Life was a truly wonderful thing and Kraniea for one always enjoyed the little things it had to offer. It had given her Sakura for one, and she quite enjoyed the larger males company every now and again, he sung beautifully and told wonderful tales so it kept her entertained.

Where he was at the moment, she wasn't sure so the field she was occupying was all hers, for the time being. Flicking her tail behind her gleefully she sniffed some of the flowers that were still in full bloom and contemplated what she might eat for dinner later.

Thoughts drifting she wasn't really paying much mind to what else was going on around her. Letting out a happy sigh she danced about in a rather joyous manner, humming to herself a little song she'd made up.

The day dawned bright and clear with a slight chill in the air. The mico raptor watched as his daughter bounced excitedly in place waiting for him. A passing traveler had told stories of a magic meadow not far from where they currently stood. When she had heard the stories Venus had desperately wanted to go there so they had traveled a few days journey from their home to the beginning of the path leading to the meadow. Having arrived late the night before Lok decided it was best they bed down here and wait till morning before venturing down the path.

As soon as the sun started to rise Venus was up and staring at him waiting for him to wake. He woke far earlier then he would have liked not liking the feeling of eyes on him as he slept. After a breakfast of apples it was now time to start the last leg of their adventure.

Stepping onto the path Lok looked down at his daughter. "Stay close to me," he said without much hope she would listen, she was much to excited to. Walking slowly down the path he kept his senses alert. While he didn't believe the meadow was magic he was sure someone or something lived there. He hoped whoever or whatever it was was friendly for Venus sake more than his own.

After some time passed Lok frowned, the traveler had made it sound as if the path was rather short but they had been walking for hours by now. Glancing down at the slowly tiring filly he decided it was time for a rest. When he received no objection from Venus he knew it was the right call. Looking around he found a grassy spot not far off the path and guided his daughter over to it.

Laying down on the grass he tucked Venus against his side for a nap. As his little princess slept he thought back to when she had first popped out of her basket. He and Valkyrie had both been shocked by the spirit touched foal. Her tail was not a normal tail but a living plant instead, a venus flytrap to be exact. And it tended to have a mind of its own. A laugh escaped him as he remembered some of the mischief her tail had gotten itself into.

Lost in his memories he failed to notice gentle humming being carried by the wind. The filly haven woken from her nap did notice the humming and jumped up from her napping spot ears perked and eyes wide. She took off down the path following the sound. The sudden movement and loss of warmth at his side jolted the stallion up. 'Venus!" he shouted before taking off after her.

Running down the path in a desperate attempt to catch up to the filly he reached the end and stepped into the meadow just in time to watch his daughter run head first into a small pink Dryad.

Something or some one collided into her and she should have heard them coming but sometimes she just got lost in her own thoughts and everything else would just fade away. She could not ignore the feeling of a small form colliding into her body and it caused her to side step a few paces as she regained her footing and cocked her head curiously to peer down at what had run into her.

Much to her surprise it was a young filly, and she was quite precious at that! Her tail flicked gleefully as a smile spread across her lips and a voice called out, clearly towards the young female that was before her. "Venus is it? I have to say, there are less abrupt ways to meet someone but I think it will do." Not at all upset by the encounter she raised her eyes to look at who called out towards the unique child to see an even more unique adult male running this way.

"She belong to you?" Curious to know more about the duo that had made their way into her midst.
