Destiny City is passing out 'Wishmaker' Buttons; there are many local charities that have set up booths. If you have a passion for change, all you have to do is keep your eyes peeled and you're guaranteed to find someone raising money for a cause near to your heart. In return for donations, a character will receive a 'Wishmaker' button. There doesn't seem to be anything particularly magical about the button--but the moment it's attached to your shirt things suddenly take a turn for the best. You notice, for the rest of the day, everything seems to be going your way. You might not win the lottery, but maybe you got a call you were waiting for, an opportunity fell in your lap, or maybe things just seem to finally be lining up. The magic only lasts for one day, so you'd better make the best of it!

Quinn was leery of any, and he really meant any, event that the city held. Any event in general that had more than a handful of people tended to go off the rails in this city. More so when it's an event the city itself hosted. It was like the city attracted insanity during times like this but he knew better. Quinn had once hypothesized that the magical nonsense that went on during large gatherings were because there was an excess of magic in the city. Between all the senshi, knights, dark moon senshi, and negaverser’s it was surprising that more s**t didn’t go down. That and a lot of the city held events were run, in some part at least, by the negaverse which meant that it was a trap of some sort. A trap to gather energy or starseeds or both. So when Quinn saw the flyers for the ‘Star Festival 2019’ he was more then prepared to avoid it. His life was complicated enough right then, he didn’t need to throw some shadowy magical s**t into the works as well.
Between his mother’s rehab, his father’s new shut in tendencies, and his job there was not time for Quinn to deal with the magical side of Destiny City. He barely had time to himself let alone to train, patrol, or fight as Havasu Falls, Knight of Pluto. So it came as a complete surprise to him, that when he slipped a bit of cash into the charity cup of a booth that had been set up outside of the local coffee shop he frequented, he was handed a little button. He glanced at it curiously before slipping it into his pocket and heading on his way. Quinn figured it was something to do with the charity not the event the city was holding, had he known he would have turned the button down or thrown it out. Instead he forgot all about it.
The good luck started out gradual, he found a penny on the ground near his car. Then he seemed to only get green lights the entire drive into work, the few red lights he encountered turned to green within moments of him stoping at them. The elevator showed up right when he hit the button and no one else got on as he traveled up to his office. And then things started to get a little too coincidental to just shrug off. The meetings that he wasn’t looking forward too were rescheduled, he received extremely helpful, completed, reports that were not due for another month, and the one person he really needed to talk to just happen to be in town and was able to meet during lunch.
As the day wore on more and more useful, helpful, little things kept piling up. Nothing extremely significant, just helpful. Coincidental and yet odd. His days never really went this smoothly. Never. Quinn was curious as to the reason behind his sudden good fortune but he was also leery about learning what was really causing such a day. Did he really want to know? What if it jinxed him? Was it something malicious or was he just being lucky? Just thinking about it gave him the willies…
Best not look a gift horse in the mouth right now, he decided even as his phone chimed to let him know one of his daily meetings was going to begin in a few moments. Until it blew up in his face Quinn was going to do his best to just accept his new found fortune and roll with it. It wasn’t like there was anything else he could do about it anyway.
