 Grim was disappointed with herself with the lack of smacking things with her club of a scythe. Really, had she scared everyone away from her? She just wanted to bludgeon them until they either passed out of were rendered of the dead. The reaper needed his quota of souls and the well had become dry as of late. Stomping through the trees, muddy colored eyes glared at everything around as critters too small to even consider fun, scampered off from sight. There had to be someone around that she could 'have fun' with. Stopping near the edge of a vast clearing as the sun raged over head, glaring down at her failure. The bright green mare flapped black wings while screaming over the hunk of wood in her mouth. Not long after she stopped screaming she twisted around and swing her 'club' with all her might. Sending it spinning through the air in some random direction. With a snort, not even watching where the wood had taken flight to, Wings of Grim glared at the ground, her ears listening for a scream. Hoping that her club would find something to hit on its own after being swung into the distance.

 Sootface had wandered away from his currently family group in search of entertainment. He'd donned his wolf form and took off at a trot through the woods and open pockets. It was pretty quiet today, not much to do. Just meant he'd have to travel farther today. Well so be it. He kept his nose low to the ground and his eyes scanning around him. Some birds suddenly flew up in agitation and Sootface's head came up and his ears swiveled forward. His nose scented the air and he trotted forward and hopped up onto a large boulder. Something bright green was in the clearing, looked like another star. He sat down and watched the star at frustrated and throw something that whizzed by him. His heterochromia eyes went wide and he looked behind him. Some odd shaped...stick? was laying on the ground behind him. His head swiveled back around and looked over at the star. "Nice throw, but if you where aiming at something... I think you missed," he called over to them.

While it was not the sounds of someone crying out in pain, it certainly was a voice of someone talking to her. Grim turned her head ever so slightly to look at the owner of this voice with a muddy colored eye. She was all but grinding her teeth knowing that she had missed. Missed! For the love of all things dead and rotting she had missed! Well, this was something new and she was not in the least bit pleased about it. Expression changing she turned on a hoof and ambled towards the wolf, her head low as she approached.
"Such a pity. Though, then again, if I had, I would have ruined that pretty fur of yours." Her voice giving off a sickeningly sweet tone, that did nothing for who she was. "Perhaps I should try again, this close a distance I wouldn't miss."
Stepping past the wolf's perch, Grim headed to where her 'scythe' had landed. She stopped almost atop it and looked down at the darkened wood. The thinner end riddled with tooth marks as she had carried it around as such and at times just chewed on it when she was bored. Reaching down she hauled it back up, the larger club like end still dragging the ground, it was a wonder she was able to throw such a stick at all. But with practice she was getting even better.
Turning back towards her onlooker, those muddy eyes judging the distance between them. It wasn't too much, she thought maybe she could just club this one and be on her way. But.... Where was the 'fun' in that?

Sootface tilted his head at the odd mare and just watched her. Her behavior was certainly suspicious and although she spoke "politely" to him, he knew she was luring him into a false sense of security. Everything he'd been through since he was a small foal helped him be able to navigate sticky situations. But while his sister avoided them, he had a bad habit of seeking them out for pure entertainment value. Well, right he here was certainly a chance for some fun.
He watched the mare move towards the object that she threw and he eyed it curiously. Seemed like an odd object for a star to carry around unless they used it for nefarious reasons. It did look like a crude weapon of sorts, but she just threw it. He caught her looking back at him and he tilted his head curiously.

Black wings fluttered over her back as Grim heaved the large club like branch up and dragged it unceremoniously back towards where she had left the wolf star. Stopping a scant distance away from them, she pulled the branch up so that she could lean it against her side. She was a little unnerved by this ones silence. Was he really wanting to become a new pelt for her home of sorts? A new wall hanging or rug that she could sleep upon? Narrowing muddy orange eyes at the wolf star she frowned.
"What is ticking through that skull of yours? Are you not scared of becoming a pelt?" She questioned, stretching her head closer, eyes narrowing ever so slightly more.
Grim couldn't put her hoof on it, but there was something not right here. While the gears were slow to turn and it was slowly drawing towards a conclusion, but Grim didn't like this prickling that was building. It was coming to that this star was not scared of her, a reaper of sorts. While yes she did beat those she came across, to death, there was little that caused her to pause and this was one of those few moments.
