The Arena spans a 100-foot Diameter. One can either win by rendering the opponent unconscious or having the target touch the ground in the Out of Bunds area which is 20 feet extending from the borders of the arena. Naturally, competitors can concede and surrender. If thrown into the air a barrier will prevent an individual from flying out the arena but will result in an impact equivalent to hitting an impenetrable wall.

If an attack would result in possible death or cause the individual to enter a near-death state the competitor is disqualified.
Oh dear. The strobe lights and blaring music reminded the young actress of her idol days. As she walked over to the stage and waved on the plethora of cheering fans, she allowed herself to loosen herself and find herself in the rhythm. As much as the music was a lot, it also gave her a sense of clarity. While her opponent was the intimidating Shion, the goal of this was to have fun. Because of this, the young lady decided to put in her own hazards. Her chakra pulsated from her and sealed the area of nature chakra. Selina was not sure if Shion fought with such power, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

SHIONxxxxxMORI The flashing lights and strobing effects immediately got to Shion; figures they couldn't just have a regular fight. She'd quickly wave off the effects of the lights though, giving her enough time to ready her own preliminary jutsu. While Selina's was purely defensive in nature, Shion would open up with a more flexible technique. As she took her place opposite the idol, Shion would take up a fighting stance, energy almost exploding from her core as she took up a classic horse stance. The raw, flowing bakuton chakra tousled her hair as it pulsed in time with some unseen beat. Eyes narrowing in on the enemy, Shion would wait for the queue to spring into action.
Shion's flex of power caused her to fall out of beat. Her sensory abilities detected the explosive power and knew that she had to keep her distance. It was for that reason why she decided to start with distance. Selina's arms rose and cherry blossom petals swirled around Shion. Selina dissolved into the cyclone as the technique gave her a disguise. She figured that Shion's next attack would give her a chance to find a weak spot since she knew that she was going to need to find a way to defeat the explosive power. For now, however, she waited.

Their movement is masked by the whirling of petals as they attack their opponent by going in and out of petal state or manipulating the petals from anywhere inside the swarm. The technique lasts for three posts. The swarm can cover up to a radius of 10 yards. It may be used in combination of other techniques, hanaton or not, to strengthen the attacks or integrity of the swarm. The hands of the user must at least be formed to use non-Chiru Clan techniques that require hand seals. SHIONxxxxxMORI The constant, droning beat of the music continued to take its toll, allowing the the briefest of slips in Shion's concentration. The petals were upon her, though they did not seem to be attacking. Big Mistake. In one fluid motion, Shion would pinch her thumb between her teeth, drawing blood, and slam her palm onto the ground. The impact would send a blast of Bakuton energy radiating outwards in all directions. Holding her pose for a brief second longer, the blast wave would be followed up by another radial blast wave of fire as an aged, bipedal cat landed in front of the explosive kunoichi. "Ah, Shion. It's been a while since you've last called on me. What is it today?" the lioness spoke softly. "Friendly contest is all. Try to avoid the face; cant leave her out of work after I kick her butt." Shion jested. Hopefully Selina would join in on the friendly trash talk. What's a spar without a little banter?

"SEEING AS IT WAS NEVER STATED IN THE OFFICIAL RULES ITS BEEN DECIDED! INDIVIDUALS FROM THE SUMMONING LANDS ARE THEIR OWN INDEPENDENTS! TAMER PETS ARE A-OKAY, HOWEVER! WE'LL TAKE THIS AS OUR BAD BUT WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO ASK OUR COMPETITOR TO DISMISS THAT SUMMON AT ONCE OR RISK DISQUALIFICATION!
The explosive force would be enough to push her petals back, but not enough to destroy its formation. The swirling continued and re-tightened as flower petals latched onto the debris made by explosion. Once the flower petals clung onto the pieces of stadium floor they started to levitate and hover in the air. "You seem cranky. I think it's time for your cat nap!" Selina said as her voice echoed through the spiraling petals, and the movements of her hands were seen just behind the vacuum of flower petals surrounding Shion. Her attack of launching the debris downward would come down on Shion the moment she de-summoned her pet as per the rules of the engagement.

Shion would indeed dismiss her summon and the rubble would indeed be flung inwards at Shion, but the stones would find that they would make contact with thin air as Shion's form simply flickered upon impact. A quick survey of the scene would show Shion standing 30 feet away from Selina's petals.
The announcer calling out Shion's summoning was just what she needed. During the brief break, Shion waved off the announcer and the need to dismiss her cat. Whatever; she didnt need it anyway. Free from the worry of impending harm via flying rocks, Shion was finally able to get her footing and grove along to the beat. Each slam of the bass, each tremble, Shion would move her arms behind her and blast off on a jet stream of rocket propulsion as her explosive energy erupted from her palms. Within seconds, Shion had cleared the entirety of the stadium and was back on top of the petal-storm. Turning her hands towards the petals, Shion let loose one more blast of energy.

Selina readied herself for the counterattack when she found herself once more off beat. This caused her to instinctively look at her legs in the brief moment it took for Shion to make her attack. In one swoop Selinaβs flower field was dissolved and the force of the strike collided with her. The idol rose her arms to block but the force took her out of the arena. As soon as she realized this it was too late. Shion has won the match.

Jeers from the crowd not just toward Shion but toward the announcer's booth. "C...CALM DOWN FOLKS! I'M AFRAID OUR STARLOT HAS BEEN GIVEN THE UNFORTUNATE BOOT! I'M AFRAID THAT'S AN OUT OF BOUNDS!" the round was called. The stage hazard was brought about by him after all.
SHIONxxxxxMORI The jeers of the crowd did not get to Shion; she was used to the jeers. With the declaration with her victory, Shion dropped the pulsing chakra that cloaked her and made her way over to her downed opponent. "That was a good move with the rocks back there. You almost got me. Almost," Shion would say, a friendly smirk slap on her face, as she offered the idol her hand to help her up.
Selina smiled despite the outrage of the crowd. When Shion approached her, she extended her slightly charred right arm out in a civil handshake. βIt was a pleasure to fight you, Miss Shion.β She said cheerfully. While she wished she got a chance to meet Kojiro on the tournament, she figured that she would have even more fun cheering him on from the sideline.
