In this thread you will find the basic outline codes for creating both your characters and the worlds they inhabit. By using these, you will let your readers and fellow writers know what they're in store for! Additionally, you will find guides on how to label your story threads so they appeal to and attract readers and possible collaborators.

Character Profiles
This is the skeleton code for the character profiles that will go as the second post(s) in your stories. It's a very open, loose code that is designed to be modified to suit your stories. Feel free to make changes as you feel necessary.

Example
Character Profile

Username:
Character Name:

|
|
|

World Origin:
Story Title:

|
|

Age:
Race:

|

Appearance (image or/and written description):

|
|

History:
Family:
Known associates:

|
|
|

Additionally:
this is where you can add whatever you would like to your profile as it relates to your story. Please be as descriptive as possible. What you write here will be what defines your character. Do not skimp on the details or the clarity.

World Profiles
Feel free to do as you please in your world. Unless it is specific to a preexisting world (say it's the Shire in Middle Earth), you can be as creative (or not) as you want.
Example:

Writers: (usernames of who is involved)
Name of the World: (this can be either the name of the story or an actual name for your world, it is up to you)
Where is it from: (book series, your own head, etc)
What's it like: (be broad, is it a round world, a flat world, on the back of a turtle, etc this is the environment bit)
Where are you: (be specific, where is your character, what does it look like, what's in it, etc)

Story Threads

When creating a story thread in the subforum of your choice, it is necessary both to place it in the right subforum and to name it.
When creating a new story, you will create a general new topic post (story thread). Please do not use the Sticky or Announcement options when creating your story thread.
When you label the story thread, use a title that is recognizable to you and the other writers you wish to join you.
If you are open to new writers, please list New Writers Welcome at the end of your title. If you are happy to just have yourself and the writers you currently have, please list Not Accepting New Writers at the end of your title.
If you are writing in any forum that is not the 18+ Fiction subforum, and you think or intend for your story thread to touch on 18+ topics, please list 18+ directly after your title.
For example: The Rise of Sauron, LOTR 18+, New Writers Welcome
The above example is how we would like you to title your story threads. In this case, it would be in the Fan Fiction subforum but has the possibility of becoming an 18+ story thread.
A poorly titled story thread will result in unwanted writers and consequences that may make this a less than brilliant experience.
For example: Two Steps From Hell!*&^
That is not a very good title for a story thread. It does not indicate anything about the writer or the story and could result in being removed from the subforum it is in or having intrusions from other writers.
Be specific and take your time. This story may have been in your head for some time. It won't vanish because you can't come up with a good title. Additionally, adding or changing the 18+ or writers classification is not a permanent change. If you do not want new writers at first but then decide or are convinced to let someone join, you can change it. If no 18+ content occurs and you end the story, you can remove it. Please, however, if 18+ does occur, leave it in the title.
