Today, he'd managed to pry himself out for a breath of fresh air--to enjoy something a little more relaxing.
The colors of the park had changed since the last time he was here during daylight hours; he'd been good about powering up but everything was the same dark shade after the sun went down. Camera in hand, he'd spent the past half hour meandering, taking a few shots every now and then, capturing whatever caught his eye.
A flash of blue caught his eye--a gorgeous little flower with colors so vibrant he had to blink a few times to make sure he wasn't seeing things.
He knew, in that instant, it was what he was meant to photograph today--it was why he'd been lulled from his room. He held his camera a little closer and took a step forward, but common courtesy dictated he should wait until the woman between he and the flower moved, as he neither wanted to rush her nor crowd her.
She was pretty, in an uncommon way, and with the way the flowers framed behind her it made him think of a strong, female protagonist. He'd already started writing her backstory in his mind when he blinked and realized it probably wasn't appropriate to stare into space while looking right at someone.
Instinctively, he found himself shaking his head and apologizing out loud--when he didn't even realize if she'd noticed that he'd zoned out while staring right at her.
