Long ago, before the Angels and Demons rules Telrunya, there were the Ancients. The Ancients existed in peace, keeping balance in all things.
One sect of the Ancients, led by Arda himself, was entrusted with the duties to protect the earth and all that it represented. Born of the earth themselves, these Pae'il had a special form. They had come to be known as the Faun. Being half beast, and half Pae'il, they had created a thriving civilization located high in the snow covered peaks of Aura Nin.
After the untimely death of their leader, the remaining supporters and loyalists created an organization to preserve his training and ideals, so that future generations could continue to be educated in the ways of Chi. (Chi is what the ancients called the element of earth.)
The organization, Arda's Circle, worked to keep the Faun way of life in tact, as well as uphold Arda's teachings. Over the years, through many wars, the once great civilization fell, and the Capital was abandoned.
Faun disappeared, but did not die out. The unborn remain, to this day, still protected and hidden away.
Undiscovered by today's modern Pae'il, the ruins of the Faun Capitol slowly been eroding away because of the harsh winds and extreme temperatures at the high altitudes. The Guardians, like with the other Capitals, commissioned the fae to rebuild the Great Meeting Hall, to give the new members of Arda's Circle a place to gather.
About Arda:
Arda was a stubborn and strong leader. He was feared for his strength, but loved for his confidence in his pae as well as himself. He taught his pae to be strong, and confident and to uphold traditions. He was not one to take to change easily. He, like Naur, fought valiantly till the very end.

In his past life, Daeron was the Protecting Spirit of Aura Nin Mountain. He was created to serve and protect the isle and its inhabitants for eternity.
In his Spirit form, Daeron has many powers and abilities that he was granted to aide him in his post. He was usually quiet and shy, chosing to observe those that ventured onto the highest mountain on Telrunya. He learned a lot about the Pae'il by watching those that chose to dwell on the mountain. He even came to think of many of them as his family, as he spent much time with them, even if they did not know of his presence within their home.
Like many spirits, Daeron longed to know what it was like to be mortal. To be able to actually feel things like the wind, or the rough surface of a rock or even to know what it felt like to be burned. But most of all, he yearned to know what it was like to be in love. Yes, a romantic at heart, Daeron witness many a relationship blossom and bloom on this mountain.
Torn between his impossible dream, his duty to serve, and his passion to protect, Daeron had a hard time accepting the Guardian's offer to have a mortal pae body. He had to have the reassurance that the Pae'il would be safe if he left his post.
Daeron was unaware of the Guardian's real purpose in doing what they did, but accepted anyway, on the promise that this mortal experience would strengthen him in ways he never could imagine.
Even after appearing on the summat of Aura Nin and taking his first breath of air with his new lungs, Daeron continued to patrol the mountain to make sure all is well.
Right now, Daeron's life is full of 'firsts' including recently, his first kiss. That's right, he's living a dream he thought he never would have a chance to.

Mountain Crystal
A special gift given to him by the Guardians themselves, to congratulate him on his new body. He does not know what it does, only assumes its a nice adornment. However, the Guardians gave him this crystal for a reason. More to come as its learned....

Daeron is the Protecting Spirit of Aura Nin Mountain, in a Pae'il body.
Why is the spirit of Telrunya's tallest mountain now in a Pae body you ask? Simple: The Guardians did it.
But to make a short story long:
There has been uneasiness in the air around the floating isle. A sense of something bad lurking on the horizon. The Guardians sense this. They also have noticed certain changes around the isle as well. The weird snow at Christmastime being the major sign.
There are 5 Protecting Spirits on the isle, making sure there is balance in all things. They work silently, harmoniously. They are very important to the survival of the isle.
The Guardians know there is trouble lurking, and this trouble seems to be targeting the isle itself, not the inhabitants, so in order to protect those that protect the Pae, The Guardians have granted each of the 5 a mortal body to 'hide' in. However, They have not informed the Spirits this is why they are getting Pae bodies. They don't want to alarm them. The Spirits will be coming to the isle as they are needed, and soon, all five will be living the mortal experience in a Pae body. Giving them the chance to experience life, as they never had before.
Aura Nin Mountain: (earth) - A strong, noble spirit, embodied in Daeron [played by Antidia]
Tuatha Ri Lake: (water) - An elegant, compassionate spirit embodied in Nomia [played by Antidia]
Loka Nei Forest: (void/magic) - A brave, intelligent spirit embodied in Nienna [played by Krista DarkAngel Silme]
To'ul Mountain: (wind) - A protective and loving spirit embodied in Kethara [played by Eirnae Slytherin-Natenhar]
Dragnid Forest: (fire) - A trickster [played by Torvil Rakamash]
PLEASE NOTE: These Five Fae Pae are borderline NPC characters. They will be pulled into plot often, and what they do is important. However, they do have individual players breathing life into them, so they will also be casually interacting with the rest of the Pae'il on Telrunya. They will live their own lives, fall in love, have their own families even. But in the end, they will come together again as the Protecting Spirits of Telrunya. ((mwahahah ... you'll have to stay tuned to the plot to find out how that happens))
