir has NO gas, has NEVER had any gas and will NEVER have a good gas tank. He *edit* either catches you with a sub in 4-5 minutes or he gasses out and loses. Oh btw. I do believe the event proved that Your *edit* "Ortiz can knock people out" opinion is HIGHLY flawed. Along with the fact that NOONE *edit* likes him, except for judges who realize that people want to see him lose. and that they can set up more fights with him. BTW. Tell me something, you say that i just started watching ufc? WTF do you base that on? The fact that you're a *edit* idiot who has no idea of the general MMA scene and probably just goes to sherdog like a *edit*? *edit*Editted by DarklingGlory I can fully appreciate a good difference of opinion, and I activily enjoy a good verbal owning but try to keep the language a bit toned down yeah? This is a PG13 site and there are plenty of youngsters active in this guild. Plus if its reported its me and marty that cop it and you dont want that.
