As we get to title defenses, Edge will put the Television Championship on the line against former friend turned hitter enemy in the Monster, Abyss, who still has not given any answers for assaulting Edge, his wife Beth Phoenix, and even Samoa Joe. Mick Foley was in the process of suspending Abyss when Edge pleaded with him to book this match. Mick agreed, and thus making this match a LADDER match for the Television Title, and we will see if Edge can stop this rampage that Abyss is on.

  The lights dim dark red and the sound of carnival music switching to heavy metal plays in the arena, and the crowd begins to boo mostly for the monster about to make his entrance. Abyss walks out, with his signature hood with a brownish vest over top of it. He stops at the top of the ramp, spreading his arms. A pyro goes off, scaring the crowd. Abyss starts walking down the ramp, with an intense and intimidating look on his face, being introduced.
Announcer: "The following contest is a LADDER MATCH! Introducing first... standing 6'8... weighing in at 350 pounds, THE MONSTER, ABYSSSSSS!" Abyss then pushes a cameraman's camera out of his way, and then walks past some of the ladders and weapons sitting outside the ring and walks up the steps and enters the ring. He walks to the opposite side of the ring and does his signature spread of the arms taunt, and starts pacing around the ring, keeping his hoodie and vest on for the moment. The lights go back to normal, his theme slowly fades, and the MONSTER stands in the ring, looking around at the fans, whipping his hair back. He proceeds to take his vest and hoodie off, throwing them to the outside. Abyss looks straight up at the Television Championship hanging above the ring, ready for the champion, his former friend, Edge, to make his way out.

Alter Bridge's 'Metalingus' would kick in, with smoke rising from the mouth of the ramp, Edge would rush through in a rather impatient manner, not coming out as usual. Looking incredibly displeased, Edge would power walk down to the ring as fast as he could. Once he was in distance, Edge would sprint towards the ring and slides in, heading straight to Abyss, going for some punches to The Monster!

The bell rings instantly once Edge attacked Abyss, as this LADDER match was underway. Abyss was punched repeatedly, taking each punch until he was backed into a corner trying to shield himself from the madman that is Edge!

Edge, extremely pissed off by the fact that Abyss attacked him and most importantly his WIFE on WAR, would throw a barrage of punches to the monster, trying to hurt him!

Abyss was trying to shield himself, and finally the monster falls to a seated position in the corner!

Abyss was stomped on repeatedly by Edge while he was in a sitting position in the corner.

Edge would step back for a bit, running towards the Monster and going for a HUGE big boot to Abyss' head!

Abyss was kicked and he rolls out of the ring under the ropes and to the floor. He for the moment was in his knees.

Not wanting to stop the onslaught, Edge would follow Abyss to the outside. Instead of immediately attacking him, Edge decided it would be a great moment to hunt him down with a weapon in hand. The Rated-R Superstar would look for a steel chair underneath the ring, finding one and pulling it out. He would grab the chair and then attempted to strike his opponent with it!

Abyss was just starting to get up and he was crushed with the chair shot!

CRACK! A thunderous shot to the Monster would take him down. Edge would seek to follow that shot up with another one!

Abyss would roll over onto his back on the floor now after another chair shot connected.

"COME ON, YOU FAT SON OF A b***h!" Edge would yell at The Monster as he would continue his onslaught on the man who attacked his wife. Furious, Edge would attempt to crouch down and go for some hard punches to Abyss' dome!
