Note: Due to the realities of life as a high school student, this RP should be considered to take place last weekend, on Saturday, 7 September.

That all the senshis had homeworlds somewhere out in space they could go to was something Nix was always well aware of...It just had somehow struck him as unimportant. He knew it was effectively where his powers came from, and that his world was in this solar system, orbiting Pluto.

But actually going there? Mapping it out, finding relics of the ancient past? Not a priority. Sure, it sounded cool, going to space, but there were things here on Earth, where he actually lived, that were a bit more important.

Still. He’d been spending a few days a month on the Moon lately, and it made him more curious about his very own world. So, a couple weeks ago, he’d popped there and looked around. It didn’t seem like a death trap, so he made note of that, and got set for an expedition.

He packed light, all told, stuffing a bag with some food, water, a bit of clothing, and some tools for mapping and surveying (that his dad had but never used...so he doubted their temporary absence would be noted), and then put that bag into his null space, along with his Switch. He’d considered putting his violin in too, but worried about overstuffing the space, and didn’t know what exactly would happen to something delicate like an instrument.

With all that out of the way, he’d sorted out an excuse for where he’d be to his parents, and left home. He didn’t know if activating the world teleport would flash a beacon where he was, so didn’t wanna do it anywhere near there. He sat down in a park where he thought he was alone, and spent a little bit looking at his senshi phone, steeling himself for the journey—even if ultimately it would happen in an instant.

After having the unfortunate bad luck to get locked on the library roof alongside a violin playing teenager in a costume, Michelle had come to question many things about her world. There were occasionally pictures of people in strange costumes claiming they could do things made the news or were posted on the Internet where people more often than not mocked and belittled such people.

Michelle had been one of those that laughed at the very idea until now.

Now a young boy, maybe young man? She wasn't good at judging ages -- he had picked her up and dropped three stories to the ground without so much as a hangnail to show for it. And that was enough to get her curious, eyes looking out for the familiar outfit whenever she had a moment in public.

This weekend was her off-weekend, rotated out with the other librarians, meaning she left Friday afternoon and didn't have to return until Monday morning. That in mind, she decided to look for places where a musician who wanted to be out and about, but not attract too much attention, would be.

The park was often full of sounds of music and children playing happily, and so she'd been about to sit herself down only to spot a bright green she seemed to recall seeing before from that fateful night.

Seeing the teen with his phone, she reached out to gently grasp his shoulder before, "Hey, I almost thought I'd just had a weird dream!"

Nix had his finger on the go button and was focusing on the idea of his world (as that’s how you trigger the teleport)...And a split second before the transport happened, there was a hand on him. He didn’t really realize exactly what was about to happen as he heard her say something and then...

...

They both saw a swirl of colors, like going through a tunnel, and then...Nix was sitting on a fallen log instead of a park bench, and the librarian was still there. He looked up at her and blinks. “Uhm...oops,” he said a bit lamely.

All around them was a forest, with large, thick trees. Strangely, it was almost completely silent, except for any sounds the two of them were making. No animals, very little wind...in spite of the plant life, it felt kind of desolate.

The lightshow was unexpected, given she hadn't seen it before -- but if anything, that seemed to have Michelle hanging onto Nix that much harder, as if afraid she might fall and...goodness only knows what would happen then.

Then they were surrounded by trees, Nix was on a log, and there was an utterly awkward feeling silence on her end.

"Oops...? I -- wait -- what -- shouldn't -- shouldn't I be the one saying oops? I reached out for you and you...did...wooshy light thing? I probably wasn't supposed to like...see that?" It was pretty clear she was starting to panic, though, as she looked around and saw trees, and trees, and trees. "This isn't the park."

Nix laughed at the lady's reaction, but shook his head. "I...thought I was alone, and, well, I don't want to alarm you but, we are definitely not in Kansas anymore."

"In fact, all of the US is, uh," he paused and looked around, then up. "That way," he said, pointing up. "A few million miles that way." He scratched his face and looked a bit concerned for a moment. "I, er, was going to go explore over the weekend, I brought some supplies," notably, he didn't seem to have them. "But probably better to go back a bit sooner than that."

"That was your first mistake, thinking you were alone in a public space. My mistake was reaching out to grab you but, I thought I'd seen things before and..." Michelle trailed off, looking and listening as Nix pointed and...

"...what kind of supplies...? And...you're...you're sure we're not in the US? You sure this isn't just...a really nice naturey area? And how -- where do you have supplies? And go back? Like, how you got us here?"

At least it seemed like she wasn't going crazy, though her toes wiggled against the grass, sandals leaving her toes exposed. "Kinda nice wherever this is...no ants."

Nix nodded, and reached to the side as if grabbing something out of a box...and there was a bright red cooler in his hand. "I've got the ability to put a few things in a sort of...extradimensional pocket, I guess? The things disappear, and I can pull them back out. He opened the cooler, and showed he had sandwiches and some drinks within, then "put it back," which mostly just resulted in it disappearing again.

"Though, given where we are, that's not even the wildest thing going on right now," he said with a snicker. "See, my name, Nix, is really a title. Technically, it's... don't laugh... 'Super Sailor Nix,'" he stood up as he said that. "And this," he through his arms out, "Is the planet Nix!" Then his arms drooped slightly. "Well, no, that's not right. It's a moon. In fact, if we climbed one of these trees we'd probably see, uhm..."

He hesitated, as it really made clear how ridiculous this all really was, at least to someone not used to it. "Pluto."

Seeing the cooler literally appear out of nowhere made Michelle's head hurt. "That...okay so it's kinda like an invisible bag of holding from D&D and other role playing games like that, yeah?" Sure sounded like it, and looked like it as far as she was concerned. "Must be nifty for when you want to pack for going on a trip, though, so you're not having to carry everything..."

Part of her wished she could have such a thing, honestly, but then her mind was being challenged again. "Super Sailor Nix? That sounds like a strange name. Or title. Especially when I don't see any water nearby." She looked around as if double checking and...yeah, lots and lots of trees, not a drop of water to be seen. Before she could ponder it further, however --

"...we're not in space. There's no way. And I thought Pluto's moon was Charon? Because aren't they the two things that're revolving around one another and the whole planet and dwarf planet debate? I was young enough that we knew Pluto as a planet growing up but now it's...back and forth, back and forth, and you're telling me there's more moons than just the one? On top of us being apparently in space?"

Michelle was glad she'd worn sensible clothing today, already moving to try and climb up a tree despite not...really being good at such things. "There's just -- there's no way I'm gonna be seeing Pluto from up here. Just no way."

“Well, no, we aren’t in space,” Nix agreed. “Space is up there.” He pointed up again. “But so is the Earth.” He grinned and shrugged. “It’s all pretty weird. But they did teach us in school that Pluto’s got 5 moons. Charon’s Just the big one. Although, uh...”

He hesitated, looked around, and rubbed the back of his neck. “I think the universe may be a lot weirder—and harder to observe—than we know. I was reading about it a while ago, and there’s no way what we’re looking at here should be possible, and yet, well,” He patted a tree. “It clearly is here.”

Nix watched her climbing attempts briefly...there were a fair amount of large branches to grab and climb on. He actually just jumped up past her, then dropped back down a ways and offered a hand to her.

"Does this make you an alien or something? I'm fairly certain there hasn't been anyone who's been out this far into the solar system," Michelle couldn't help but ask as she climbed, already breathing heavily and having to stop every few moments. "Also, when I was in school, there wasn't fighting about whether or not Pluto was a dwarf planet or a planet or what until I got to high school. And we only learned Pluto had Charon."

She stopped, seeing Nix hop above her so easily then drop down to offer her a hand up. There was a long moment of hesitation before she took the offered hand and pulled herself up onto a branch, panting. "Yeah, why do you think I'm still convinced we're on Earth? Or maybe you somehow caused me to hallucinate and we're still in the park being watched by people."

“Well, okay, there is that,” Nix allowed, nodding. “I suppose I don’t have any way to prove this isn’t a super elaborate hallucination. But trust me, it isn’t. And I’m not an alien...er...I don’t think. I was born in North Carolina. Lived there until a couple years ago.” His accent wasn’t strong, but the mention of the state could bring one to observe a hint of it.

He helped her up a bit farther, then said, “Here, stay this high, I think if I hop up there I can push some things aside for a view.” Then he jumped up, up again, briefly out of sight. “Ah, perfect!” He could be heard calling out, before a branch above shifted gradually, brining into view...

...Well, it wasn’t actually the image of Pluto one could find online. It was darker, for one, but also had different features. A different side, perhaps? But it was definitely there, shrouded a bit by atmosphere and distance. “There it is!”

"I don't think I'd get tired in a hallucination, but my mind is telling me this can't be real. Where's the animals, though? There should be birds singing in the trees..." The longer they were there, the creepier it felt to Michelle. She was able to pick up on Nix's accent, noting it to be different from the majority in Destiny City as much as hers was. They didn't have the same accent, but they were both somewhat different.

Then he was hopping up before she could try to stop him and so she had to wait and see what was going on. Then she could see a planet, something dark and perhaps nothing that really identified it as Pluto but....it was definitely not Earth.

"Okay, Toto. I get it. No more Kansas. Holy canoli."

He smiled at her response. "Pretty cool view, right?" he asked. "I'm hoping there's somewhere around to see the sky without having to climb a tree, but, uh, I haven't really explored much yet..." He rubbed the back of his head briefly, then looked down. "Anyway, let's go back down. Safer that way." He dropped a ways, and offered a hand to her. Assuming she was willing, it wouldn't take long to get back to the ground.

"I guess it's time to get to exploring, then. At least you were smart and brought food and drink. I...didn't. I mean, I've got a bottle of water in my purse, and keys and phone and stuff, but...nothing that would help me last too long here." Still, she at least seemed...somewhat unbothered by her current situation.

After the library incident, as she mentally had taken to calling it, she didn't seem to be bothered by taking the young man's help getting down -- likely safer than trying to get down herself, anyway. Looking around, though, she saw many, many trees.

"You'd almost think we were on Endor or something. That's the forest planet from Star Wars, isn't it? Or is that Yavin IV?" Michelle hummed absently to herself, trying to get her memories to land where she wanted them to.

"Yeah," he agreed, nodding. "Lotta trees. I think Endor sounds right..." He shrugged, once they were down out of the tree. "I've really only been here a little while once before, hence exploring," he explained. "Best I can tell, it's a great big forest, but it's a planet, well, a moon...so there's bound to be something else."

"At least, I hope." He laughed. "So, people like me all have a place like this, and a thing that we represent. Like, you might have guessed, my thing is Frogs. Tree Frogs, really, hence," he gestured up. "Trees. The lack of frogs is a bit disappointing, though."
