Turn 1: Plays Island. Turn 2: Plays Island and Kami of the Crescent Moon. Turn 3: Plays Izzet Boilerworks. Turn 4: Plays Mountain and Mindmoil. Turn 5: Plays Island, Train of Thought, and Teferi's Puzzle Box. Turn 6: Plays Island and Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind. Turn 7: Deals 9 damage during upkeep. Plays Gigadrows and deals 7 more damage. Plays Izzet Signet, deals 6 damage. Plays Jushi Apprentice, deals 5 damage. Plays Minamo Scrollkeeper, deals 4 damage.
Congradulations you've just been hit for 31 damage in one turn on turn seven and unless you've gained life or can prevent it you've lost. All of this completely possible in my Izzet deck, of course very unlikely, so as you can see it can be well worth it.

Tel-Jilad Squirrel Has anyone figured out WTF his flavor text means??? turn the first thing 90 degrees, the minus sign is actually a hyphen, then turn that second thing 90 degrees, and leave the t there. you get NIV-MIZZEt=1 looks kinda weird though since a sideways E doesn't really look like an M...same with N and W...i think they could've had a better puzzle there...

This is to say that the Niv-Mizzet you see is in fact, the real deal. This is said because Niv-Mizzet creates lots of clones of himself.

Niv Mizzet's flavor text may say that he is the real one, but, did anyone else know that that is the last thing that he would say, as he was dieing?
