As usual, Nix was directing his attention at helping other senshi...although today, it was a bit different, as he'd agreed to keep an eye on a chibi senshi, Leaena. They'd met before, of course, so he was happy to go along with it. And, of course, Nix being Nix, his immediate suggestion once somewhere far enough away from prying eyes was, "Let's do some training! How 'bout it? You should show me what you got!"

Tolin Kalin Thank you and is this ok? They were in a shaded area of Destiny City Park. Leaena giggled. She looked around and saw lots of tall trees. Like 30 footers or more. They seemed really strong as well. That gave her an idea. "Hmm." She looked at Nix. He seemed like he would be good at it too. "For training, would you like to climb these trees?" She looked mischievously at him.

Nix looked up at them a brief moment, then nodded. "Sure, that works, though, how about we make it a little tougher...I'll bet you could jump most of the way up if you tried." He tapped his chest with a thumb. "I sure could, after all!"

Leaena quickly found the two tallest trees, easily over 50 feet tall and said, "These two. The first one to jump to the top of their tree?" Leaena looked. The tops were not visible, and therefore, neither could see whose was tallest... She grinned mischievously at that. She let out a sort of cat purr and waited for his answer.

"Works for me," Nix replied with a grin and a nod, looking up. Truth be told, he wasn't too worried about winning or not. He was more concerned with seeing how the little senshi did it, and offer advice if needed... But, a good proper opponent was the best way to do well, he figured, so... "Let's get right to it!" He got into a 'runner's start' sort of pose, and said, "On your mark! Get set!" A pause, of course. "Go!" he declared, waited a split second, and then jumped into the lowest branch.

Leaena had been a little annoyed when they told her she was going to have a sitter. She had just turned eleven after all, and was a senshi after all, even if it was at Chibi level. Etamin and Pasithee had tried to tell her that it was for Mom and Dad's sake; that after losing Pasithee for 4 years they couldn't bear losing another child. That didn't make it any better. But... This did. Sailor Nix was Awesome! He was almost like a Chibi himself! She grinned! She got into a running start herself, and crouched almost like a cheetah. The muscles rippled in her smaller body as if ready to pounce. As soon as she heard the word "GO!", she leaped a good 50 feet up the tree and held on.

Nix was jumping from branch to branch pretty rapidly, but still taking it fairly easy. Leaena, however, clearly didn’t have any chill about this, and leapt as high as she could. “Oh!” He let out, and jumped up a moment later. “Nice job!” He called out happily. “Looks like you’ve been practicing hard!” He was leaning away from the tree, with one hand and one foot securely on it, and it was clearly bending a bit...Perhaps this was a bit high up. He’d stay there for a moment longer, at least...

Leaena breathed heavily as she held on tight to the the branches. She had quite literally put just about everything into one jump. She had taken the challenge to mean ' in one jump'. As Sailor Nix was making lots of smaller jumps, obviously he took it to mean something different. Leaena gave a little cry as her grip started to slip. She scrabbled weakly for a new one, but didn't have enough strength.

"Oop!" Nix let out as Leaena lost her grip, and without hesitating jumped away from his treetop (with a crack of the top breaking from the force) straight at her. He snatched her out of the air, and started to drop. "Hold on," he said quickly and calmly. A moment later, he stuck his tongue out, and a big ethereal tongue materialized...and hit another tree nearby before yanking both of them over to it. It disappeared right as he grabbed onto a big branch and flopped onto it. "You okay?" he asked, loosening his grip so she could wriggle into sitting on the branch, or whatever else.

Leaena wriggled onto the tree branch and breathed heavily. "Now I am, thank you- oh no!" The limb that broke from Nix's jump was falling right toward him. She gathered her strength, and use her only attack: Chibi Sailor Scout Attack: Cheetah Cub She slaps the ground and rises into the Cheetah stance. At the same time, she calls out "Cheetah Cub". An energy 'Cub' flies out and attacks. Range: 5-6 ft. Minimum Damage from scratches. Lasts a maximum of 10 seconds if doesn't reach target. 3 Uses. The energy cub turned the limb to sawdust. Leaena was exhausted.

Nix was a bit startled by the sudden use of powers, but looked up (and shielded his eyes from bits flying about). "Huh, good hit!" he said, and gave her a thumbs up. "Well done!" He hopped down out of the tree completely, then, and looked up. "I'll bet you can't catch me and land a hit, though!" he declared patting his chest lightly. It sounded fun, and she seemed the sort to want to give chase like this. Cheetah, after all! He'd certainly give her a run for her money for a while first, though! Sailor Hawk Also happens to need to have some kind of intentional contact like getting a hit in to actually count as a battle. smile

Energy surged through Leaena as her second wind kicked in. She raced down the tree on all fours, her fur coat rippling, and her tail sash held strangely high behind her. Leaping branch to branch, she made her way down, and finally made to pounce on him.

The girl’s moving down the tree was...unusual to say the least, but out was definitely cute, and effective. Still, she went straight line, and he was watching, so as she pounced, he leapt to the side, a big grin on his face. “Too slow!” He declared as she very narrowly missed. “C’mon, you can do better than that!”

Leaena didn't move, she whimpered as if hurt. She moved her left leg disjointedly as if in pain. She lay in wait the spider for the fly... she was not truly hurt, she was in truth waiting to pounce.

Nix watched her for a moment, frowning slightly...then gave in to his tendency to be trusting. He took a step closer. "You alright there?" he asked. "Didn't land wrong or anything, did ya?" He bent down some to take a closer look.
