Sanctuary is a place for higher ups to do their work, meet and relax. It is where the council spends most of their working hours and deliberate on important matters. The security guarding both the perimeter and within is of the highest quality managed by the military. Due to it being an honour to even be selected to trial as a guard here, many live their lives with that being their sole purpose. Here groups with the requisite paperwork may request the council to debate on enacting new laws, reworking old ones, entirely revoking current ones or to simply discuss an important issue. People may also request to hire out an office space for varying amounts of time should they desire. All who entre must provide evidence of who they are, if they lack the correct forms of identification they will be sent away. They are also professionally pat down and expected to leave any weapons at the door with the security. Anyone who attempts to entre without valid cause will be detained until the military can escort them to a holding cell.

Morado let out an exhausted sigh as he sat back in his chair. Time to hand these out to whoever is here. I'll get Sophie to deliver the remaining paperwork. Standing up he'd stretch out, he had a habit of getting so stuck into his work he'd lose hours. What time is it? Looking up at the clock he'd see it was 5 past 2. There should still be some people about. Carefully he'd organise the stacks of paper into groups using paperclips, then into files each with the names of council members.
Gathering his files together he'd open the door on his left, leaving the one on the right locked. Good afternoon sir. I was about to come in and shove a sandwich in your face. Bones wasn't the politest of people but he meant well. Morado would take one look at bones and laugh. I think you would need a sandwich to do that young man. Speaking of which. I am quite hungry, perhaps handing these out could wait a moment. Bones would put his hands behind his head and smile. Seems you've caught me out. I was gonna check in on you though. And yeh sure, food sounds good.
The two would walk to the lift and make their way up to the recreation area. While the kitchen wasn't anything impressive it did have a microwave. Bones would pull two plastic containers from his shadow while Morado found some chopsticks. It's a good thing Angelo gave those to me as I left the mansion. I shudder to think what either of us would come up with. Once their food was ready the two would make their way to an L-shape sofa, with Morado sitting in the corner and Bones on one end. So why can't they get off their lazy asses and pick these folders up from you? In-between a mouthful of noodles Morado would shoot a look at Bones. Because it's polite.
Nikoletta would yawn at her desk. She had been up late the night before with Nico and Syn. They were excited that they were going to work with mommy, too bad they didn't realize that work with mommy meant going to the daycare on the lower floor. She loved her little Owlets, but they could be a handle without Vikrama. How she wished that she could be in her home on Menagerie. However there was paperwork to get some grant for curing animal issues in faunus. She couldn't imagine how it would feel to have mites in her feathers.
She would see the Leader of the Council there, going around to everyone's desk. However, before he got to hers, he seemed to go off to the lunch room. She would get up, straightening her Kimono as she did so. She would then go to the lunch room, seeing him there. "Afternoon Morado, I see you have a memo for me?" She would say, going to the fridge and taking out a big lunch bag, filled with Lunch for her and her children. "My youngest children are here if you want to see them." She loved her children. All 8 of them. She would have brought Danae and Asger here, but they were on a mission. This could have made their lives easier, getting connections like this. She would rather them to have guard jobs, than to become hunters.

Bones would be the first to notice Nikoletta, giving no more than a nod to alert Morado. Hmm? Oh! Hello Nikoletta. wiping any food from his mouth he'd hop over the sofa, only to look back at the table realising he'd left her file there. Hey you go pops. Bones would say as he casually chucked the file to Morado. Stumbling a little while catching it he'd let out a slight laugh. I'd love to see Nico and little Syntche. How are they doing? Four now, I'm sure you're glad they're past the thunderous threes! He'd jest while shaking his arms remembering those days.
letting out a little cough he'd get back to business. Unfortunately, this is no simple memo. Trust me, I wish that were the case. He'd then offer her the file. This here file, along with the others, details the events of the recent attacks on Beacon Academy... I'm right in thinking your children go there. I hope they were ok. His face showed genuine concern along with the obvious fact that he had been distracted by this same worry.
What was I saying? Oh right. Along with the briefing, there are extracts of multiple concerns of security at Beacon along with complaints about racism. He did his best not to point at her wings as he said that, not wanting to be rude, instead he would give her a knowing nod. His voice then became very sombre. I've added autopsy reports to help enlighten those that would ignore the obvious facts in these attacks. At this point Bones would chime in. Not that it's going to change the mind of a racist. He had made himself quite comfortable now that he had the sofa to himself. Morado did his best to ignore him, everyone here knew what Bones was like, sadly his other guards were busy today.
So this file is preparation for our next meeting, which is scheduled for this Thursday. I hope you can attend, it would mean a lot to have you there. My hope is that we can all discuss what our public statement will be along with any necessary action that needs to be carried out. The serious head of council face would quickly fade to a more gentle, accepting and familiar face of Morado's. I'm sure you, as well as the other council members, have your own ideas on what we should be doing about this. I thought it would be prudent to schedule an emergency meeting
Nikoletta would smile has the folder was handed to her. He wanted to see the little ones. "Yes, Nico and Syntche are in the daycare. Thankfully they are starting to settle down from the Tantrums, but when they get excited, it's hard to get them to settle down. They were so excited to come to work with me today." She loved all of her children, but the youngest ones were still in their cute phase.
"Yes, my daughter and Son go to beacon, however, my son did not join until after this event. I heard about the attacks from my daughter, Danae, she was involved in the entire process, and lost one of her team members in the bombing." Her voice would go low. "If this isn't dealt with quickly, then there will be an outrage from the faunus community."
She woudl sigh, she knew that others on the council did not see why this was important. She did not fight for 20 years for this to happen again. "It might not change their minds, but having the evidence makes it irrefutable." She would then look down. She had wanted to go hom after today, but it seems like her and the children were going to have an adventure in Vale. "I'll be here for the meeting. Do you need an eye wittiness? I could call my daughter in. She would then pause, putting an arm up towards her head and pulling out a loose feather. It was bothering her for some reason. "I appreciate that. I hope that the others agree with making the correct statement." She was talking about the fact that they hunt down the racists, however, she knew that might not be what they do.

That's good to hear. A bright smile had spread across his face. Just make sure to keep strict boundaries and choose your battles. Although I doubt you need any advice from me, I'm sure you're a master with children by now! He'd chuckle a little. I'll make sure to drop by the daycare and catch up with them, I'm sure they've grown a lot since I've last seen them.
Morado was saddened by the news of Danae. It's a terrible thing to lose someone close to you, especially at such a young age. He almost looked like he might cry, in truth he might've if he were alone. He couldn't stop thinking about Jazz in his coma, he felt awful that he didn't visit and refused to let his children visit. To think he could've lost him, so soon after sending him out. A brief expression of anger showed, no longer than a fraction of a second. If it isn't handled quickly there will be outrage from everyone, not just the faunus community. He added. Nikoletta was a very inspirational woman, perfect for her role. Morado was overjoyed when she accepted the summons to the council, it had required a lot of strong-arming to even get a proposal formed.
Vale like most places didn't have the greatest of histories, but they were taking steps in the right direction. These steps would rarely satisfy anyone, to some they were an invasion of their traditions, to others they were an insult to their rights. The council could only do so much, but Morado would do his best to steer them in the right direction. That's a wonderful idea, Nikoletta. I'll get the paperwork sorted to have a few key testimonies taken. Of course I'll need you to sign for consent for your daughter, the same as any other parents.
Watching Nikoletta pull out a feather distracted him a little. Just go ahead and moult all over my food while you're at it. Morado gave Bones a look of death, something that made him sit upright. Sorry bout that Miss Hallþóra Svéd, my tongue runs away with me at times. I'm sure you've heard worse though. With that he'd go back to laying back. Coughing Morado turned back to Nikoletta. The statement I'm not too worried about, they have their images to uphold after all. It's what action we take that I wonder... He could guess what she intended to suggest, although he wasn't sure if he entirely agreed. In principle it was no worse than declaring war, something the people wouldn't be able to handle the situation as it is. Ultimately it's not up to me. I will do my utmost to remain impartial and listen to the advice of my fellow ministers before coming to any conclusions myself. Of course it will come to a vote regardless of how I'm swayed.
Nikoletta would chuckle. Yes, she was the mother of 8, but that didn't mean anything. Each of her children were different. Two were creators, one was lazy, the other was hardworking, and two were fighters. "You would think by now, but I've learned something with children. They are never the same, and they always surprise you with what they want from life. Like Asger, I was so sure that he was going to be a scholar, however, he's truly a fighter. The important thing is that you let them fly on their own wings, even if they fall." Sure, she was using a bird reference, but everyone's dreams had wings, and they should be able to spread out and Fly.
He was right, as she looked at the file. A human also died in the incident, her throat slit in front of all the students. She would sigh. "I will make sure to sign that paperwork. I'll see if she wants to bring anyone else with her to give testimony." It would be good for Danae, to be able to meet the council members, in a more professional manner. That way once she became a huntress, she could get a job protecting council members. She loved to think that she could protect her mother, but she doubted that is what she wanted to do.
She would then turn her head towards Bones. She had been ignoring his presence until now, but then he opened his mouth towards her. "Yes, I have heard worse, and I've worked very hard to make sure that my children didn't have to go through the same abuse I received. So if you mention anything like that to my children, I will come in during molting season, and actually molt all over your desk." She would then go towards the couch, and pick up a few hairs off the couch itself. "It also looks like the humans are molting too." She would say with a chuckle.
She'd then look back at Morado. "I know, if it were up to any single person, it wouldn't be fair. I know if it were just me, we wouldn't be having a conversation, I'd be out there, making sure that no one else got hurt in such ways. This was everything she had fought against, coming back with a group that was killing their kind for no reason.

The lift would softly ding as it came to the top, stepping out was a Goliath of a man, although everyone here knew that this lumbering tower only meant your day would become brighter. Hey there Boss! Oh, and good day to you too Mrs. Hallþóra Svéd. The second name he gave a bow to. I saw your little ones earlier, they demanded I play with them. I tried to tell them I had urgent business. He shot a desperate look at Morado, then shook his head and looked back at Nikoletta. Alas Nico managed to knock me over with his overwhelming strength and Syntche held me down with her brute force! He raised both fists as if holding a man up by the scruff of his collar in dramatic fashion. Releasing his pose, he let out a heart chuckle at the whole ordeal. But never fear, I managed to slip out after some struggle and put one under each arm, a couple of spins later and they were at my mercy. In reality he had been heading towards the lift when he spotted the two across the hallway and went bounding off to play with them for a few minutes.
Boss, worrying news, things at the cavern escalated rapidly. Not sure how you want to handle this, but I'd recommend a flash meeting. I could round up anyone available? Or we cou- Bones quickly cut him off. No use you getting worried. We need that stupid smile of yours to raise moral. Getting up off the sofa Bones would stretch, business was about to begin. Round up whoever you can, let's not allow this to become the second mishap at the academy. Looking over to Nikoletta, Morado suddenly seemed very formal. Nikoletta, it appears we will have to ample time to arrange our meeting in a few moments. For now, I would greatly appreciate if you could accompany me to the meeting hall.
Nikoletta would look towards the hulk of a man, coming out of the elevator. He would come in, saying that her children strong armed him. She would chuckle. "I'm sure they did, with their sneakiness." There was a little sarcasm in her voice. She knew that her children weren't the strongest out there, most of her children were good at getting into places that they weren't supposed to.
Then the news. Something happened at the Cavern. Her whole demeanor changed to one of worry. "My children are on that mission. Is there any news about them?" Her family was the most important thing to her. She was willing to leave if she needed to go save them. She'd start walking towards her desk, packing up her things.

Bones would waste no time making his way his way down the lift, leaving it to be used by Morado, Nikoletta and Angelo. Angelo looked to his Boss for his role while Nikoletta gathered her things. I have the full details sent to me on my Scroll, but the main thing I noticed was a tremor. Angelo looked to Aidou worried he may have already said too much. As the lift arrived Morado stepped in with Angelo, who held the door for Nikoletta. Don't worry, we will do everything in our power. First, we need discuss what that is. Then we need to control the media on this, we have to be first.
Either Nikoletta would get in the lift or she would run off, the choice was hers even if Morado would prefer she followed convention and attended the flash meeting. When the lift was on its way down Morado would get out his Scroll and send two messages.
The first to Aurtrox: I am calling a flash meeting to discuss a development in the joint School and Military operation. In light of the recent attacks on the Academy I think it imperative that we all meet to discuss strategies for public interest. Honestly, it would be helpful to me if you were able to attend, I don't doubt you are just as busy so I can cover for you if you are unable to show... Eteria may be attending, Bones has gone to bring her.
The second to Snow: I understand I promised you the day off but recent developments have forced me to make changes. I need you to find Agatane Von Lorenzia and bring him to Sanctuary for a flash meeting. I am confident you will be able to find him.
If Nikoletta was in the lift with them he would ask. While we have some degree of privacy. He pointed to the broken camera on the ceiling of the lift. I'm thinking of sending an elite squad into the cave. I worry it will be seen by the public as an admittance of failure on both the Academy and the Military. Regardless of if she was there or not, he'd then turn to look at Angelo. Once we reach the ground floor, I want you to find and bring Alfred Sanguis here. Angelo would look worried. But then who will prote-I'll be quite alright on my own for an hour! Time was not on their side.
Nikoletta would still gather her things. She would then follow them to the lift. She wanted to go and save her children. However, he was right. She had to go to this meeting. She would sigh. "The moment that the meeting is over, I'm going there." She would look at Morado. If he didn't understand that, then there was nothing that she could explain to him. If it had been his girls, would she had been able to stop him? She didn't think so
Once they were in the elevator, and he mentioned an elite team being sent there. "Who are you going to send?" Then Angelo would start to protest them being alone. Angelo, I can protect him if the time comes. Go." As they would walk to the meeting room, she would make a slight detour to the child care center. "If I can't save my other children, I am not leaving my little Owlets without competent guards." She would then grab both of her children under each feathered arm. "Time to go zoom!" She would speak in a voice that you would talk to a child in. The children would hold their arms out as if they were airplanes.

Morado half expected Nikoletta's response. If it had been his children in the cave, he'd mobilise the entire military to get them out. I wonder if Jazz is there? A thought, as brief as a breath. He couldn't become personally involved with this, not too much, he had to remain the steadfast neutral leader of the council. I understand. It was all that needed to be said, Nikoletta was more than smart enough to bring some guards with her when she inevitably went off to save her children.
He appreciated Nikoletta backing him up and reassuring him that she'd have his back should it come to it. I am not entirely sure yet. Perhaps my own entourage? Perhaps another crack hunter team. Perhaps my hands will be tied. Perhaps it'll make everything worse. This is precisely why we have meetings... And also, why I dislike them. Nikoletta wanted to make a detour to grab her children, Morado couldn't blame her. I assure you all the guards here are top quality... He couldn't condone children being brought into a council meeting, but he didn't have to deny it either. Make sure they stay quiet, so the others don't complain He whispered in a hurried manner.
The guards had already taken their positions for a meeting, situating themselves by every entrance. Good day Sir. The guard said as he opened the door behind him. Good day to you too sir. I thank you for your continued service. Walking into the meeting room they appeared to be the first there. Good. I would not want to be keeping anyone waiting. Was that sarcasm or a show of his desire to uphold protocol? Today the meeting room had been set up for council members only, large curved table so everyone could see one and other while also all being able to view a large screen set to one side. Each seat had a glass, a jug of water, a table mounted microphone and a switch to illuminate their name plate.
Walking round to his spot he'd send 1 final message. Dear Ms Sophie. Thank you for getting this information to me so quickly. I assume you've already gone to collect members of the council for a meeting. Bone is with Eteria by now. Robin with Agatane soon enough. While Angelo has just left the Sanctuary for Alfred. I trust your judgement in who else is needed.
Taking his seat at the centre of the curved table, Morado switched his name on, tied his hair into a makeshift ponytail, pulled out his scroll and got a few spreadsheets up on the screen. One was a list of all the students reported to be on site, one of the seismic activities reported, one of medical reports from the initial wave of those evacuated and one was a past news article about "How the Academy is Failing Our Children", released shortly after the bombing incident. He let out a large sigh. Minister of Faunus Affairs, what is your immediate assessment? With that, Mr. Aidou, Head of The Council, was back into his role.
Aurelia silently praised the Gods she had arrived at Sanctuary in one piece, while her metal curses were shared equally between Aurtrox and the council. Or at the very least the Minister of Faunus affairs who had called this emergency meeting. It being an emergency with short notice meant travelling by airship, and Aurtrox refusing to go meant she was travelling by airship. Most people would have chalked the landing gear falling off to bad luck, but Aurelia knew differently. She was cursed. At least she could take safer transportation on her way back. Hopefully.
She felt a bit naked, handing over her staff at the door. Perhaps it was her self-sufficient nature, but she would rather not be dependent on the security guards if someone were to attack the building. Aurelia picked up feelings of mild curiosity, but mostly boredom from the guard as she handed over her ID. She supposed he was wondering what the meeting was about, but she would need to activate her semblance to know for sure. Once the guard cleared her for entry, Aurelia didn't hesitate in entering the building. She passed the offices, guards and other employees without a sideways glance, catching brief flashes of emotions whenever someone stepped too close. She did her best to ignore those.
Spotting Morado and Nikoletta heading into the main meeting room, she could only hope the rest had already arrived. Knowing what faced her, she wanted to get things started quickly. Approximately 30 seconds after the other two, Aurelia pushed open the door to the main meeting room. "Nikoletta. Morado." She said by way of greeting. All business, Aurelia wasn't one for small talk. Her eyes swept the room, lingering briefly on Nikolettes children. "Have any of the others arrived yet?"

Nikoletta would give Morado a look. "There are not a lot of people I trust guarding my children, and 4 of them are no longer in the building." She was very picky over who could protect them. Yes, she trusted her own guards, but she would rather send all of them to go and save her children rather than to protect her.
Once she got to the meeting room, she would place her things next to her desk. Also with her children. She would pull out lunch for the both of them and place it down. Little Niko would take an apple slice and run over to Morado and hand him a slice with a smile on his face before going back and eating his sandwich. Nikoletta would address her children. "Mommy has an important meeting, so I'll need you to be as quiet as owls stalking their prey, ok? If you do this, Mommy will get you both a special treat for desert tonight." The children agreed to the statement. The only sounds that would come from them would be the crunching of apple slices and carrot sticks.
She would look up at the slides on the board, after turning her personal light onto her name. She would place her feathered arms towards her chin. "My opinion is that we need to control the media in this case. Do we know the cause of the collapse of the caves?"
She would then look over to Aurelia. "Good afternoon, Aurelia, we were the first to arrive as we were in the office at the time. I assume that Aurtrox will not be coming today?" She was making light small talk while they waited for others to come in.

Thankfully, the metal detectors were just a bit taller than herself. Setting her fans and both sai on the conveyor belt to go through security. It was practically routine as she had her identifications out for the guards."Ugh! What a nightmare...May traffic not be that way again."The proper woman thought, cursing traffic for making her just a little late.
Walking carefully through, her legs were tucked away, her long and thick dark hair veiling them as usual along with her extra eyes. "Thank you, darling." She replied as soon as her fans were returned. As they had no dust in them, they would do no harm now. She was used to her sais being stored for now. Her child seemed rather shy and quiet; being no more than ten, she stood at almost 4'5", her spider legs wrapped around herself unlike her mother's. Arachne waited on the other side for both to get through. Once they were all through security; her daughter and guard on visitor access, they would continue."I wonder who's all here..."Arachne pondered before turning and kneeling down to her youngest daughter with a loving smile.
"You behave for Rajani, my love. Okay?" She whispered with motherly affection before kissing her sweet spiderling in the forehead. Standing, she turned her attentions to the slightly shorter woman of 5'7" and short dark hair."Keep your guard up and don't let her out of your sights."She conveyed without words. Rajani bowed respectfully in understanding. Arachne then turned to the little girl. "I will see you later sweetie." She then turned and made her way to the meeting room while the guard and spiderling walked their way to the gardens.
Her fans set in her purse along with a few other things (scroll, wallet, chap stick, etc.) which rested at her elbow. Poking her head in, she was able to see a great deal in the room, but anything 15 feet from her person was not so clear. Voices though, told her that three maybe four were in the meeting room as of this moment."Oh dear, where are the rest?"She thought, her expression calm if momentarily unreadable for the time being before she smiled softly. "Hello, all." The shadow Council Member of the Ministry of Culture greeted before soundlessly moving to take her seat.
