A few weeks had already passed since Winter told her about the application he had sent in requesting a home outside the barracks, one that could be renovated with more space, an actual kitchen and bathrooms that aren’t shared with anyone else. It had been approved, however, money was still needed in order to pay for the labor and materials to fix the ruined structure.

Until now everything she earned or saved either went towards paying the storage locker fees where her furniture and belongings were kept from before she was turned into a half youma; food or activities when she went out with Winter, Kat or Samir; or was set aside for the small vacation her and Wolframite had planned since September.

Unfortunately, as it stood, opportunities for work as a lieutenant that lacked the ability to teleport on her own, and a half-youma who could only hold a glamour for at most three hours a day, was wildly limiting. There were few requests to assist a couple of Generals with paperwork or minor research; the cafeteria, castle and even barracks bathrooms could always use some cleaning but what she really wanted was a job with people she could talk to and make connections with, not continue to be stuck here in the Dark Kingdom, a place she lived and trained already. What she needed was a little bit of freedom and a change of scenery.

And so, as Laven sat on her bed, back propped up against the wall with Hati, the purple wolf stuffed animal Winter had won her, draped over her lap, she opened her tablet and started to search through some of the applications she hadn’t really paid much attention to before.

“Information Request...” She tapped the screen which opened up an application type form. At the top, there was a dropdown menu, likely to help make sure it got sent to the right department; Information, Research, Directory, Information… The list went on and at the bottom there was Other.

My name is Lieutenant Lavendulan, I am a half-youma living in the barracks.

For the past several months I have been working under Captian Lopezite. With his help, along with Captain Wolframite, a half-youma as well, and Captain Tinakstite, I have been doing my best to fulfill my quota requirements to the best of my abilities.

In the time where I am unable to leave the Dark Kingdom, I was wondering if there are currently any research projects centered around extending the duration of glamour without needing to rely on energy orbs. If so, I would like to volunteer my extra time to further develop anything that could be used as a substitute for the energy that should be instead turned over to my Captian instead.

With an extended glamour, my hope is to be able to connect with other officers outside of the Dark Kingdom and look into a part-time job so that I am not a drain on Negaverse resources.

After re-reading her request she finally just closed her eyes and hit submit otherwise she was likely to cancel and delete the whole request.

“Now to just wait… I guess.” Laven shifted from where she was sitting to lay on her side with Hati as her pillow until Wolframite got back. For now, there wasn’t much for her to do unless she wanted to go train for a bit, but right now going to the dentist sounded like more fun.

Just a small nap then I’ll reach out to Tinaksite when I wake up, see what her plans are for Thanksgiving. I think she should be powered up about then. With that in mind, she set her tablet next to her, in case she received a message, and closed her eyes to rest for a little while.
