Prompt #3 You notice a black cat with what looks to be some kind of marking on its forehead, which in Destiny City is not an uncommon occurrence. It appears to be opening its mouth as though speaking, though no sounds come out. The cat entices you to follow it both by its silence and strange energy signature, and you don’t quite seem to be going anywhere in particular, but you feel compelled to see where this journey will end. As the small creature gets to a shadow filled area, it turns and gives a final audible meow before seeming to melt into the shadows. All searching yields no results the cat is simply not there…perhaps this wasn’t such a normal occurrence after all! It was that signature again, that weird little blip that she couldn't quite put her finger on. At this stage she was fairly confident she was hallucinating but she was determined to get to the bottom of it. No sooner had she caught the faint 'ping' than she was off to find it, tasked with locating whatever 'it' was. The first time she had sensed it had resulted in her stumbling upon something that looked like a Mauvian but when she had made to follow it... Well, it had led her all over the place and then gone.
Whatever the ping was it was weird, now familiar, but still disconcerting as she marched with purpose towards it, arms swinging in the manner of a spoilt toddler. Turning the corner, she swung on her heel and finally turned to face whatever the ping might be, lips parting in surprise as she noted that on this occasion it was -
"You again!" she motioned to the strange cat and shook his head. Just like the last time its mouth was moving, almost attempting to converse and yet failing miserably. Her nose wrinkled as she observed it, but no sooner had she paused to stare than it had started that thing again.
It was moving away; purposefully looking back towards her, purposefully beckoning and for reasons beyond her comprehension (and despite what little better judgement she had), she was following it again...

The whole signature thing was strange to Fettelite. He could feel them, know which ones were good, and which ones were bad, but this one was just weird. Ignoring the weirdness of that aura, it was a cat! A cute cat, all black with bright eyes, and mouthing at him as if it was trying to say something.
"Huh...?" Maybe that last hit in the head his general gave him before he left the the Negaverse on his own! ON HIS OWN! What an exciting thought! He could teleport now, and had a cool weapon and just... Things were looking up!
Lost in his day dream for a moment, the cat scurried away.
"W-wha? No! Come back kitty, I can help!" Help with what, who knows, but he still stumbled after it. How could a cat be so fast?!
Over bushes, under streetlights, and then through a tunnel in the park, before it finally stopped.
"Geesh, kitty, you sure can run.." Even with this newfound power, Fettel got winded, hands on his knees and panting while trying to catch his breath. Looking around, he realized this part of the park was new. Was there always a bridge here? Or these weirdly spooky lights? Or a senshi who's signature he hadn't noticed before?
Wait.... WAIT A SENSHI?!
"Y-you!" It wasn't an accusation, or a threat, or anything exception of surprise, and then only a moment passed before he grinned at what she saw, and waved at her. "Hi! Hello! Did you see a cat?"

"Ah!" She yelled.
She hadn't sensed him either; she'd been so distracted by the weird cat's signature that Fettel had crept up on her. Well not crept, he'd been just as subtle as she had, bounding in unceremoniously and with much the same bravado that would have complimented her. A shame they were on opposing sides, they might have made for quite the overly enthusiastic team.
However as it stood, she picked up the nearest thing (a small, palm sized stone) and threw it towards him. It was an instinctual response and she hadn't been aiming, but the stone would probably sail in his general direction anyway.
"Oh christ, sorry!" She yelped and glanced at her hand before looking back towards him.
Had she seen a cat? Wait yes, yes she had.
"Did you lose it?" She asked. "The cat that is, is it yours?" She added.

"Ah!" Fettelite yelped right back, startled but not afraid. That was until a stone was chucked at him. And as luck would have it, it bounced right off the top of his head, knocking his hat off and sending him tumbling backwards.
"O-Ow..." Immediately his hands came up to his head, pressing down on the spot that was hurting really badly through his white hair. "Ow ow ow ow...."
He certainly wasn't much of a captain, what with him squatting on the ground and grabbing his head as pain, and a little bump, appeared on his head.
"Ow... Ow... why did you do that....?" There was an obvious answer to that question. She did it to him because he was 'scary'. Not literally, no, but his energy was scary, being part of the Negaverse.
"No... No, not my cat but... Ow..."

He was about as threatening as she was, they were probably both as useful as a chocolate fireguard and in the grand scheme of things neither of them was particular imposing. There would have to be a seismic shift for Adorea to become that way anyway, but it still remained to be seen what would become of Fettelite!
"Ah..." she winced as she watched him crouch. "Force of habit," she admitted and lowered herself into a crouch. She hadn't walloped him as hard as some others probably could have but it was definitely a fairly big rock and still would have hurt.
"You folks tend to have a habit of not being so nice," she added and shook her head. "But uh..." She leaned forward slightly and held out a hand to try and push away one of his. If she could inspect that bump then maybe there was something she could do. Hadn't Brioche mentioned she should try to find someone friendly and possible willing?
"I might be able to help though," she mused.
"Why were you looking for the cat anyway?" she wrinkled her nose. "If we're talking about the same one that thing is unlucky as hell."

"Mmm..." He half whined as she moved his hands away. Fettelite certainly didn't want a fight, and the girl seemed apologetic for what she had done, so there was no harm in letting her look... Right?
There was a bump, and a tiny bit of red staining his white hair, but he would be just fine. In pain for a while but still fine.
"Help...? You mean with like, senshi magic?" From the reports he had seen before, the senshi's magic could be literally anything! From raining frogs, to giant hammers... A little healing magic would be nice. "If you can help, I'd appreciate it... I was looking cuz it wanted me to. It looked like it had something to say, but couldn't say it so I just.. You know... Wanted to help."

"I mean, it's about all it's good for," She shrugged. Adorea had made no secrets of her mild disdain for her own abilities. In a world where she needed to be able to defend herself she had yet to fully appreciate the extent of her own abilities and the value they could bring. The fact that she couldn't shoot laser beams or lightning was something that left her with a great deal of envy but when duty called...
Well, for once she had a purpose.
"Mine fixes things like this," She leaned to one side to inspect where she had walloped him, a sound blow to say the least and shook her head. "Looks like you're pretty sturdy though," she added with a smile and shook her head. "Not that I should be complimenting that in case it's conditioned...but still."
At his explanation she glanced over her shoulder to where the cat might once have stood and pursed her lips.
"I've learned to give that thing a healthy dose of caution," she added and released a sigh. "I've seen that thing about three times and none of them have ended up being good in the end," she admitted. Although, most of the encounters had ended okay, she just hadn't enjoyed them for the most part.
"Although maybe it would respond better to someone like you," she acknowledged and raised a brow. "Did it work or did it just poof like it did to me? I had figured it was anti senshi to be honest," she smiled.
"This shouldn't hurt by the way, I was told it shouldn't so it better not, otherwise I'll be having some stern words."

"Healing is very important! I don't think the Negaverse has enough of it, honestly. Lots of us just get hurt and stay hurt because we don't have nice allies like you." Despite probably needing to know better than to expose his neck to a senshi, Fettelite gave in easy to those gentle touches to his scalp. After it already seemed like she wasn't going to hurt him further, he relaxed, and tried to ignore the pulsing feel of the bump on his head.
"Someone like me? Hmm... No, I don't think it did anything bad, it was just leading me around... Then again, I did get bonked on the head with a rock so maybe it was a little bad luck? But then again, that's not his fault! Or hers, or whatever the thing is! Just bad timing I think. No harm no foul!"

She half smiled, why was it that she kept running in to people like this? Granted Fettelite seemed a bit more light-hearted and merry than the others, but she had yet to meet anyone who genuinely seemed worth fighting. Beyond the obvious difference in opinion when it came how best to treat the innocent i.e. don't suck the life out of people, they seemed perfectly pleasant.
"I don't know your kind seem to have a knack for making things that screw around with people like me," she pointed out with a wry smile. Rather than push him over it, she simply made a small murmur that seemed to be akin to Adorea Optimistic Smile and with that, her smile deepened. There was a warmth to it, one that implied everything would be fine and gradually his wounds(small as they were) would begin to seal up and be not quite as painful.
...Oh he might still get a mild pulse of his headache but not nearly as bad as before.
"And it seems largely contradictory to have people like me in your ranks," she shrugged her shoulders. "Healers aren't exactly meant to do harm and you guys spend most of your time doing exactly that to innocent people, I can't say the two disciplines compliment each other," she admitted with a chuckle.
"Feel a little better?" she asked curiously, unsure if her abilities had taken hold.

"... I don't think I can deny that. Those monsters we make, the youma, they don't listen to anyone unless you're really strong. And they don't really care about us people-people, you know? They just wanna eat energy, and that's all that matters to them." And starseeds. They most definitely wanted to eat starseeds. And those things were basically souls, so.... It was more than a little scary.
But he didn't really want to think about it, instead allowing himself to focus on those hands in his hair and the feeling of warmth that seemed to come over him.
"Hmm... Well, that's true too... But even typical human wars had battlefield medics, right?" It was such a gentle feeling, a resounding knowledge of just how everything would be alright echoed in his head... It nearly brought more tears to his eyes, as he was constantly filled with worries and anxieties over so many things at once...
He wasn't going to cry though. Fettelite was surely tougher than that!
"I do! I feel alot better. Kinda like... A weight has been taken off my shoulders... Is that what your power does? Make all the worries go away?"

"Generally yeah, they did," she agreed and shook her head. "But they were and still are expected to flag anything that would even remotely resemble a war crime and uh," she motioned to nothing in particular, perhaps in reference to his description of Youma instead. She'd seen those who weren't youma do it to and with little more than the excuse that a beast needed fed.
Whatever their cult worshiped, they seemed to park any and all concept of ethics and humanity at the door. They got their's, so screw everyone else, right? Based on his own demeanor he was yet another one that didn't seem to quite fit, but then again, it also didn't seem to be that he'd been forced into it either.
Naivety maybe?
She wasn't sure but now didn't seem like the time to have philosophical discussions about someone's motivations for joining a vampyric cult.
"And even those medics make an oath not to do harm, it takes a particular type of person to stand back and let harm happen while they watch," she stood up and offered her hand to Fettelite with a wry smile. "Rather goes against the code expected of them if they're only out to look after their side and not everyone's; that and they're supposed to treat the other side that they're fighting if necessary as well." she pointed out.
There was a pause and she shrugged.
"Allowing someone to murder someone in front of you, or torture and maim them, is most certainly not ok."
As for her powers, she glanced at her free hand and shook her head, truthfully... she hadn't actually known the full extent of what her abilities were supposed to do.
"Maybe they do?" she smiled. "I've never really had the chance to ask someone who was legitimately hurt, last time this happened it was a test and it fixed a Mauvian's split ends," she admitted.

"Mm..." He didn't like thinking about the Negaverse. It was all bad things, bad people, things that caused pain and forced people to hate the ones around them.
Fettelite knew his previous life before the fire wasn't a particularly good one, but he could be happy then. Or atleast pretend to be.
Now, even forcing a smile came harder and harder.
"... You're right, it's not okay, but sometimes, we have no choice... And even when told 'yes you do have a choice, you can be 'good' if you want to, then you can... Just end up dead. I don't really want to think about it, if that's okay..." While the worries he had slipped away for a bit, it felt like even now they were coming back, dragging him deeper into that hole of anxiousness he always seemed to be struggling to crawl out of.
"You have a really nice power, but I really don't want to keep wasting your night if you've got somewhere else to be."

She'd heard that a lot from these people, all those that didn't really 'fit' as it were. Every time she had managed to find an opening to challenge them they always came back with that 'choice' thing, when push came to shove, when you were in there it seemed like it took a certain type of person to get back out.
...The more she listened, the more she realised that it couldn't just be the person, it had to be the people that helped them too. If they were going to take that plunge then they needed to have that network around them to reassure them that they and those they loved wouldn't be alone and vulnerable again.
Right now that wasn't something she could provide.
"It's ok," she said with a small smile. "I think I'm starting to understand it a little better," she admitted gently. She didn't go in to detail, but there it was, the guy before her seemed genuinely nice and as it stood, this was just the way things were for him and it wasn't right to push him on it. In the grand scheme of things that would make it even worse and really, he didn't deserve that.
"It's nice to see that I can actually do something with it for once," she added with a chuckle and a small shrug. "Can't really use it on myself so I've never really had the chance," she cleared her throat and paused briefly.
"But I think if you're going to be chasing after that cat again I might have to leave you to it, not sure I would go four for four on that thing with it throwing my trouble that way," she admitted. "But you might be fine... although if it says something useful maybe you can let me know?"
"...I'm kind of curious as to what it's trying to do but the definition of madness is doing something over and over again with the same result and four times might be pushing it," she finished, her smile morphing into a bit of a grin.
It was his opening to run if he wanted, though at least he could be safe in the knowledge that he wouldn't be hurt regardless of his choice, she wasn't really the type when it came to that.

”You can’t use it on yourself...? That seems pretty sucky, especially if you got hurt one day and needed some help. I hope atleast you can find someone like a partner or something that can help you just as much as you can help others.” As much as the Negaverse pushed for teams and organization, he didn’t have any real teammates of his own.
And there wasn’t much hope that he would soon either.
It didn’t matter in the end. He wasn’t dead, and he could keep working towards getting a little stronger. Bit by bit he’d get better. Even now he was feeling better, enough so that he stood up properly and stretched nice and long before looking around to see if he could see that cat he was chasing.
“Yeah... Maybe 4 is unlucky. If I see you again, I’ll be sure to let you know if he’s a good guy! But you take care tonight, okay? Sometimes the dark has a lot more scary things than you think!”

"I mean I could smile internally at myself but I doubt it would have the same affect," she chuckled at the thought. If she could self-heal then she would be in much better shame, some of her injuries would have been a lot less severe and she wouldn't have spent all of her time recovering. Ah, but perhaps in another life she might be reborn with the ability to make a healing pulse that did hit her as well.
"I'm hoping someday I find someone nice to hang about with and do all the things," she added and waved her hand. Evidently her success had not been forthcoming, suffice it to say that while the Negaverse pushed for a more structured team-based vibe...The White Moon seemed to have defaulted to 'wing it' and 'it will probably work out in the end'... Neither of which seemed to be leading to much success.
History was written by the victors after all and as it stood, her kind were the 'bad guys' in this city.
"That would be neat though," she pulled out her phone and then shook her head. "I'd say call me but somehow I don't think that'll work," she admitted and gave it a wave. "But if you do find out and we find each other again it'd be neat to find out what happened. If you find out the secret I'd like to hear it at some point," she slipped her phone away as she finished.
"I'll look after myself though, you make sure you do the same ok? Make sure to duck the next rock that comes flying and all that..."
