Forager Gathering Center
This burrow is a wide open space. One guard stands at the door and another inside. In the center of the room a pile will grow throughout the day as forager rabbits bring back the goods they have collected. At the end of the day,Swift and a trusted few, will sort the items and bring them to the Treasury where they are cataloged and stored.
Swift is Captain of the foragers. He oversees missions, announces any desired items to be looking for, and may enlist trusted bunnies to help with sorting duties.
During the day it is left to the guards to ensure that everyone is turning everything in, and that no bunny is taking from the pile, as Swift is usually out foraging himself. However, he will keep a keen eye to ensure that while out and about the other foragers are staying faithful to King Joxer. Any rabbit found to be stealing or holding back found items will be immediately reported to Captain Uzo of the Guard.

Warren RedeemedRedeemedI foraged! Describe your adventure: Cookei set out into the warm summer morning. It was going to be hot today, she could tell. She hitched her little leaf pouch about her chest and hopped off in a direction she remembered having found a really lovely patch of wild mint. Cookei carefully avoided all of the mud left over from the spring rains. She did not want to get any of that on her paws thank you very much. As she leaped over a particularly large puddle, she saw something interesting glint in the morning light. Setting her pack down she came a little closer and tried to keep her toes out of the dirty water as she inspected it. Plucking the little glinting thing up she rinsed the dirt form it in the puddle water, grimacing as her paws got slightly wet. “Oooh cool!” She exclaimed as she noted the pretty orange color of the stone she had just uncovered. She tucked it into her pouch, readjusted herself, and set off back on her path. It really was a beautiful day out, with the exception of all the dirty puddles. Cookei loved her job and loved getting out of warren every day to go exploring. Both her and Kokia didn’t really like other rabbits. Well… it’s not that she didn’t LIKE them, she just preferred the company of herself. Well and Kokia. She plucked some ripe looking berries from a bush as she passed by and tucked them safely into her pouch. Bramblefell really was a great place for them and she also appreciated that they could do their own separate jobs so they didn’t have to be around each other aaaaaall the time. She finally came to a little clearing between some tall trees and scoured around at the base of the trunks until she uncovered the large batch of mint. Inhaling deeply she smiled, “Mmmm these smell so good!” As always she resisted the urge to eat any of it, knowing the wrath she would face from the guard if she were discovered. King Joxer kept all the Bramblefell rabbits well fed, but Cookei did really love to eat. She sighed as she plucked bunch of mint after bunch of mint until her leaf pouch was full to bursting! Making sure everything was tucked in safe and sound she started back to the warren to drop off her findings. It was still lovely out and by the time she got back, she had already decided she would probably head out again today. Maybe she could find some more of those lovely berries to bring in. She made her way to the foraging burrow and took out her pouch, carefully laying out all she had foraged for the morning. The pretty orange rock she was particularly proud of and hoped her king would enjoy its beauty. Perhaps she could try and find even more rocks in a whole variety of colors! She had heard her king loved to collect things as much as she did and was excited to be a part of that. As Bramblefell grew Swift’s dedication to King Joxer grew along with it. Not only did he get to do what he loved every single day, he also had a nice dry place to sleep, plenty of food, and could have any manner of decorations or dye (if he so wished). But he wasn’t a bun of extravagance. He enjoyed a simple life, preferring to spend his days outside collecting new treasures with little concern for his appearance or the appearance of his sleeping quarters. He loved making sure the kingdom was well stocked and relished the praise of his glorious king.
It was an exciting time as he was beginning to get some recruits as well! His first was a seemingly sensible female rabbit named Cookei. He enjoyed her as she was quiet and seemed keenly interested in her job. Which she was quite good at! Her loyalty to the King also made her an excellent rabbit in Swift’s opinion. None the less he would continue to keep a close eye on his foraging team, he couldn’t let any bun steal from his great king! A new recruit was to be starting soon as well and Swift couldn’t wait to see what this bun would bring to the table. But for now he would set all that aside and focus on doing some foraging of his own.
Swift gathered his satchel and prepared for his first outing of the summer. Summer was one of his favorite seasons, as everyday brought a variety of wonderful things. It was such a bountiful season! He was so excited to get out there and see what might blooming and growing. He would spend the morning in a nice little clearing nearby where he knew of some berry bushes with berries that should be starting to ripen. Then once the sun was high in the sky he would move into the shade of the woods where all manner of treasures might be found. He peaked out, it was a beautiful sunny day and he just couldn’t wait to get started! He bounded out into the open, keeping a keen eye to the sky. All clear!
He set out and very quickly came across some very lovely and mature looking berries, just as he has expected. “Excellent,” he mumbled to himself, “these will be wonderful for making dyes.” He placed several gently in his satchel and continued on. A little later on he found a few shiny pebbles in a puddle that was beginning to dry up. Beneath the nest of a Blue Jay he found an impressive blue feather. And late in the day he found a whole patch of sage. This should please King Joxer, he thought as he made his way back to the forager’s area with a very full satchel, pleased with his days haul. The sage smelled so good he reminded himself to ask for some sage for his evening salad. Mmmm I sure love summer, he thought.

Warren RedeemedRedeemed I foraged! Describe your adventure: It was a beautiful summer day and Cookei was very happy to get out of the warren. These kits were SUFFOCATING her. Now granted, they were very quickly learning that they needed to go figure things out on their own, but for those first few days it was just wah I’m hungry wah I’m cold wah I need comfort. Cookei was going insane. They were finally old enough that she didn’t need to feed them or anything so she has been leaving the to their own devices and they seem to be doing just fine. She does like one of the weird long eared twins, she seems meticulous and clean and Cookei likes that about her, but hopefully the others will go find other rabbits to deal with their kit shenanigans because Cookei was having none of that thank you very much. Good thing kits grew up so fast. She turned her attention back to her foraging and hopped out to where she had found a delicious little patch of sweet grass last year. It was hard to remember exactly where she had seen it, so she hopped around for quite a while before rediscovering the little patch. Oh they smelled just as lovely as before! She quickly harvested as much of the long light green strands as she could. These will make for a great addition to our food stores. Cookei continued on, stopping to sip a little water from a puddle, grateful for the tree cover that helped shade her from the sun. She could tell fall was on its way though, the wind was beginning to pick up and make the tops of the trees sway and bend. She found a few wild stalks of mint and added those to her grass as she moved along, careful to avoid getting any mud on her paws. There was a beautiful looking leaf that was laying on a rock. It had lots of yellows and reds all swirling together. She wasn’t sure it would be very good for eating, but it was very pretty so she added that to her foraging as well. Might as well bring it in, she thought to herself. There were many wild berries out, especially in her favorite little clearing. It took her quite a while to collect enough to be worth it. She kind of hated collecting berries actually. The berry juice inevitably got on her paws, which was extremely frustrating and took forever to go away. And the berries themselves were annoying to pick. They were small and she had to reach all through the vines to get to the good ripe ones that hadn’t been eaten by birds. Once she had a decent pile she decided berries were over rated anyway. She’d rather collect tasty green things herself. Maybe that young kit of hers will like to collect the berries… Hm she should bring her out with her next time. Her little paws might be well suited for berry picking. Though the season of berries was starting to come to an end. Ah well, she had enough for now. Warren RedeemedRedeemedI foraged! Describe your adventure: Cookei hopped along in the slowly chilling air. It was getting mighty cold out here. It must be getting close to winter, if it wasn't already. She didn;t really see any more signs of the good summer berries. Honestly she didnt even really feel like foraging. It was cold and damp and gross outside and she had heard rumors of some afwul sickness going around. but this KID was driving her insane. She glanced over her shoulder at the pink bundle hopping fast to keep up with her and sighed. He just wouldn;t leave her alone. There was a reason she pawned all her other kits off on others, but this one just wouldn't go away. She was going to kill Kokia for getting her into this mess. Althoguh she supposed he was in the mess too as there seemed to be one of the little weird long eared ones that was attached to him. Sh shook her head again and tried to speed up a little to put more distance between herself and her offspring. It was just her luck that she had to have 7 of these little things. Good riddance to the others that were off on their own. At least she only had to deal with this one, and at least he was relatively clean. Peaches scrambled over the rocks and cold soil to keep up with his mom, while simultaneously avoiding any and all mud or puddles. He seemed to have inherited her desire to stay clean. "Hey momma! Momma! I need a bath are you going somewhere with a bath? Look at this!" he tried to show her the smudge of dirt on his leg but Cookei just rolled her eyes at him. She couldn't even see anything! Ugh this kid was worse than she was. "Look, just.. go find some leaves okay? We are foraging not looking for baths." She sighed heavily at him when he picked up a hand ful of useless dry leaves and held them up to her as if to say see he was helping. Wrong. Not helping, just annoying. She herself found some good looking vines that hadnt gotten too damp or dead yet and plucked the tasty green leaves from them, storing them for giving to the treasury when they returned. She plucked as many as she could reach, and finally finding a use for the irritating thing fololowing her, used his little nimble paws to pick the ones she couldnt until they had a great big pile going. Perfect! They headed back to the warren and she shook her head at him as he stubbornyl held onto his brittle pile of leaves like that was going to be any good for eating. When they dropped the loot off at the treasury she just shrugged at the rabbit counting it all up when they turned their nose disgustedly at the dry and crumbling pile of leaf bits the small pink boy put up on the table.
