Personality: Dragonth is a confident and intuitive dragon. Though he means well in everything that he does, he can sometimes come across as a bit controlling or overeager in his desire to help others forget their problems. He has a good sense of humour, but needs to be taught about limits and boundaries before he accidentally hurts someone with his teasing. Dragonth sees Mari’s insecurities. Sees them and accepts them—but why does Marinel care so much about their thoughts, anyway? He should be more concerned with his thoughts. Despite the determination to shove Marinel's worries about his peers aside, he understands the connection between he and his brother. He doesn't encourage it but he does not damper that relationship.
Should he notice concerns he will quell them with reminders that none of that matters. Convincing someone of their greatness can be a daunting task. He's up for the challenge! He is stubborn and will not fail to encourage those he feels needs it. He encourages his rider to work hard, to show some responsibility! This is not exclusive to his rider. Dragonth feels everyone needs someone in their corner, at least sometimes. This dragon will act like he’s the glue that holds the Weyr together if need be. He is loving to most he meets but especially to Marinel's companions.
This encouragement sometimes gets to his head. He knows his rider is great--and so is he! He considers himself merely set in his ways, rather than stubborn. His disputes with others while few, are irrefutable in his mind.
The only thing that matches his confidence is his curiosity. This trait will get him into trouble! He wants to know everything! Why did ——th do it that way? It would have gone much better if he’d listened to suggestions. While his corrections are never meant to harm, he can appear controlling. He hopes to learn the Why of others’ behavior and is intrigued by differences between them. He responds well to constructive criticism from older, more experienced dragons but not from his peers. He knows better. He meant to do that! He was putting an artistic flair on that glide.
Unfortunately this confidence can fall into overdrive. Dragonth is constantly comparing himself to others. He doesn’t find them lacking—but if he were to challenge another to a race and lost, he would think little of it until later. He calculates his next move carefully and reflects on how he might improve. He will succeed. There’s no stopping him once he’s decided he needs to excel at something. The problem lays in when he does. He becomes a hapless braggart, speaking often of the time he put into his achievements.

Why Me? Marinel may feel he’s been in the shadow of others for turns, but Dragonth is ready to show Marinel the greatness he sees within. This dragon knows that if Marinel puts those worries of others’ thoughts out of his head he could develop the fuel to succeed.
Dragonth will never dissuade Marinel from participating in pranks, but he won’t encourage it either. He knows his rider can be resourceful, and that can be used in other ways! There are few pranks he can participate in when he hits full grown, large as he is.
While Dragonth needs to build boundaries with others, Marinel needs to build boundaries to protect himself. He knew that they would grow and learn from each other. Working together, they’re sure to succeed! Dragonth sees nothing but smooth sailing ahead. Win after win, they’ve got this.
