Requirements:Team Size: 4; Recommended Level: ~1; Faction: Beacon Students Only.
General Quest Guidelines
You can dictate the actions of the Creatures of Grimm unless otherwise specified. Generally you should not finish off all of the creature(s) until all teammates have posted at least once for that section (though as long as nobody is complaining we don't mind). Meaning a three level quest requires at least 12 posts to finish for a team of four. It is your job to keep track of posts. The crew may randomly check to make sure you are all following the rules, because we don't want people cheating, but ultimately as long as everyone is having fun Role-playing we are happy! These quests are designed to give your team fun things to do first and foremost! Any member may randomly join in to control the monster's actions for a post. Underlined sentences mark the levels of creatures and requirements to proceed to the next level. Also if someone has not posted for that day feel free to skip their turn. Posting orders can hinder a good Role-play experience and that is the last thing we want (there is no real post order rules for this guild! Be active)! Remember to PM any crew when you have finished, and to turn it in on the main quest board. Lastly when the prompts say that a creature or group of creatures require something like 50 cumulative posts to defeat. This does not mean you must post 50 times to kill it. It means your post count added together must equal at least 50 for you to kill the beast. Which can be done in a single post, or in several depending on how you role-play.

Ïntrodüctiøn:
A small town on the outskirts of Vale have been struggling with a Grim infestation. It seems as soon as they manage to fend one off, a bigger, stronger one attacks. Crops and produce are being destroyed, buildings are crumbling, and the death poll is skyrocketting. The attacks have done nothing but crush the moral of the town. People are devestated amd scared. The greif and negative energy keeos growing and drawing the attention of more grimm. There aren't enough hunters or huntresses available at the moment to defend the village, so it's up to you and your team. Meet in the courtyard, kill the Grimm, and save the town.
Level One
as you approach the town, the signs of chaos can already be seen. Claw marks across the bark of the trees. Red splattered across the grass. The walls of the city are worn and crumbled. It's almost like the entire atmosphere changes as you grow closer. The tension and negative energy in the air is so thick you could choke on it. Before you have even entered the town, you happen upon a lone Boarbatusk (level X). It charges at the last person to post, tusks first.
Defeat the Boarbatusk to proceed.
Level Two
Upon defeating the pack, you finally enter the the town. Windows are boarded shut and the streets are nearly empty. In the distance you can hear the cries of what sounds to be a small child. Following the disturbance to the center of town, you see three large Ursas (level X) closing in on a little girl, probably orphaned from all the recent attacks. Alerted to your presence, one of them lunges at the little girl while the other two lung at the third person to have posted in the courtyard, smashing them into a nearby building.
Save the little girl and defeat the Ursa to proceed.
Level Three
Once you have defeated the Ursa pack and rescued the little girl it is time to clear the rest of the town of any remaining Grimm. (You may chose if you see any additional Grimm. If you do they will be level X Beowolves, max of 10). Once the town is clear it is time to deal with the damage. There are citizens who may have attained injuries that they were unable to get treated, attend to any of those injuries that you can.
Clear the town and treat the injured to complete.

Azura Knight
Azura arrived with her usual backpack full of supplies. Standard field medkit, rations and water, a tarp and a rope in case it started to rain. Dust was a bit trickier and Azura eventually decided to go with a mix. One gravity, one steam and one fire of raw dust. As for bullets for her rifle, she brought 2 ice, 2 earth, 2 lightning and 2 wind. The fire was more useful for killing Grimm but seeing as they were there to defend a village she decided to go with more defensive options...and dust that was less likely to burn the village down by accident. With Crimson Regret hanging off her belt, her travel cloak on, and backpack sitting at her feet, Azura waited for the rest of her team to arrive.
Semblance: 0/(5/4/3) Cooldown: 0/4 Backpack: First Aid Kit, Survival Kit (water & protein bars(one week worth), paracord, tarp, flashlight), Dust Bullets: 2 ice, 2 earth, 2 lightning and 2 wind, Raw Dust: Gravity, Steam, Fire.

┎⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯☪⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┒
Once again the fiery brunette had woken up in a hospital room. Thankfully not as frantically as the time before. Instead she had been left groggy and confused, her head throbbing like someone had tried to bash her skull in with a rock. It was only later that she learned that in a sense, that's exactly what had happened. There had been a cave in shortly after all the students had entered the cavern for their last mission. Ridley was one of the many that had been hit by the falling rocks and debris. The force of the small boulder colliding with her skull had knocked her straight out and left a nasty split running up her forehead and back into her raven locks. She'd woken up with stitches and a gnarly concussion, but in all retrospect it could have been much worse. A few miserable days stuck in the infirmary and she was good to go. Getting checked out of the infirmary had easily been one of the most joyous things that had happened that week. Being cooped up like that made her antsy, restless and gave her mind way too much time to run rampant with thoughts of her brother. She just couldn't shake him, not since she'd had that dream in the midst of her coma. He was like a leech, burrowed under so many layers if skin that he became unreachable. So deep that no amount of digging, cutting, or prying would free her from him. A leech that was sucking on her energy, her life force. A leech that was draining from her that very fire that made her herself. The brazen huntress just couldn't rid herself of him, or shake the feeling that he was her. Watching her with that dark hues she'd always hated. Such a dark blue they were nearly black. The color of the night sky, only it was absent of the light and beauty that the stars and the moon brought. Waiting with claws outstretched, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. A ghost, haunting her every waking moment and then worming his way into her dreams. There was never a moment of peace, of sanity. It left the girl distant, disgruntled, and constantly on edge. Needless to stay, her mindset was no better than it had been heading into their last mission. It hadn't grown any worse, but it was still a problem that hadn't been addressed. An issue she would rather continually and stubbornly brush under the rug rather than confront. Thus, the wound continued to fester and ooze slowly eating away at her from the inside out.
It was all made worse by the simple fact that she hadn't stopped blaming herself for taking a nap on their last mission. Time and time again her teammates had assured her it wasn't her fault. How was she to predict the cave in? It all happened so fast, how could she have expected to move out of the way before she was hit and taken out of the running. It was simply bad timing, bad placement. There was nothing she or anyone else could have done to prevent it. That's what they kept telling her, and that's what she kept trying to tell herself. However, Ridley just couldn't shake the thought that if she hadn't been distracted she could have moved out of the way fast enough. That if Zander hadn't been controlling her thoughts she could have been there. She could have lead her team like she was supposed to. She could have helped them through the turmoil that had unfurled within the depths of the cavern. The guilt and embarrassment of leaving them to fend for themselves was yet another thing that had been eating away at her. Of course she didn't speak on it much, unless it was in the form of a joke, but it was still lingering in the back of her mind. A constant reminder that she needed to do better. That was simply one of the reasons she had spent the majority of her free time this past couple of weeks training. If she wasn't in class, or participating in some other activity with her team, she could be found at the arena. She couldn't exactly practice with her semblance, not without putting some innocent soul into excruciating agony. Rather she ran obstacle courses until she couldn't run any farther and hit target dummies until her arms couldn't swing any longer. A few times she even roped Rachel into throwing a hurricane of random objects at her while she ran frantically to and fro attempting to dodge them all. Admittedly she had come back to the dorms more than once with a fresh series of bruises. On the outside it might simply look like an aspiring huntress working herself teeth and nail to the next level. For Ridley, and anyone who knew the girl, it was very different. It had been different ever since she woke up from that spontaneous coma. Something had snapped out of place and it was yet to snap back. This excessive training, as hard as she worked to convince her team, and even herself, that she just wanted to be prepared for next time, it was really just a distraction. If she kept her mind and her body busy, there would be no room for Zander to creep back into her thoughts. If she exhausted herself enough throughout the day, then she was able to snag a few hours of sleep before the nightmares set in.
This morning had started much like any other. Ridley had never been a morning person. Even her teammates never dared wake her before she chose to get out of bed herself. She slept until the last second, only rising when she really had to, which most days left her running late. It had even spawned a series of nicknames from Adam as well as her own personal Medusa joke. It was yet another thing that had changed in the last few weeks. Every morning the huntress-in-training woke in a frantic flurry of sheets and limbs, more than once her panic had caused her to fall right out of bed. Roles had reversed and it seemed more often than not, the raven haired girl was the first to rise... though all the commotion made it difficult for the rest of her team to continue sleeping. Well, except for Adam who slept like a rock. After her morning brawl with her bed, she would shower and get herself ready for the day before forcing some sort of sustenance down her throat. At that point she usually still felt nauseous and never desired to eat, but she always made herself swallow at least a few bites. Today was no different, except for rather than dressed I. Her school uniform, she was adorned in black and gold from head to toe, her usual battle gear. Rather than letting her long raven locks fall loosely down her back, it was braided elegantly to the side. Rather than preparing to head to class, she was preparing for a mission. The huntress was actually rather excited. There was more pep in her step than there has been as of late and a gleam in her golden hues that had been missing. It was a chance to escape her usual environment. A chance to take her frustration out on people or creatures that actually deserved it rather than the practice dummies she was starting to destroy. A chance to make a difference and redeem herself from her previous blunder.
The young raven haired maiden walked into the courtyard looking more normal than she had in weeks. Of course the tell tale signs were still there. Soft shadows beneath her golden orbs betraying and revealing just how sleepdeprieved she was. Bruises scattered over pale skin, some fresh while others had began to fade with time. Still, there was a flicker of that fire back in her eyes, pulls of liquid butterscotch warmed from within, rather than iced over as they had been. Azura had beat her here, but that didn't really surprise the bold leader. Her dark-haired friend was never anything short of prepared, and thus she was always in time, if not early. "So teamie, you ready to kick some a** and take some names?" A wry smirk would curl at the edges of her lips, dark eyebrows wriggling playfully in a very Ridley esque way. After a moment she let out a soft laugh and came to stand beside her teammate, golden orbs peering out in search of their other two teammates. "What a couple of slowpokes. It's time to get this show on the road." Perhaps the warrior of gleaming gold and black was just a little too excited about the idea of possible violence, but when was she not excited and ready to joke in the face of danger? In fact, seeing her like this was surely a refreshing sight. Certainly better than the somber, zombie-like trance she had been stuck in. A sign that despite whatever it was going on in that raven-haired head of hers, she was still the same old Ridley deep down.

"Zzzzzz.... ZZZZZ...zzzz-! Mhlem mlem. Zzz-huh?" he wakes. He blindly paws for his glasses before knocking them to the ground. "grmm!" he grumbled. He reached over the side of his bed and trying to grab for his glasses. "Why?" he asked the gods. Just before he grabbed them the alarm began to blare. "Why?!" he lowly exclaimed. He pounded his alarm before his arm droops over the side of his bed once again. He opens his eyes and hangs off the side of the bed to find his spectacles. "There you at." he says sleepily. He grabs them without caution before slamming them on his nightstand. He sits up and rubs his eyes removing the sleepies. He looks around his room as if he doesn't recognize it and yawns. He grabs his glasses and some clothes and heads to the bathroom to shower. Thankfully, it was unoccupied. After his business was done he exits fresh and invigorated. He looks to his team and notices, but isn't surprised, that Azura was gone. "Huh? Do we have class today?" he asked himself. He checked his scroll and looked through his calendar. 'MISSION TODAY, STUPID!' it read. A vein protrudes from his forehead and he shouts at his scroll. "Who the heck do you think you're talking to?!" Promptly, an alarm goes off and the message reads 'You, dummy!' Another tick mark makes its way to the surface. "You stupid little-!" he seethes trying to strangle his scroll. Then it hit him. "Mission?" he looks at his scroll as he still tries to strangle it. 'GET GOING!' another message says. He knows himself too well to set up all these messages and alarms in such tandem and precision. He looked to Ridley's bed and saw the results of a war. "That poor bed." he thought. He looked to Cecil's bed and walked over. He lightly nudged him a bit and said, "Cecil, we got a mission, brother." he said hoping to wake him up. He looked back to Ridley's bed. Worry set on his face. She's been running herself ragged with the training and whatnot. He sighed knowing that he failed to protect her. He just felt like he was only meant to hurt and not help, but he smiled. He brushed himself off and smiled. He opened the door and looked back to Cecil, "See you at the Courtyard!" he says before the door shuts. He rushes towards the courtyard diving under and jumping over students. He bursts through the door and continues to speed through the door. Why is he in such a hurry? Well, he loves working with his team and going on a mission makes him happy. The other reason? "That scroll thinks it's so smart. Telling me what to do. Calling me stupid! I should shatter that dang thing!" he said through his teeth. He was exerting his energy to calm himself down. Didn't think a phone would be the one to do Adam in. With further thought... this happens everyday. It seems he's just had it. Breathing heavily he reached his friends. Gasping for air and a little sweat dripping from his head he smiles at them. "Heh heh. I made it first!" He plops onto the ground and looks up at the two ladies of Team DARK. "Azura I'm not surprised that you made it here before all of us, event hough I made it here first..." he points at Ridley, ".... but you! I don't know what kind of magic you used, but I thought I would eat my t-shirt before you got here before me....even though I got here first." he said. His breath finally catching up to him he stood and brushed off the seat of his pants. He looked at Ridely, hiding his worry, and couldn't help but to look at her bruises and scars. He sighed internally. He was so happy she was out of the infirmary. He couldn't put it into words. The mischievous smirk, he copied from Ridley, spanned his face. "Well, well... I'm sure they have a wing dedicated to you in the infirmary by now, right?" he asks. The brown brawler wanted her to know, without saying, that everything was normal. She wasn't weak nor were they disappointed. It was a freak accident and she's lucky that betting knocked out was the extent of her damage. All the true damage was self-inflicted. And it was unnecessary. The best way he could convey that? By trash-talking her. Without their banter, he'd feel that something was off. "It must be nice to get such beauty sleep, eh, Goldilocks?" he smiles. He looks to Azura and chuckles. "How did you sleep, Azura? I'm surprised you didn't wake your man up." he playfully poked at her.
Cecil arrived at the targetted town a bit late, he had to do some preperations, such as a bit of clothing changes and preparing his dust. He was carrying his backpack over his shoulder, namely the basics of traveling, such as food, drink, and the occasional spare scarf. He could see the rest of his teammates had already arrived, his body had lost his main overcoat, leaving him in just his dress shirt and vest while the scarf remained around his neck. His dress pants and shoes were at least a deep navy blue in color while he finally arrived. Earlier today he was awakened by Adam nudging him awake and saying that he'd see him at the courtyard before he could respond. "Hey, sorry about sleeping in. Something must've gotten loose in this refridgerator." He told them with a smile, tapping the side of his head with his left index finger. He had been a bit different since the cave mission, maybe that lightning knocked a few knots out of his head to leave room for a relaxed Cecil?

┎⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯☀⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┒
What greeted the members of team Dark was a sunny day...for the moment at the least. There more than a few clouds drifting across the sky, and further in the horizon there seemed to be a dark cloud slowly making its way to them. But that was far away for the moment. The wind was providing a pleasant cool to the heat of the sun above. There was the sounds of birds in the distance, the trickle of the fountain, and that of the occasional student walking through. All seemed peaceful and well, likely a welcome relief to all the stresses the senior team had encountered not too long ago.
But this was not a day for relaxation for the team. Or perhaps it was. Today the crew known as Dark were undertaking a mission of Aid. A small town on the outskirts of Vale had been subject to repeated attack by Grimm, likely the reason why there had not been a massive attack on Vale in some time. While the town has successfully held...it has come at a heavy cost. Peoples livelihoods, food, homes, and even lives have been claimed in ever increasing number. And the losses have only increased the negative emotions that feed the Grimm, leading to a cycle that may destroy the town. Had it not been for the determination to prove places outside of Vale itself could be reclaimed, the town likely would have been abandoned by now. And given it is not Vale itself...the military has seen fit not to offer it protection. Now things have become so bad the calls for aid are becoming daily, and most assume the town is doomed to fall. Today, that call for help has been answered. While the town isn't under siege at this moment, their scouts had noticed a large number of Grimm approaching and wanted to call for aid ahead of time in case they couldn't hold.
While the military itself won't be of help, the school had seen it fit to get the students there speedily. As all of them team convened, four advanced motorcycles were brought out for them. It would be their transportation to the town, and would stay with them if they saw more uses for it there. It even seemed customized a bit for each of them. While they were all primarily obsidian in color, they had different trims adorning them. One had gold, another an azure blue, one had a crimson red...and the final one was pink.
As they traveled, they would find it to be relatively peaceful. No Grimm seemed to be immediately by the school, but as they traveled they started to notice signs of them. Claw marks, broken trees as if a stampede had occurred, occasionally the sight of blood or what remained of a cart. The further away from beacon they traveled, the more evident it became. And the sky seemed to match the atmosphere, as the dark clouds they noticed earlier would begin to cover the sky to darken the once sunny day.
(feel free to have fun in driving as you travel, rp if you like, etc). Eventually, they would begin to see smoke...and smell it. As they would near the town, they would start to hear screams. They could see trampled fields, damaged walls, and a town gate which seems to have recently been destroyed. And Grimm finally in sight. The town was still pretty far off, and the grimm seemed to be more stragglers from the main horde than anything. From where they were, they could only see four boarbatusk who were intent on the town and hadn't noticed them yet.
((Clear out the Grimm, get to the Town))

Azura smiled when she spotted Ridley approaching her in the courtyard, dressed in full battle gears. More than that, their golden leader was standing a little straighter and had more energy in her step. A chance to redeem herself. Azura only hoped if they were successful, Ridley would stop running herself ragged with constant training. Not knowing about Ridley's brother, Azura, of course, assumed the nightmares and tireless training and to do with being knocked out twice. In her mind, a successful mission would ease Ridley's self-doubt and fears. Seeing Ridley acting a bit more normal, even if the dark shadows were still there, seemed to confirm that theory. Maybe she would get some real sleep before she collapsed in the middle of one of their classes. "Those Grimm won't know what hit them." Azura returned the smile. "And for once, no caves." The young huntress had more than her share of caves. She tried to tell herself it was good practice for situations where her weapon was least effective, but Azura really wanted to unfold the blade and use Crimson Regret in all its glory. "Adam probably forgot. Cecil is probably on his way. We are a bit early still."
As if on cue, Adam came bursting into the courtyard, dodging students as he ran towards the better half of team DARK. She couldn't help but giggle a bit as he stopped, gasping for air and sweating while proclaiming he'd been their first. Though she did glance at Ridley when Adam brought up the elephant in the room. They all knew why she was here so early. Because the nightmares woke her before her first alarm even went off. Though her alarm clock was probably thankful to not be abused every morning, it was a worrying trend. "I slept alright." That was a lie. She spent half the night running through everything she had packed, wondering if she had forgotten something. Someone ought to invent some kind of weightless bag with unlimited storage so she can bring everything. Unfortunately, she had to balance preparedness with what she could reasonably carry. Azura bent over and picked up an extra backpack she had sitting at her feet and held it out to Adam. "I'm not surprised you didn't pack supplies" Azura teased back. It was a mark of how comfortable she was with her teammates that she was even willing to tease one of them.
Last to join them was Cecil, well dressed as always. And actually prepared with a backpack of supplies, unlike their other latecomer. Of course, she smiled as always, lighting up a bit whenever she saw Cecil. Even though they were on the same team, between school, work, missions and visiting Ridley in the hospital, date nights and quality time were hard to find. After the night of the ball, it felt like things at Beacon had switched to full throttle. "Just in time," Azura commented as some motorcycles were rolled out for them.

┎⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯☪⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┒
A small, almost unnoticeable, shudder ran through Ridley's body at Azura's comment about caves as a shiver ran up her spine, causing the hair on the back of her neck to rise. As much as the hot-headed huntress might try to hide it, it was no secret that their seemingly fearless leader was not fond of the damp, dark, and cramped caves. The way the walls seemed to close around her, confining her, constricting her chest and squeezing the air from her lungs... Whether her team had caught onto her fear of tight spaces or just assumed her hesitancy was due to the unfortunate events of their first mission together was unknown to her. Like most things that bothered the stubborn girl, she brushed it under the rug and made silly jokes to cover up the blatantly obvious signs. The truth was she hated caves and anything that resembled them. It was a fear she'd always had. One Zander had always used to manipulate her. Yet, it was a fear that was slowly growing into hatred. After all, after their most recent mission, it was becoming rather apparent that she didn't have the best track record with caves. If she never had to enter one the rest of her life, it would still be too soon. Shaking the thoughts away with the slight jerk of her head, rebellious obsidian strands that had escaped her blade would fall across her forehead. "Thank heaven almighty. If they sent us into another cave, I might just consider moving to the country and loving off the land like..." Her voice trailed off towards the end of her statement. A comment that might have been rather humorous were it not for the way her smirk faltered and bright orbs darkened. Pools of liquid butterscotch gardening to amber. Her expression was almost incomprehensible, flickering with a parade of negativity. The emotions flickered through her eyes much to quickly to be deciphered. Then her expression went blank, almost empty. "Like my father." Reaching up to brush the stray strands of hair out of her face, she'd turn her head away from Azura in an attempt to mask her expression from the girl. It would have been the first time she mentioned her father to anyone but Adam. For all anyone else knew, she'd been raised her entire life by her uncle, as he was the only family member she mentioned regularly, or rather, at all. It was a topic she wasn't ready to breech. Not yet. Especially not now.
Thankfully before much else could be said on the matter, Adam came burling clumsily through the courtyard. Dodging past students and hurdling over obstacles it was quite a sight to behold. Just as quickly as it had vanished, that same smirk was finding it's way back onto her mouth, lifting the edges of her lips and brightening those golden orbs. There was something about Adam, more than just his silly gestures or goofy jokes, something about his entire presence that made it hard not to smile. He hadn't failed yet to lift the spirits of the raven-haired girl and lighten her sour mood. It was something that had remained true from the beginning. As he skidded to an abrupt halt, claiming a victory long lost to him, Ridley couldn't help but laugh. "Right, Azura and I have been her long enough to plot our next epic scheme, but you were here first." That was not entirely true, but there was no reason Adam needed to know that. "I suppose I can keep letting you think that for the sake of your oh-so delicate ego." A wry smile would spread across her lips before she flashed him a playful wink. He had a point, it was never a surprise that Azura was always the first to arrive, nothing short of prepared. However, their rash and impetuous leader had almost always been the last to arrive up until recently. She'd always been one to cling desperately to the last few minutes of sleep everyone morning. It was a habit that was hard to break and one that had made her late to class more than once. The drastic and sudden change was worrisome, but Ridley did what she did best in times like these. Smirked, and waved away concern with the flutter of her hand. "The dark kind of magic." The words would slip through her lips with a casual, but absolute seriousness, golden hues locking on chocolate orbs to gage his reaction. After a moment she'd wriggled her eyebrows at him and wink teasingly, flashing that playful smirk once more. "Just try not to choke on your t-shirt. Alright?" The teasing and banter came easily with Adam, a constant back and forth. It was a normalcy she clung to, one that was likely the only reassurance that despite her strange behavior lately, she hadn't completely lost her mind. She was still there, still Ridley, even if it didn't always seem like it. Adam couldn't let her get ahead of the game, and his retort left her momentarily stunned. A reaction that was as rare as it was humorous. Mouth left slightly agape as words betrayed her and a shocked silence lingered. After a moment she snapped it closed, crossing her arms tightly across her chest. Then, in a very child-like manner, she stuck her tongue out at him. "You're just jealous. I don't see anyone naming park benches, or in this case, hospital wings, after you." Smirking over her shoulder at him, a soft laugh would escape her lips as she let her arms fall back to her side.
It wasn't much longer before their final teammate arrived in the courtyard. The icy aura that was Cecil, their own personal icebreaker. Smirking at his comment, a mischievous gleam twinkled in her golden orbs. Indication that there was a quip coming his way. Really she couldn't help herself. He'd left it wide open. "I'm glad you've finally admitted it. Acceptance is the first step in overcoming these sorts of issues. Good job Cecil, I'm very proud." Wiping a false tear from her eye with one hand, she'd give him a fond pat on the shoulder with the other. In all reality though, it seemed Ridley wasn't the only one who hadn't quite been acting herself. Perhaps it was a bit more extreme and worrisome in Ridley's case, but still. It seemed ever since the Omega mission, Cecil hadn't been quite so uptight. Definitely far more relaxed than usual. It wasn't a bad thing per say, just different. It did make the huntress-in-training all the more curious to the events that had u folded in that cave. Sure, she'd had it explained to her time and time again. She'd pestered each and everyone of them with a relentless assault of questions. Even so, it was vastly different having a situation explained to you, versus witnessing it and experiencing it in person. From what she had put together, it had been an extremely dangerous mission. Some had fallen, and even those that had made it out... well, they almost hadn't. They'd all come back worse for wear. Honestly it terrified her. The idea of her teammates being stuck in such dire circumstances, and she hadn't been there to help them. She hadn't been able to do anything. There wasn't anything Ridley hated more than being helpless, useless. Especially when her loved ones were at risk. Ridley did love them, sure, she had funny ways of showing it at times, but they'd each managed to claim a piece of her heart. They were her family and she'd lost family before. She knew better than most what it felt like to be forced to stand by idly while they were ripped from this world. She knew all too well the pain and grief of a death, a death that may have been avoided had she not been so weak, so helpless. Dark brows would furrow over gold hues, forehead creasing. It was an expression they would know all to well. It was the one she wore whenever she was beating herself up over not being there for them. It was something she did often. It didn't matter that the circumstances had not been in her control, she'd blame herself all the same. Hands clenched into tight fists at her sides, it was only once she felt her nails digging into the tender flesh of her palms that she realized how upset she was getting, and more so, how much she was letting it show. Letting a long breath pass through her lips, rustling the stray hairs that had fallen back into her face, she'd force her hands open, fingers aching as blood rushed back through them. Today was a day for redemption, not one to fret over events of the past that she could not change.
Before she, or any of the rest of them could say anything more, four motorcycles were rolled out for them. The military wouldn't be offering them any aid, but Beacon had still assured that they would had a quick, and reliable way of transport to and from this mission. Still, this hadn't been what she was expecting. Honey orbs would widen slightly at the sight of the four bikes, fresh paint gleaming beneath the rays of a golden sun. An exhilarated grin would spread over her lips, her feet moving almost subconsciously towards the one with gold accents. It seemed each of them had been customized to each of the students... Though Ridley couldn't really wrap her head around the pink one. All she knew was that she'd rather walk five hundred miles through hell than be caught riding that atrocity around. "Dibs!" Without another word, she'd claim the gold one as her own, grasping the handle bars tightly and slinging a booted foot over it. Looking to her teammates, a wild grin still plastered on her face, golden orbs would lock on Adam. "What do you want to bet I can beat you for a second time today?" There was a challenge gleaming in golden orbs, a teasing arch of her brow followed by her signature smirk. Positioning herself upon the motorcycle, she'd turn the engine before revving the engine. Their rash leader seemed to be much too excited over their newfound transportation, which might have brought forth the question of whether the combination of an always reckless Ridley and motorcycles was really a good idea. Either way, there was no going back now.

"Epic scheme? Against me?" he asked feigning shock. "Why I never!" he exclaimed before chuckling. "You'd have to get up pretty early in the morning to pull one over on ol' Adam Argent!" he boasted pointing to himself with his thumb. "I see everything! I remember everything! I'm prepared for everything!" Azura then passed him a bag that she specifically packed for him. He slowly took it and held it behind his back. "What do you mean, Azura?" he said bringing the bag around from the opposite side. I packed my supplies. I have them right here!" he showed off the bag he definitely packed himself. He then looked off to the side and innocently whistled. He turned back to Ridley who seemed to be sarcastically confirming he was there first. He simply leaned in a bit to her and Azura and said, "That's for keeping first warm for me." topping it off with a goofy smile. Cecil made his appearance shortly after. Adam held his heart in pride at his joke. "My baby boy! Growing up so fast!" he sniffled. He turned back to Ridley defiantly crossing his arms. "I'll have you know my ego is one of the great treasures of Remnant. People come far and wide to even have a chance to witness it!" he grinned. "Dark magic, huh? I knew it! All that black and gold! Dead giveaway!" he chuckled. Adam thought about the sauces he would have to put on his shirt to make it go down easier. "BBQ? Maybe Sweet and Sour?" he mulled. "Why couldn't I say Ridley's shirt considering she's so small It'd go down with no problem." he thought aloud making fun of the golden munchkin. Adam smiled in excitement. Nearly speechless himself. "Wait... no way. No way! Are you speechless, Ms. Thing? Gasp!" he said slapping the sides of his face with his hands holding them there. "Did I make you speechless?" his voice foolishly distorted. "Welp," he cracks his knuckles, "I'd say I'm a full-fledged Hunter now!" he boasts. He takes a breath of satisfaction just before she retorts. "I'll have you know that I do have something named after me!" he says pointing to the sky. "It's pronounced 'Sky' but It's spelled 'A-D-A-M'" he explained. "Check and mate!" he smiles proudly.
Through all the jokes and banter of the team, mainly Adam and Ridley, there were moments that weren't as light-hearted. It was quick, but it wasn't imperceptible. The guilt and pain from their leader. Something he learned how to recognize from frequently staring at her eyes. One of her most beautiful features. Her fists balling and white-knuckling was always a problem for him. Instead of placing his finger in the middle of her forehead as usual, he strongly placed his hand on her shoulder and spoke, "Man am I glad we're all back together. It just isn't the same when just one of us is missing. Everyone is here to back each other up and support each other. We're the best team in Beacon." giving his widest brightest smile. His head snapped to an approaching noise. Four motorcycles. For their mission. For them! Each one matching the appropriate rider. Except one. Ridley dashed to the golden accented one, but before she could swing her boot over it Adam was already on the pink bike examining it. "Ooooh WEE!" he exclaimed. "Never been on one of these, but a'in't she a beaut?!" he said. He turned to his leader and saw her staring him down revving the engine. He brought his engine to life and smiled as it roared. "Beat who? Not me and Pink Drink here!" he said referring to his new steed. He reeled back on the accelerator circling the group popping a wheelie before coming to a stop balancing on one tire. "You underestimate my recklessness with new toys, Ms. Delmhorst! Or should I say 'Ms. Gonna-Eat-My-Dust?!'" he revved again staying in place.

Cecil smiled at Azura and bowed his head to her while looking to the teammates he was to work with today, for once they were all together. Once the motorcycles were brought out, Cecil saw the azure blue next to the crimson motorcycle as he smiled. He could hear the voice from Ridley as he chuckled and soon said, "I'm pretty sure there's more screws loose in the oven than my fridge." He teased Ridley with a knowing smirk as she was always a firey ally to him before He slowly moved onto the azure bike and started it up with a nice cool roar of the engine. He blushed as it was running, not having ridden something like this before but he would learn on the go. He was thankful it was a bike rather than a car, cause even with reading it was still too different. Adam then started going off about how his ego was the great treasure before Cecil chimed in. "If your ego was the greatest treasure then your downfall will be in legends everywhere." He told the man with a chuckle afterwards while putting on his accompanied helmets they provided. He was thankful they had built-in mic and earpieces so they could remain in contact with eachother during the drive.
Once he watched Azura climb aboard her bike along with Adam, Cecil's eyes narrowed before he soon said. "Let's ride." With that, he lifted his hips and lifted the kick stand as he sat back down, revving the bike as it began to drive off. In the last moment he shouted. "Last one there buys dinner for the whole team!" If Ridley and Adam wanted to make a bet, Cecil would place the entire team in it for fun at this point! As he was driving through, he could smell smoke in the distance while the driving the bike before he brought his left hand up from the handle to the helmet's side to use the earpiece, his hand-eye co-ordination on point in staying steady, like skating with the body on a large hunk of metal. "Eyes open people, I can smell smoke up ahead. We're getting close so activate your auras so we won't get surprised by grimm, right Captain?" He asked of Ridley during the drive, she may be the leader, but Cecil always helped her with planning. α в ¢ ∂ є ƒ g н ι נ к ℓ м η σ ρ q я ѕ т υ ν ω χ у

Azura smiled and laughed lightly at Ridley's shudder. The girl was highly observant, but that didn't mean she was good at reading people. The highly socially awkward girl took to be more of a joke than legitimate fear of the caves, due to past childhood trauma. After all, there last two missions had involved caves and hadn't gone over very well. While she hadn't developed a fear of them, she had developed a strong dislike for more caves, at least in the near future, and figured Ridley was feeling the same. It wasn't until Ridley's face fell and she turned away that Azura realized that perhaps laughter wasn't the correct response. She had at least worked with Ridley long enough to figure the golden huntress preferred not to address her emotions. It was a notion the very shy Azura understood deeply. She much preferred it when people didn't draw attention to when she did something embarrassing. "I'll come with you. We'll build lots of skylights in our cabin." Okay, so maybe Azura was thinking a less wilderness survival than Ridley probably was, but the girl wouldn't last long without her books.
"Does that make Adam the toaster?" She asked Cecil brought up Ridley being an oven. As far as appliances go, Adam's excitability made her think of a toaster popping out toast.
With Cecil taking the azure blue motorcycle, Ridley the gold, and Adam the pink, Azura was left with the red one. Adam's excitement over the pink one brought a smile to her face, even as she shook her head a bit. She was relieved that she wasn't the only one who had never been on a motorcycle, though Adam seemed t have figured out how to turn it on easily enough. It was so refreshing for just the four of them to be out together. There should be significantly less cannibalism on this mission. It wasn't the deathstalker that had grabbed her that had haunted Azura. It was Professor Anderson and Eve. As far as she could tell, the Professor hadn't been fired, but Azura wasn't sure how she would be able to face Anderson when it came time for combat class. When she arrived at the crimson accented bike, she slipped the matching helmet over her head. Already Adam and Ridley were challenging each other to a race. Azura would be happy if she didn't wipe out or drive into a tree, or something equally embarrassing, but her fellow motorcycle virgin seemed down for the race. Azura would have put money on Ridley.
She checked her backpack straps before swinging a leg over the crimson accented bike. Experimentally she turned the keys left in the ignition and the machine roared to life. Apparently, that was some kind of signal, as soon as she did that Cecil's voice came over the built-in headset. "Let's ride!" As if they were some kind of motorcycle gang. "Those Grimm won't know what hit them." However, her tune quickly changed. She was still taking in all the gauges and leavers on the bike when Cecil revved his engine and suddenly announced. "Last one there buys dinner for the whole team!"
"W-wait, I don't know how to drive this thing!" Panic took over as she turned the throttle and her bike suddenly lurched forward. Clinging to the behemoth, Azura found herself rocketing forward, raven hair streaming behind her.
After a while Azura seemed to have gotten a handle on the motorcycle. Or at least she hadn't driven it into the bush. She was able to relax enough to start paying attention to her surroundings. At first, there were just claw marks and broken trees, but then they passed a cart gouged and with something on it that looked too much like dried blood. Even the sky seemed to darken as if sensing the mood. "Grimm have been here," she said softly into the headset, the race all but forgotten. A short while later Cecil spoke up. Activating auras seemed like a good plan, so Azura nodded in agreement, forgetting for a second that it was unlikely anyone was looking at her and activated hers. "Judging from the smoke, either the village is currently under attack or has been recently attacked. Unless they decided to have a bonfire festival." She doubted it was the last, but she could hope. The question was, how was Ridley going to have them approach?

Truthfully, Ridley couldn't say she was surprised over Adam's excitement at the sleek, pink motorcycle. It was a very Adam esque reaction. The much harder determination was whether he was actually that thrilled over the coloring of it, or rather was just the continuation of his usual over-top enthusiasm. Either way, the even haired huntress couldn't help the laugh that burst through her lips, nor could she stop that teasing smirk from tugging at the edges of her mouth. "You're looking rather dapper on that bike, Adam dearest."A playful wink was quick to follow her jest, before she pulled the obsidian helmet over her head, concealing her face and with it, her teasing expression. Now, her small frame was already perched upon the vehicle, engine purring beneath her. With the helmet in place, she was ready to go, and several steps ahead of Adam. It would have been far too easy to zoom off and take advantage of a nice head start, but instead the girl patiently waited. Ridley was a lot if things... stubborn, hot headed, reckless... but she wasn't a cheater. The girl would have much preferred the shame of failure over a victory she did not deserve. Besides, kicking Adam's butt fair and square would taste far sweeter and earn her more bragging rights than the alternative. A defiant smirk would dance across her lips, golden orbs burning with determination. It was a fierce expression, even if it was lost behind the visor of her helmet. An amused scoff would sound over their headset, a sound of challenge. Her voice was taunting, yet in the soft, playful way that was all too familar between them. "Eat your dust? Perhaps in your wildest of dreams. Which might just be in the realm of things, you're putting me to sleep over here!" A fake snore would sound over the intercom, followed by a short laugh. It was without warning that her bike would rumble loudly, shooting forward past them like a bullet out of a gun and putting a whole new meaning to the phrase 'petal to the metal'. Dark locks whipped out behind her, escaping their thick braid and dancing rebelliously on the wind. "And ice cream! Ideally pineapple or strawberry." Ridley would tack onto Cecil's challenge, unable to resist another jest towards Adam who loathed her favorite flavors of ice cream. It would become vastly apparent, rather quickly, that this wasn't the girl's first time behind the handle bars of a motorcycle. Ridley was by no means an expert, but her Uncle's preferred method of travel just so happened to be a motorcycle. Perhaps larger than this one, but the mechanics weren't all that different. It didn't change the fact that the girl was still amateur at best, but a few lessons in the bag was a better advantage than poor Azura. A girl that was always prepared, left panicked and frazzled from lack of experience. "Just breathe Azura, and find your center. You're fine." Her voice was much softer this time, gentle and encouraging rather than defiant and taunting.
At first, racing through the trees was an absolute thrill and their brazen leader made a spectacle of it. Weaving in and out of trees, lurching up onto her back tire, jumping over small boulders and logs. Several times she narrowly avoided a collision or very nearly lost her balance and toppled over before regaining it once more. The near-disasters were always followed by a breathless laugh before she rocketed forward once more, determined not to lose her lead. For several minutes all of her worries were lost in the wind. She wasn't thinking about her father, she wasn't thinking about Ayven and what happened that night. She wasn't thinking about the continued night terrors, and most importantly, she wasn't thinking about Zander. She was carefree as she seemed out every thrill and every bit of reckless danger she could. The only thing on her mind was making sure she beat Adam. It was a glimpse of Ridley in her natural state, one they had all grown so familiar with and yet one that had been so fleeting the past several weeks. Perhaps it was exactly what the girl needed, some carefree and preferably reckless fun to get her heart racing and chase away her woes. Unfortunately it wasn't something that could last. As they continued down the path, the sky darkened eerily around them. The atmosphere seemed to thicken, pressing in around them and causing a shiver to run up her spine. Soon the trees became adorned with claw marks and splattered in blood. Crimson droplets vivid against the dark bark. "Be careful, and keep your eyes peeled. Be ready for anyrhing." She warned her team, the exhilarated, breathless fun had left her tone. Her entire demeanor had changed. The huntress-in training was all serious now, golden orbs bright and alert as they scanned the surrounding area. Fingers grasped the handle bars tightly, knuckles slowly turning white as the blood was squeezed out of them with the pressure.. Ridley slowed as they approached the overturned cart. All thoughts of a race were lost as she came skidding to a stop, tires screeching. "Right you are, Cecil. Auras up, be ready. A bonfire festival sounds delightful, but I highly doubt that's what we're dealing with." Ridley might have been their leader, but she was a long way from bossy. She appreciated the individuality of each of her teammates. They each had something special to offer the team and she valued their input.
Without warning, Ridley had leapt off her bike just as quickly as she'djumped off of it to begin with. Booted feet stomped through the dirt, schelching in the blood. "I'm going to check for survivors, watch my back and be ready to ride once we're clear." The sheer destruction and vast puddles of blood left little hope that anyone could have survived what happened here. Even so, she wasn't about to give in to doubt and leave someone behind because of it. After all, more than once she had been in a sincere she easily could have been mistaken for dead, and lost her live because of it. Even now, the smoke burning her lungs, the fire in the distance, the blood. They were all reminders of that night, triggering a torrent of horrific images to flash behind her eyes. It didn't take long to establish that if anyone had survived this, they were no longer here. Sending her team a quick thumbs up she would race back to her bike, throwing a leg easily over the back of it and perching herself a top it once more. "We're getting close to the village, but we should proceed with caution. Shut the engines off once were close and coast in. We don't want to attract any unwanted attention." With that, her engine would roar to life and she was on her way once more. This time she proceeded with far less speed and left the silly tricks and stunts behind her. Golden orbs were restless, scanning the road and the darkness of the trees for signs of life, or danger. "We should try to gage the situation before we go rushing in." Surely these words sounded funny on the lips of such a brash and reckless girl. However, it was one thing for her to risk her own life by rushing in blindly. It was completely different to risk her teams life by doing just that.
"I'll take the lead, Cecil and Adam flank me, and Azura, you can cover us from behind." Of course, these were only temporary instructions. She still wasn't sure exaxtly what they were walking into, and while a plan was usually a good idea, Ridley would be the first to divert in order to save another life. After a few more minutes, the outlines of crumbling buildings came into view. Once they were close enough, she shut the engine off once more, locating for another moment before skillfully leaping off the bike and kicking the stand out. The helmet was quickly pulled from her head and hung over one of the handlebars. Silky dark locks were left wild and tangled about her face while what was left of her braid hung near her hip. Delicate fingers were quick to brush the stray steands out of her face and behind her ears before reaching to her hips. In one fluid motion, she would unsheath her dull blades, keeping them at the ready. With a final look towards her teammates, she'd given them a quick nod before starting forward towards the village.

Admiring his miraculous motorbike he ran his fingers along it's surface. "Cecil, you must frequent the public libraries more often." he stated with his index finger pointing to the sky. In a matter of factly voice he said, "The legends of my escapades go by many names. With just a bit of detective work you'll notice the links between all stories that involve me and the vast blue above us." he smiled. He looked to Azura with a wide grin. "I am the greatest toaster you will ever meet!" he proclaimed. Still balancing on one wheel he smirks to the golden girl, "The rider don't pick the bike. The bike pick the driver." he says paraphrasing a great man. "But I'll say this you're bike is almost as pretty as your eyes." he said slowly rolling on his one wheel. He rolled towards the start line lowering her wheel. He looked to his team, but mainly their leader. He revved once. Then twice. Held it and let it roar. "You heard the man, boss. 'Let's ride!'" he smirked. Before he could make tracks, a crimson blur shot past him. He looked back and noticed Azura was nowhere to be found. "Well, damn." he said a bit surprised and wide-eyed. While shook a bit everyone got a headstart on him. He couldn't help but love an underdog story. Not only that he roared over the comms, "That's the spirit Azura!" Then it hit him. The bragging right off winning was enticing enough and then she did it. "Ice cream?" he said. They were now several second ahead of him. He took a deep breath and exhaled. A haze pouring from beneath his helmet. He brought his engine to life and nearly leaving fire in his wake. Weaving through the trees and environment like a pro his eyes were focused. If they were to look back they wouldn't see him. Among the roars of their own engines, they wouldn't here him either. Over the mic he announced, "It's a bird! It's a plane! Naw! It's Adam coming to change the game!" If they were to look up they would see Adam used a conveniently place boulder as a ramp to catch up. He let go of his bike and held out his right arm while keeping his left to his chest to imitate a flying hero he saw on a comic book when he was younger. Smiling while looking forward he began his descent and grabbed onto his handlebars and positioned himself properly before landing. It was a bit rough as the bike struggled to steady itself, but Pink Drink was something to be feared. Catching up to his team he looked to his leader and saw a face she hasn't made in a while. Genuine happiness. This made him happy. Being with his team and having a good time. If only the entire world could be like this moment. Something was off. Steadily a splatter pattern made itself prominent as they approached an overturned cart. The sky darkened and the mood shifted, "Hmmm." Following suit of his team he screeched to a halt turning his bike to the left and kicking up dust. Engine purring he observed the scene. Adam took off his helmet and took a whiff of the air. Even without any faunus feature or specials traits you could smell it in the air. Blood. "There's more." he thought. Following his leader, the team continued to the village. Even through the helmet he could smell the smoke before he saw it. He kept his eyes peeled for survivors as they approached. "Definitely. No point in going in blind." he said. Ridley gave her orders and he got into position. "Waaay ahead of you, Ms. Thing." he said moving to her right. Once they were close enough he turned his engine off as he was instructed and coasts. Coming to a stop he jumps off the bike and pulls his helmet off. Shaking his head to put his locks in proper position, he places the helmet ontop the bike seat. He checked his pistols making sure they were locked and loaded before exchanging nods with his team continuing forward.

Cecil was still in the process of driving as everyone else caught up to where he was, a smile on his face hidden by his scarf as they drew closer to the location. As they passed the alpha point and the carts were found overturned and coated with Blood, Cecil tensed as the joke about a bonfire festival was made, causing him to chuckle under the scarf before he could hear Ridley and Adam's responses as Adam zipped on ahead while Ridley got up and onto her bike. "Careful captain, there could be grimm hiding in the wreckage ahead." He told her as Adam disembarked along with her along with Azura as Cecil moved on ahead just a bit further into the village before he turned his bike to the side to slow down, kicking up dirt in the process. He looked back to his team and watched as they were each getting back onto their bikes before they drove off once again, delving deeper into the village. The voices they spoke on the intercoms, meant that they were taking this seriously as they easily made their way into the village. He slowed down as he looked about, coasting on his bike like Adam did before he turned and got to a halt, dismounting the bike as he put the kick stand up for it to remain ready. He heard his leader's order and nodded his head as he responded back via the helmets intercom. "Roger, just don't get too careless now, otherwise you'll get sick again." He warned her, just like what happened last time.
He watched as Adam readied his pistols while he changed his weapon to have it in it's flintlock pistol and dagger state. "Azura, keep your eyes peeled behind you, ya never know when one will come out from behind." He warned her as they were getting prepared.

"Be careful." Azura echoed Cecil as Ridley jumped off her bike to go investigate some wreckage. As reckless as always, Azura thought, even after ending up in the hospital. Twice. Azura got off her bike as well and held her weapon at the ready. It wouldn't do Ridley any good if a Beowolf sprung from the wreckage and Azura was still straddling her motorcycle, unprepared for a fight. All was quiet though, and the quartet quickly mounted up once more, engines roaring to life. "I hope we aren't too late for the villagers." There was a lot of blood and a lot of smoke. They travelled a bit longer before Ridley shut her engine off and the other three followed suit. Soon, Azura was parked, with her helmet sitting on the seat of her bike like the others and they set out on foot.
Azura nodded, falling back behind the others. As their strongest ranged fighter, it only made sense. Knowing her weapon was one of the slower ones to transform, she took out Crimson Regret and set the weapon to rifle mode. "On it." She said when Cecil told her to watch behind them. In truth, she wanted to watch in front of them. Azura didn't like Ridley taking the lead, and she doubted Adam and Cecil did either based on their comments. She had to trust they would keep their fearless leader out of trouble while she watched their six. She walked backwards for a couple of steps every few seconds, sweeping the way behind them with those all too observant eyes. They didn't make it very far before movement caught her attention. She raised her weapon to look through the scope. "Boarbatusk up ahead. I see four." She said softly, so her voice wouldn't carry and alert the creaturs.
