Whoever is powered up, meet me in the common room if you feel so inclined. Mirrorspace is spitting out matter-creating crystals now and we've got some common areas to spiff up!

All over the cities, compacts buzzed with energy as the senshi of velociraptors sent out her all call. Whether you recognized the wild red curls and smiling green eyes, you still got the message. Eternal Sailor Acubens is calling all available Dark Mirror Senshi to the common room of mirror space for another one of her "family outings," this time in pursuit of crystals to shape the central island in Mirrorscape. Anyone who knows anything about Acubens is hardly surprised by this quest, with the ginger Senshi forever dedicated to making the court a homier, friendlier, more accessible place to land.

Upon entering Mirrorspace, you'll meet her in the common room, greeting in her usual manner with a smile and a hug. She'll be waiting for an hour (24 RL hours) before she sets out with whomever answered her call. However, if you show up late and want to try and find them, you're always welcome!

A group outing into the depths of Mirrorspace... what can go wrong?!
PostPosted: Mon Jan 20, 2020 7:52 pm

Acubens shut her compact with a snap that echoed in to empty white room. Truth be told, she was rather nervous about this whole outing. What if no one showed up? What if everyone showed up? She knew who she could reasonably count on showing up. Kiuchi, of course. Crocus possibly, though she wouldn't be surprised if he was preoccupied with wedding planning. Logos, Chione, Remarque, Leto, Mithra, Kibirev. If she could just get half a dozen bodies to go looking for her, that'd be six crystals plus her's making seven. And even if they weren't all the same crystal, that was still seven additions to a stark common area.

It was better than nothing.

But then there was still the issue of no one but her showing up. What would she do if she were the only one going about this? Well, obviously, she'd find a crystal and then use it in the common area as best she could and try again next week. What else could she do?

But it would be awfully demoralizing...

No. Acubens couldn't think like that. She had to believe that others loved this court as much as she did and wanted to make it more like home. She had to beleive that. So she set her jaw, faced the entrance mirror, and put on her best smile as she waited for the next person to show up.

Acubens was right in thinking he'd turn up - he would. The call was unexpected, things like this didn't often happen in the court, a call for everyone to gather. It was unusual and to be coming from Acubens had him worried that something may have happened, or may be in the process of happening, you never knew with mirrorspace and it's personality. It could get temperamental at times and try and kill it's own senshi, or at least leave them mentally and emotionally scared. That all in mind it was really no wonder that the senshi of gorgon's found the nearest mirror to head through in order to get to mirror space.

When he did arrive in front of the waiting Acubens his approach was swift, uncaring if anyone else was around, as he pulled her into an embrace. "Everything is alright?" Wanting to know the most important thing first - was everyone safe. He may not have been around as long as others but the winged senshi knew mirrorspace by now, he still didn't trust it but he considered it home.

"Why are we all here?"

Logos was next to arrive, stepping through the mirror with practiced ease. She cast her eyes about the common room, searching for threats as was her way. Seeing none which were obvious, she stepped further into the common room, standing at attention next to the other Senshi whom she distantly knew as Kiuchi. She inclined her head at Acubens and waited silently to be addressed.

"I'm glad you both came," Acubens finally offered, her hands wringing before her. While she wasn't as familiar with the Raptor Senshi as Kiuchi seemed to be, and as she knew others were, it was easy to tell that she was worried. Hallmark signs of anxiety wrote themsleves out like a letter all over Acubens. Fidgetting hands, a furrowed brow, lips in a tight, thin line.

"Miss Acubens," Logos finally ventured, "if I may be candid?" When Acubens nodded with too much enthusiasm, Logos pressed on. "You are anxious. And I tend to share Kiuchi's worries about something being wrong. However," she turned to Kiuchi matter-of-factly and continued, "I believe that if something were wrong, then Miss Acubens would have said so in her message. However, that still leaves the question of her anxiety..."

Logos fell silent again, turning back to the older female, examining her. Acubens wiggled under her scrutiny uncomfortably, but Logos pressed on with her examination.

"Are you worried no one will answer your call, miss?"

Acubens' widened gaze confirmed the question.

"Regardless of anything else, ma'am, if no one else shows up you still have two highly capable soldiers at your side. I don't see a need for worry."

When Mithra had gotten the call on her compact, Tom was out of the apartment and she had been grinding Digimon on the newest game they had bought on their shared switch. She hadn't noticed it at first, but then realized what the sound was and had checked, glad that she could at least remember what the sound was for. It had been so long since she had powered up. The last time she was sure it was meeting with Kiuchi. Other than that though... nothing. And she was happy that she would get to meet with at least one other, hopefully more, with this message that had been sent out.

She quickly texted her boyfriend about where she was, powered up, and headed straight through the mirror.

Entering Mirrorspace, she remembered just how much she still didn't feel like she belonged here. She had already complained to Kiuchi about it, but the fact that they couldn't stay in here as long as they wanted, it was though it were rejecting them. Something that she couldn't understand, but hoped that they would eventually be able to overcome.

When she entered the room she heard a Senshi, whom she was pretty sure she hadn't met before, but she could have forgotten, talking about how highly capable they and Kiuchi were to Acubens.

She snorted and had a smirk on her face as she walked towards them. "Ouch, it hurts that so little would be thought of me." She said in a sarcastic/joking tone. She was a bit hurt, but managed to hide it. She knew that the other didn't know her, and she didn't know them, so she couldn't take it personally. When she managed to get to them though she smiled. "Sorry for making you worry Acubens. I'm glad that we could meet up again."

She looked at the one who had talked and held out her hand. "I'm Mithra, Senshi of Mantis Shrimp. So basically I punch things." She said introducing herself and laughing a little. "I'm glad I'm finally meeting another new DMC. Sometimes we feel a bit too scattered."

Logos shifted on one foot as a new senshi entered and addressed the group. Where most might be offended at the sarcasm, Logos only nodded and responded, "it was not a matter of thinking little of you. Merely an attempt to bolster spirits." She paused then, considering the other senshi for a moment before continuing, "I am sorry, ma'am, if I caused offense. That was not my intention."

Still, she took the offered hand and responded, "Sailor Logos, senshi of the Helix. I suppose I basically... make things dizzy." Not a very useful attack, she was wont to admit, but that only meant that she needed to supplement with physical attacks. Logos wasn't one to be totally reliant on something like magic anyway.

"It's a pleasure, ma'am, to see another eternal among our ranks. Hopefully, after this, we will be able to spend more time with one another. I hope the same for you, Kiuchi." As she finished she nodded at the male senshi.

Kiuchi arrived and Acubens let out an audible sigh. Someone had shown up. Forget six people. If Acubens only had one person at her side, it was better than nothing. She rushed to Kiuchi as he entered and crushed him to her in a bear hug, pressing a kiss into his cheek as she released him.

Logos entered as she finished, and in lieu of a hug which she knew would make the young senshi uncomfortable, she simply inclined her head with a smile.

"I'm glad you both came," she finally offered nervously.

And then Logos asked to speak freely. Ever the cadet, Acubens reflected affectionately. She, of course, granted her candor. With that, however, came the scalple-sharp gaze picking her apart. Not that Acubesn took pains to hide her emotions...

Are you worried no one will answer your call, miss?

Logos was sharp, that was for sure.

"Oh, yes," she answered with a voice that was too cheerful, ignoring Logos' very astute observation. "Everything is fine! I just wanted to... you know... bring people together to try and make the place a little homier. We can use the crystals to build the common island in Mirrorscape, so I wanted to do that as a Court. A family."

Mithra's appearance comforted her anxieties as well.

"Oh, Mithra, you know it wasn't personal," Acubens cooed as she crushed the newly-arrived senshi in close. "You're right, we're just so scattered. I don't know who else even cares anymore. If it's any consolation, I was counting on you to show up as well." She tossed a wink at Mithra as she finished speaking.

Whilst Sadalsuud was most definitely not amongst the most active in the Court, she did do her best to come when called - at least on the occasions when she was aware of being called.

As it happened, she had actually been powered up for once when the message had come pinging through on her compact, the curly-haired senshi a familiar figure and one of the few amongst the Court that Sadalsuud actually knew. Miss Acubens.

For the moment Sadalsuud remembered the last time that she had answered a call from the curly-haired eternal, remembered the Order eternal that Miss Acubens had somehow known...

And she remembered the knight, the scary, scary knight that for some reason seemed to hate the Court–

Although depressingly, that didn't really seem to be uncommon - at least not from her experiences with Order, after all Sadalsuud could count positive (as in 'non-fighty') encounters on one hand - and still have fingers to spare.

She shook her head at the thought, not really wanting to think about the Order, not tonight as she rose from where she had been quietly looking out over the city and made her way towards the nearest mirror.

There were others already therw by the time that she walked into the common room, although Sadalsuud only recognised Kiuchi and Acubens from those gathered.

She gave a friendly smile however as she stood off a little to the side.

If Fulu wasn't being honest, he probably didn't take the whole DMC thing very seriously. Or at least, he could be trying harder for the sake of his court. He spent a lot of time with Xi-Wang, powered and unpowered. They did happen to be apart when he got the message from Acubens, and though they had never met before Kiuchi had talked about her enough that she was recognizable on the other side of the compact.

Wanting to prove that he was at least somewhat capable on his own, he found his own ride into Mirrorspace without the help of Kiuchi this time. He didn't recognize anyone aside form Kiuchi and Acubens, who he had yet to meet in person.

He felt a little awkward, meeting so many new court members at once. Which was odd, he was used to meeting new people and loved a good party. This felt very different though and so he found himself at Kiuchi's side to have a familiar face beside him.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you all. I'm Fulu, Senshi of Qilin." He gave a little wave after that, but wasn't sure what more to do or say.

Turning his dark eyes onto the colorfully dressed senshi, Logos, his head tipped in greeting. It was nice to meet others, at least when they were from his own court. He wasn't always happy to meet other people from the other factions, they weren't always so nice, but the dark mirror court was family to him. Nodding at her words, her agreement with him, he continued to listen to her.

Why would Acubens worry about others showing up? To him the idea of members not turning up wasn't possible. Maybe not everyone would turn up but people would! He was sure of that.

When Mithra turned up he felt a smile tug at the corners of his lips. It was nice to see her out and about and joining them tonight. "Mithra. It's good to see you." And she was right - they were scattered. But maybe this would fix things a bit...they could work together on something, as Acubens was disclosing what the call was for. Crystals...hmmm. He was certain he had one from his last trip here. "I think I have a crystal from my last trip here. I should be able to gain another from my own island as well." Which would produce a lovely tree with softly glowing blossoms.

"Since you both went over y our powers." Nodding his head to Logos and Mithra. "I suppose I should add in that my magic makes people feel sick...puking sick." Which would work wonders with Logos' magic. If she made people dizzy and he made them sick...well it would render a person useless against them, and open to attack from someone else.

Spotting the senshi of clovers when she arrived he raised a hand, beckoning her over. "Sadalsuud." Calling towards the female. He hadn't seen her in a while and it was nice to see her tonight. "It seems we'll be crystal hunting tonight. We'll make mirror space a bit more cheerful." Turning to look towards the newly arrived Fulu, who stood at his side, Kiuchi let an arm slip about the tallers waist. "I didn't think you'd come." He knew the other wasn't the most active and knew no one else here. He was happy to see his partner though, to know he might be trying to venture further into the dark mirror court and the bigger picture.

He knew Acubens would say something, he wasn't sure what though, as she knew about Fulu from his many talks. He knew how Acubens was and that she would be excited to finally meet the other in person.

Really" Acubens was calling for everyone to come to mirror space? Liam did consider skipping it but he knew better, Rhona would bother him about it later, and honestly he didn't want to upset her. She had given him a lot and he was thankful, as he should be, he just didn't like the idea of being social and dealing with people. He wasn't a people person....but he'd make an exception for Rhona.

Powering up the senshi of bleeding hearts headed for the nearest mirror, in the bathroom, and made it into the entrance room. Bright blue eyes instantly looking around at all the people he didn't know, as he looked for the one he knew best. Finding Rhona at the center of it all he headed over towards her.

"Acubens." As much as he wanted to use her civilian name he avoided it, just incase she didn't want everyone to know her name. "You're ok?" He asked, looking down at her, as he folded his arms across his chest. He wasn't much for talking to others so he did his best to avoid meeting others eyes as he stood near to the center of everyone's attention.

When Itokawa turned up in mirror space, to answer the call of someone he'd only met once, he found others in the area. All people he didn't know. Of course he didn't know any of them. He didn't know anyone in the court well, aside from a meeting here and there, nothing substantial. Maybe he really should just turn around and head home, and hope no one saw him, he was sure no one would miss him or even contact him about leaving.

He didn't leave though, not yet anyway, and made to keep his distance while still being close enough to listen in. He didn't know why they'd been called here and he did want to know, but he also felt awkward around these people. Last time he'd met any of them he'd barely spoken any English and it had all been butchered. At least now he could speak the language, even if there was an accent, but he could manage now to converse with others. But about what?

More people filtered in and Acubens could feel the tension slipping from her shoulders. Even people she knew would rather be anywhere else showed up. It moved her, really. And so when Mel approached her, she hooked her arm through his and kissed his cheek as well.

"I'm more than okay, love. I'm inspired! More so now that there are so many people showing up..." more than she expected. More than she felt she had any right to ask. "And I'm so glad you came too. I know how much you dislike gatherings... it means a lot to me. Of course, if it gets too much," she finished with a motion that signaled she was fine with his leaving should he need to.

She released Mel after a moment and an affectionate squeeze of the forearm to make a note of others who walked in. One wrapped himself around Kiuchi, and Acubens was reminded of the hickey she'd seen on the young man's neck months before. She raised an inquisitive eyebrow and quirked the corner of her lip up playfully but said nothing, instead opting to introduce herself to the people who had just arrived, smiling in particular and Sadalsuud, who remained quiet.

"I'm so happy you all could make it. I'm Sailor Acubens, senshi of Velociraptors for those of you who don't know. There are some familiar faces, some stranges faces, and some faces in between. While we wait, please mingle. This is a chance for us to build ties and... I dunno bond a little!"

While everyone in the court struck Logos as interesting in their own ways, it was always the quiet ones who drew her the most. Two in particular who seemed to have at least passing familiarity with their host elected to hang back. Interesting. They have at least soft ties to Acubens, but not strong enough to approach her as the blonde senshi had. And no ties to be seen to any other senshi present.

Well, if Miss Acubens' goal was to make a more connected Court, perhaps she could do her part as well.

Logos stationed herself between the two most silent senshi and stood silent as well for a few moments, facing ahead, as always at attention. when she finally spoke, it was with the clipped but not unfriendly cadence of someone accustomed to military life.

"I'm Sailor Logos. Of the Helix. It's a pleasure to meet you two."

Itokawa wasn't expecting anyone to approach him, they didn't know him, but someone did approach...sort of. They stood between him and another dark mirror senshi - silently. When they did talk he took a moment before responding to them.

"Itokawa - fairy rings. It is nice to meet you as well." The accent was there, heavy, but his English was good. He'd done his best to learn, plus two years was a good amount of time to learn a language. He still found he had issues with certain phrases and terms that weren't part of the normal language - slang. He wasn't good with those things...but he was working on it, he had to.
