So, as many of you know, I'm getting married in about a year. I'm looking for some easy to make, low cal food so that I can hopefully loose some of this excess weight I've put on this year. I've started an exercise regimen, now I need to make a diet that'll work for me. If you have any recipe's that are great tasting and low calorie put them here, I'll love you forever. heart


P.S. I do indeed love salads, so salad recipe's are just peachy by me as long as they're filling. (the hard part)

Diets are s**t.

DDR is the way to go. I've lost like.. roughly 20 pounds in two weeks. Along with staying away from bread and s**t like that...

I'm not going on a diet per se, just trying to be healthier with my meals. I've already started the exercise part. 3nodding

Well.. Stay away from "Bread, Rice, Grease, If you are going to buy beef or what ever.. Make sure There is absolutely 20% of fat in it.. Make sure you cannot see it.. If you have to buy it.. cut it off..

Chicken is the best way to go.. because most chicken is VERY lean.. And have like.. 0% of fat on it once you cook it.

Try to have your daily intake of omega 3.. That will help your metabolisim..

Try not to order food.. or go out to eat because at resturaunts..
They just make your food.. They do not care if it is lean or not.. Even if you ask for it lean.. They don't do anything..

I believe you already know 75% of this stuff. But it's just a guide line mrgreen

You know they eat a LOT of rice in asian cultures and are still thin because they eat it in moderation.

Here's a salad recipe for you ^___^
Sorry I don't have any measurements, this is just how I do it lol.

Ingrediants:

-Fresh spinach (or whatever your favorite kind of lettuce/leafe is lol They usually sell these in a bag ^^)
-A jar of artichoke hearts (Marinated or non your choice)
-Can of beats
-Tomatoe
-Cucumber

- Fill up a standard bowl with lettuce of choice (Not a large bowl. Peferably a Soup bowl or salad bowl.. whatever ^__^)
- Drain the beats and add a few to the lettuce (However many you want, they're pretty good for you ^__^)
- Depending on the size of the artichoke hearts you got (Jar and vegetable wise) you can use half a jar. If you got a small jar then go ahead and use them all ^__^
- Slice up half a tomatoe and add it
- Cut up a fair amount of cucumber and add it

This is pretty good with either ranch dressing or italian. ^__^ Enjoy!

Also another good thing to know is that it takes more calories to digest a strawberry than a strawberry has. So eat many strawberries!! blaugh

Like LukeWulfe said, people is Asia eat rice and they're still thin, cause they eat really slowly. Dont ask exactly how it works cause I dont know but I do know it works.

Whoop! I love strawberries. As for artichoke hearts, which would you reccomend? I've never had them before.

I recommend the marinated ones, that is if you like italian dressing or vinegar. If not then the unmarinated ones are just fine lol ^_^
They usually come in a jar, I'm sure you could get a can of them too, but not as good in my opinion.

Or if you're not looking to make a salad and just want a vegetable for a side dish. You can buy them whole (They look like - User Image incase you did not know lol)
Check the stem and make sure it's not brown. They take about... 20 minutes to boil (The stem should be soft, check it with a fork. If it's soft then it's done ^_^)
We usually dip the leaves in lemon and melted butter. (Don't eat the whole leaf >_< sweatdrop and the center is the best part in my opinion ^___^)

I have a book that tells you how to lose weight and stay fit without having to go on diets. Here are some tips.
-Exercise every day. Even walking for an hour helps you a lot
-Eat dinner before six. It helps
-Dont go on diets. Studies show that it can actually make you gain weight
-Dont drink soda. Soda is known as liquid candy. Even diet soda is very bad
-Eat fruits, fish, and vegetables
-Drink plenty of water
-You should sleep about eight hours every night. The more you sleep, the less you're hungary. The less hungary you are, the less you eat when you really dont have to.

If you decide to diet, that is and cant fit into the size wedding dress you want...

Its supposed to work. I dont know yet because my parents might think i am weird for eating only cabbage soup and probably think I have an eating disorder but yeah biggrin

You're right! I'm eating very slowly ever since I was a little child, and I'm very thin. All of my family thinks I eat nothing!! sweatdrop
