Life Events
Presentation of Offspring New parents present their foal(s) to the Sempiterna. She places the Dreamer's Glass on the foal(s) forehead and blesses them. The Dreamer's Glass and Sempiterna then become familiar with that foal. It is also important to do this Rite with new members who are not born into the herd as well.
Graduation When adolescents become adults they have a celebration festival. They all line up to receive their blessing by the Leaders and proclaim their place within the herd. Parents and other relatives are the typical attendees but other members of the herd may show up as well. A feast is served, the songbirds will sing and the graduates can interact with their comrades in whatever field they choose to work in.
Lifemating Ritual The dedication of two stars to each other is a very special occasion indeed. As the herd places a importance on family, it is a serious and formal affair. The royal family attends. The couple is lifemated together by the High Priest and Priestess. A feast follows with entertainment. It is also expected that the newly lifemated couple leave early to spend their first night together while the herd continues to celebrate through the night.
Coronation of a Sempiterna Leaders are not forever, when one falls another rises in their place. Those that rise are usually the predetermined heir, hand selected by the previously leader. This heir is female and of the birth line of the previous Sempiterna. So when the current Sempiterna passes on, the heir is then prepared and a ceremony for the whole herd is announced. During the ceremony, the heir proclaims their intentions and promises to care for the collective whole as if they are extensions of the heir herself. The High Priestess will then "crown" the heir Sempiterna. However, there isn't a crown in all this, this is when the High Priestess hands over the dreamer's glass to the new leader.
Once the ceremony is complete, there is feasting and partying through the night.
Royal Lifemate & Presentation of Royal OffspringIt's time for a Royal Affair! These are herd wide events and all are invited. These events are the same as their counterparts above, just with a royal spin.
Celebration of LifeWe are not forever. So when one of us falls, we celebrate the life that has left us and send them back to the elements in a ceremony.
