▣===========▣ Out of Contact / Missing In Action ▣===========▣ ▨═════▨═════▨
Requirements:Team Size: 4; Recommended Level: ~2; Faction: Beacon Students Only. General Quest Guidelines
You can dictate the actions of the Creatures of Grimm unless otherwise specified. Generally you should not finish off all of the creature(s) until all teammates have posted at least once for that section (though as long as nobody is complaining we don't mind). Meaning a three level quest requires at least 12 posts to finish for a team of four. It is your job to keep track of posts. The crew may randomly check to make sure you are all following the rules, because we don't want people cheating, but ultimately as long as everyone is having fun Role-playing we are happy! These quests are designed to give your team fun things to do first and foremost! Any member may randomly join in to control the monster's actions for a post. Underlined sentences mark the levels of creatures and requirements to proceed to the next level. Also if someone has not posted for that day feel free to skip their turn. Posting orders can hinder a good Role-play experience and that is the last thing we want (there is no real post order rules for this guild! Be active)! Remember to PM any crew when you have finished, and to turn it in on the main quest board. Lastly when the prompts say that a creature or group of creatures require something like 50 cumulative posts to defeat. This does not mean you must post 50 times to kill it. It means your post count added together must equal at least 50 for you to kill the beast. Which can be done in a single post, or in several depending on how you role-play.

Ïntrodüctiøn: In the outskirts near Beacon Academy is a small lodge house. The lodge house is used as a base for full fledged huntsman teams to rest and operate from while taking up missions in the area. One such team had arrived there for a mission a week ago. However, three days ago all communication with the team was severed. Beacon has been handed a mission to send a team of students out to investigate the lodge house and find out what happened to the missing team of huntsman. Meet up in the courtyard and get your gear prepared before heading out into the outskirts.
Level One
As your team approaches the outskirts you are greeted by the lonesome cawing of a raven. The big black bird sits upon a low, exposed branch and watches you all with beady black eyes for a second before its head tilts to the side and it caws one last time before flying off. A shiver runs up everyone's spine as your gaze turns back ahead and you each step foot into the forest. Something just feels wrong about the outskirts today. Did the forest out here ever feel this oppressive? The lodge house is 9 miles away. A good 3 hour hike there and another 3 hour hike to get back, and that is all assuming everyone can keep up a good pace. When you arrive at the lodge house you see a lone beowolf standing in front of the open door. It hasn't noticed you yet and seems to be sniffing at a pool of red liquid splattered on the hard packed dirt. (Level X, requires X cumulative posts total to defeat.)
Kill the beowolf to continue.
Level Two
The Beowolf has been defeated and the team is free to look around the the lodge house. The red pool the beowolf had been sniffing at is definitely blood. The outside of the building has a number deep gouges torn into the wood. The inside is torn up as well, though more in a ransacked kind of way. There is no blood inside and the chaos seem to indicate more that the occupants had been in a rush to gather key items and leave than had a fight indoors. Possibly they left for battle? But against what? Suddenly a powerful cry cuts through the air. The cry surprises everyone with its sudden and unexpected power that shakes dust from the rafters inside the building. In the following silence the eerie oppressiveness everyone felt before returns with a vengeance. Whatever made that cry was close. The team musters their courage and moves out. There is more blood to find outside and they can follow the trail. What it leads them to however is not what they would rather have found at the other end. Through the trees you all catch sight of a Sphinx the size of a truck. The chimera like grimm hasn't noticed anyone and is moving parallel to your course in the opposite direction. The grimm looks like it has been through an intense fight recently but is still kicking. Its at that moment that the silence is broken by the snap of a stick under the foot of the third person to post in the mission. Immediately the Sphinx wheels about and it's mouth lights up as it opens its lion's jaws and releases a fiery blast. The fire ball races forth at the person who made the sound.
(The Sphinx's fireball attacks can inflict severe, crippling injury onto anyone hit by it under X posts unless protected by the aura/semblance of an ally with a post count of X or more. The Sphinx is a level X foe even after being heavily battered already, requiring X cumulative posts total to finish putting it down. Alternatively if the team can hold on for X posts a pair of the missing huntsman will find the fight and save them by finishing it off.)
Defeat or hold out against the Sphinx to continue.
Level Three
With the Sphinx defeated your team can now talk to the pair of huntsman that were drawn to the sound of your fight. They explain the situation of the Sphinx attacking the lodge and their fight against it. The two of them guide your team to their comrades. Most of their supplies were lost or destroyed in the fighting. So they ask your team to take care of treating their allies while they guard you.
Treat the two injured huntsman and help the found huntsman team return to Beacon to complete.

He had to develop the habit of waking up early due to the chaos that was his team; from the human, to beta to princess. All made things less than simple in their own way. One with barking, one with trying to assert dominance... and the creepiness of the other claiming him. He had no idea why the world he returned to after his time with the wolves had changed so much; where somehow felines had taken over and there were barely any canines in sight. There was always the rare scent of course; he knew he was not the only one at this school, though he knew most of them appeared after him. And it was always drowned out by the scent of other ones so he could never trace them back to find them. It would be nice to see other canines for once. But until that happened, he was stuck surrounded by cats. 'At least it is too early for them to spread their scent here.' He thought to himself with some relief, taking a deep breath as he continued his casual walk to the courtyard.
The team had apparently decided on a mission to take, Feralis having not really participated much in the matter as he actively avoided being around them most of the time. He was only told it was happening and when, surprisingly giving little protest for it. 'Well surprising to them at least. I'll take any excuse to not be trapped writing or doing math.' He thought to himself. He loved being outdoors after all. He tried recalling details on the mission, though he hadn't really been paying much attention when they talked about it. 'People missing, long hike in the woods, find out what happened.' He repeated in his mind, the simplest version of the mission and all that stuck in his head. Particularly having forgot it was a huntsman lodge, how long they were missing, that they were huntsman, and that no one had been up there since. Those were unimportant details to his feral mind. All he really cared was that it was deep in his own turf; the outskirts. While he wasn't exactly sure where this lodge was because he wasn't the best reader of maps as he knew where places were based on stars, land marks, and sun positioning, he still hoped it may be near his pack. He missed them and hadn't seen 'em in a long while. 'With how much beta hates wolves I can give him a real scare.' He thought to himself with an evil smile. Though he worried how Nova would react. While he could violently protect his tribe from the other two... Nova he had a feeling would try to claim his pack. Which he really didn't want happening.
As he entered the courtyard, a brief thought of just going on ahead to find his pack and do the mission himself crossed his mind. It was a very tempting idea. 'But i'll never hear the end of it from this team if I do, and I don't need that kind of junk when I want sleep and privacy.' He thought to himself. It would be too much pointless people drama. How he wished things were as simple as in the packs where one fight determined things. But people liked using words way more than he ever would. He preferred action and fighting... so maybe his way was not actually very productive. But it was in his mind at least. Reaching the center of the courtyard, Feralis would sit cross-legged on the floor and look towards the outskirts. He just wanted to run ahead and lose himself there... but had to restrain that desire for now. His axe was in its small form on his side, he was wearing his vambraces and boots, and he had his special bone in his pack. He was also stuck with his scroll collar. After the robot had modified it before he found it annoying to use and was still trying to figure out all the droid did to it. It irked him he even had to wear it... but he intended to finish his time here to protect his pack. So it was a price he was paying. Taking out his bone he would begin to gnaw on it lightly to pass the time as his mind drifted into thought. Of Maria, his pack, his Rachel... hell even Kendall. Ever since running into them in the hospital and finding out Maria was no longer a student his mind kept drifting to MAKO. He would be thinking about that as he gazed towards the forest while he awaited his team.
With events passed Jessica was just glad to have things in some form of normality. Though she felt like the odd one out as she wasn’t a Faunus, which gave her bad vibes from Feralis. His attitude didn’t help with how she was trying to unite things and even cause some structure. Though it seemed like a fight at every single turn from someone, which she loosened up. Her old man did say if you wanted unite people, give them a common task and enemy so she picked up a mission for them. The mission reminded her of when Atlas fell, joining search and rescue to make sure all survivors made it out. Packing a light bag to have spar ammo, some food rations, and other survival essentials. Packed, rifle loaded, mission files in hand, she'd head down. Seeing Feralis standing there and actually waiting for everyone. "I’m shocked. You’re waiting and didn’t jump out the window." Walking to be beside him she would pull out the files. Looking at the faces of the missing people to memorize them. "I hope we find them. I know the worries their families have." Tucking the file away she would look towards Feralis. "Got every thing you'll need? This could take a while."

Ivory was not entirely excited to be on this mission. Yes, he didn't mind helping people, but it also met that he was going to be used for his tracking abilities. He also had skills with navigating wilderness. Though he didn't know if they knew that or not. He had always done his best to act like a gentleman. However, this day, he did not dress up in his suit. A suit had nothing to do with wilderness and wilderness survival. He wore a pair of black tight pants. He worse tighter pants so that there was less of a chance that he would leave a part of his clothing as a way for others to track him. On his top, he wore a sweater. He didn't know how sunny it was going to be, and sunburn was something that he didn't want to worry about.
Donned on his face, was his Ursa mask. It was the first time in a long time that he wore it. However, it was mission time, and time to be a serious hunter. He looked at Feralis gnawing on a bone. Ivory would shake his head. It wasn't time to be doing such things. The part of Ivory's face that Feralis could see was a serious look, even if he was shaking his head. He would look at Jessica, and nod lightly. He was ready to go on the trip. He brought a mess set, he could hunt and gather things in the forest for him to eat. He just needed a way for him to cook them, and that is what his mess kit was for. He did bring an old fashion seasoning kit with him, even with portable soup in it.

"Would you like some candy Noah?" "Remember that gives me a sore stomach Nova... " "BOOOOOOORING!!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - - Nova Primrose &Noah - -
Nova was more than excited for this mission, and was especially excited to see a certain self proclaimed boyfriend of hers. In usual Nova fashion, she came running towards the courtyard, waving to the rest of her team. "HEY YOU GUYS!!!" she yelled, as she continued to run to meet up with them, a small wolf pup clinging onto her shoulders for his dear life as she bounced him up and down with her movements. "Nova, could you slow down!!" demanded the old wolf, but she laughed aloud as she seemed to be focused on just one person, Feralis.
Nova reached her arms out towards the wolf, as she leapt up at his back and wrapped her arms around his neck, most likely a little bit too tightly. "Good morning my wonderful teammates!" she said, as she continued to giggle, waving to Ivory and Jessica with her left hand as her other arm continued to cling to Feralis and his neck. Noah jumped off from her shoulder and walked around the front, looking at Feralis he shook his head. "Nova, couldn't you have said hello a little bit less... like Nova?" he said, a bark being heard to the others who couldn't understand him.
Nova pointed to Noah, a serious look on her face for a brief moment. "Now where would the fun be in that?!" she replied, as she squeezed Feralis before dropping her arms and landing behind him. Nova moved to his left side and placed her hands on the back of her head, "Boring old wolf.." she said, giving Noah the side eye look he hated. She would remember this, embarrassing her in front of her Boyfriend. Nova looked to Ivory, her head tilted a little as she examined his mask. "Its been a while since you've worn the mask Iv" she said, flashing him a smirk as she then saluted playfully to Jessica. "Princess Nova reporting for duty Cap'n!" she said, looking behind her towards the forest they would be adventuring into.
"Just point me at an enemy and I'll crush them!" she said, kicking the thin air as she made a hilarious war cry noise. Noah just glared at her, hoping she would grow up one day.
Feralis had been content and in his own thoughts while gnawing his bone, eyes looking towards the forest without any real focus. It was probably the closest to really being calm he ever was; aside from being in the forest with his wolf pack at least. But his calm was soon to be disturbed by the surprised entrance of the human of the team. It was only a surprise due to him being lost in thought, his hearing usually being a bit better, but it did catch him off guard nonetheless. The wolf ears of Feralis would turn towards the sound even as his head quickly swiveled to see what had sneaked up on him; even if though the person likely wasn't trying to do so. Jessica would see a slightly surprised expression quickly shift to annoyance on the wolf faunus' face as he listened to her comment. Taking the bone from his mouth the wolf would give a not so amused look before responding. "Didn't feel like it since I would be the first here anyway. I'm not like Omega who jumps out of it for fun. Besides, i'm only waiting because I don't know where it is. If I had known I would have gone ahead." Feralis spoke in a surprisingly neutral tone of voice for once. He was being truthful with what he said, and didn't really feel threatened, annoyed, or angered for once. So there was no reason for him to speak as such. She would then say she hoped they found them, talked about their families, and asked if he was prepared. He gave her a flat look as he responded. "I'm sure we'll find something; these are my woods so they won't escape my notice. And of course i'm prepared! I wouldn't be out here waiting for everyone else if I wasn't." He would say, annoyance evident now in his voice on her asking if he was prepared. He was the type who only had what he needed, and anything he didn't have he could always get in the forest. He didn't mention the fact that while he was sure he would find something he was also thinking it would be corpses. Nature was not merciful; the strong lived and the weak died.
Feralis has mostly ignored the fact that they had been joined by his arch nemesis when he had responded to Jessica; Beta. It seemed the feline was deciding to be the silent type for once. 'At least he didn't wait an hour to join us.' Feralis thought to himself, but knew the feline to be mostly punctual. He had noticed the scent of him before he had even fully neared the group, the unmistakable feline scent, but his main focus had been on the human so he didn't fully regard him till now. Feralis' ears perked up slightly and he tilted his head in slight confusion. 'Where are his fancy city clothes?' Feralis wondered to himself. As long as he had seen him he knew Ivory to want to play dress up and look like one of those male dolls girls played with. It was pretty fitting in his mind for the beta. However, this time his clothes were much different. He wore black pants that seemed tight, similar to how Feralis wore tight ones, and had a sweater on. Why he was wearing the sweater Feralis wasn't sure; but then Feralis only ever wore the bare minimum. If he were with his pack he would be wearing a lot less. What was most interesting though was that he seemed to have a partial bear Grimm mask, as Feralis referred to them. He didn't have the fancy names city folk did for them. Just the descriptive one he used with his pack. 'How did he get one of those?' Feralis wondered, knowing the Grimm all turned to dust. It was a pretty small one too to fit his face like that, so in his mind it had to be a mask of a cub. Mostly because it covered from his eyes down to the tip of his nose but nothing else. While Feralis was unsure of that thing, thinking he maybe made it but unsure, a smirk would cross his lips as Ivory shook his head. "Oh, Omega ran out of his fancy doll clothes and now has to wear something practical for once." Feralis said, enjoyment from such a comment evident in his voice. He didn't realize the shaking of his head was due to his gnawing on the bone earlier, but then he wouldn't really care about that. Feralis also noted the seemingly serious look on the felines face but didn't pay it any special notice. With the male feline having been mostly silent earlier, and his own response to the human, he felt he said all he needed to say.
Feralis felt a cold shiver go down his spine as he heard a yell from an all too familiar voice. A voice that was behind him. 'How did she get aroun-' He began to think in a panic, rising quickly from his sitting position and going to try to turn to face her. The last thing he wanted was to have his back to Princess... She was the only feline he felt a bit of fear from. Not because she was intimidating, particularly powerful or anything...but because of how much she fixated on him. It was not something he was comfortable with; she was a feline he didn't actively hate because of how much she confused him. Though he would have preferred to hate her than have this weird whatever it was he felt about her. He very rarely felt any source of fear from anything to... As he rose to full height, but before he could turn... he found himself out of time. He felt time slow down as his ears and nose picked her up being particularly close, Beta's scent having masked hers till that moment... before it sped up again as he felt her arms wrap around his neck. Tightly. His arms instinctively reached to grab the ones she had at his neck as she was restricting his breathing. However, due to the surprise and her supporting herself entirely with her arms...He was having trouble dislodging her. 'Shes... going to be the death of me...' He thought with a slight grunt to try and get some air in him. With her being so close her female scent was almost overwhelming and her voice right by his ear so he couldn't miss a word she said as she said good morning to everyone. It also didn't help she was pretty much pressed against his back... as he was unsure if he ever wanted to be that close to anyone other than a wolf. One hand even going to wave as he noted from his peripheral as the other hand was wrapped tighter on his neck to keep her there. He almost wondered if she wasn't just a constrictor faunus.
Feralis felt a merciful decrease in weight and pressure on his neck, unsure why till he saw Noah walk up in front of him. At least the wolf pup had some mercy and didn't stay on him like Princess. As Noah barked, Feralis understood the wolf speak as he mentioned Princess should've had a less princess entrance. Feralis would've nodded in agreement... if he had that ability. Instead Noah would just see Feralis' eyes asking for help with the energetic feline. He would then see Princess hand move past him to point down at Noah, while Feralis wondered if he would pass out from lack of air, and ask where the fun in that would be as she SQUEEZED him before mercifully letting go and landing behind him. Immediately Feralis took in deep breaths of air to compensate for his time in the choke hold, not sure how long it lasted but it feeling much longer than it actually was. With Princess there wouldn't have been a guarantee she would let go without Noah. He gave a grateful nod of his head to the wolf pup as he caught his breath. Normally he would still be super on edge and worried with Princess behind him, but trying to catch your breath after nearly being suffocated was more pressing in his mind. Thankfully she would move to his left side, at least not behind him, while placing her hands to the back of her head as she called Noah boring. 'At least... I can see where her hands are now.' He thought to himself with some relief. While Feralis had thoughts of moving away from being next to her, he knew Princess. She would just follow him. So he figured if he stayed still for a little bit, there was a lesser chance she did more to him. 'Damned life debts.' He thought to himself. One of the reasons why he didn't act as violently to her as he did others. She would then say she was reporting to duty and had evidently seen Beta's mask before.
So nothing that really caught his interest until she said to be pointed to the enemy and she would crush them, kicking the air and doing a...what he thinks was supposed to be a war cry but he it wasn't very intimidating. Feralis had a slightly amused look by it honestly. And, feeling like why the hell not, he would move his head back to let out a long and loud howl. To which, after a couple seconds, other howls could be heard off in the forest itself. Though much, much further in. He grinned as he heard them. While he likely would not see them here, it was always good to hear his pack. The howl had no real meaning or translation to it; except maybe saying I'm here. He would look back to the rest of the group afterwards. "I'm ready to go." He would simply say. Despite almost dying to Princess earlier, hearing some of his packs lifted his spirits and excited him. He was going into his home, even if he may not see his family. And he was hopefully going to get into some fights while he was in there. He just needed someone who could read the map to point him in the right direction. Or have some tracks to follow. Or just have any indication of where to go and he would be ready. It had been way too long since he had been back in his forest.
Everyone arriving she would nod and watch. Jessica had a good feeling about this, which made her slightly excited. Seeing Ivory did put her on ease as the man was like a brother. Even with Nova nearly killing Feralis, and Feralis letting it happen, helped ease the soldier. "I’m glad you waited Feralis. And with everyone here... let’s begin." Coughing to clear her throat a bit. "Reports have been coming in about people missing. Grimm or bandits we don’t know. I am excited to say this, you guys are the most qualified for this. Because of your enhanced senses if these missing are alive you guys will find them. Feralis Having the most experience will take point in the woods. Noah, still being a wolf, is gonna be key Nova. If we can get a scent of any of the missing people Noah will lead us right to them, stay close to Feralis. No one goes out alone. Ivory your speed I want you mid. Either to help up front or me in the rear." She would give each of them a small glance before turning around her scroll to show images of missing men. "We are looking for these people. If you can track them, find a lead, call it out. If any of them are alive we bring them back. I know what these people are going through. The fear, the desperation, the worry of not seeing a loved one." Jessica's voice had turned scratchy, tears almost forming as she thought about her old man and Atlas. She took a deep breath, nodding to herself, collecting herself to try and be a strong leader. "No stupid risks. I've lost too many friends and teammates I care about. I will not lose any of you." Giving a look like she meant it, Jessica really wanted that point to sink in. Her and Ivory lost a lot, her even more with her Home and Father. "We complete this drinks are on me."
Ivory's ears would swivel towards Nova before she pounced Feralis. He couldn't help but think that he was lucky to get that kind of attention from Nova. However, he then shivered as he remembered his time as Noah. She had almost smothered him to death. It took everything in him not to shiver. Nova mentioned that it had been a long time since he had worn his mask. That was very true. He missed wearing it, as it made him feel as though he was a true hunter, even if he was exiled from his tribe.
Feralis mentioned that he was not wearing doll clothing. Ivory would roll his eyes under his mask. One of the benefits of the mask is that you couldn't see how his eyes moved. It meant that you couldn't always predict how he was going to act in combat. Ivory wouldn't even grace Feralis with a word right now.
Jessica would speak up. She said that they were built for this mission. Of course they were, they were a bunch of trackers. Everyone other than Jessica belonged to a tribe. Were they all different? Yeah, one was from the mountains, Nova hunted with an animal's help, and he didn't know anything about Feralis' tribe, but based on his howl, they were running in these woods. Ivory was assigned to be in the middle. She quoted his speed. His speed required him to use Aura, and was harmful to those around him when he activated it. Wait, did she really not know that? He would shake the negative thoughts out of his head. This would be fine. However, his tail was showing signs of irritation. He was being put in a position that was not good for the team. He would have to live with it though. He was not the leader of the pack. He didn't say a word in reply to anything. He just hefted his bag a bit, and took a sniff of the air around them.
"Would you like some candy Noah?" "Remember that gives me a sore stomach Nova... " "BOOOOOOORING!!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - - Nova Primrose &Noah - -
Nova smiled brightly as Feralis howled, she had grown up with a wolf and therefore knew how incredible they could sound when they wanted. She was even more shocked however and her whole body shifted in surprise when the sounds of other howls could be heard in the forest they would be venturing into. Her attention shifted to Noah, who's ears picked up and evidently was intrigued by the sounds of other howls just like his. Nova smiled brightly and chuckled as she bent down to her companion and scratched the furr all around his neck, "Noah, did you hear that?!" she said, the wolf pup's mouth open, showing he was excited and ready to go.
Nova picked up the small wolf pup and popped him on her head to which he moved down to her shoulder and sat on it, comfortable with his life companion. He was evidently excited, however Nova could also sense another emotion from the pup - fear. She was excited for him to potentially meet other wolves that would understand him, but was a little unsure as to why he was feeling a little fearful of it also. Shrugging it off as nothing, she patted her companion and then took Feralis by the arm very abruptly. "Getting to meet the friends already Feralis?! I'm honoured!" she said, chuckling as she looked at her other teammates.
Jessica was giving the orders for the mission, the tactics and everything. She nodded to acknowledge everything her captain said, "Use Noah and his incredible nose - got it Cap'n!" she said, winking to her and saluting with her free hand that wasn't wrapped around Feralis.
The one individual that hadn't spoken yet was Ivory, Nova looked at him with his mask on and winked at him. "Let's do this Ivy!" she said, as she pointed towards the forest ahead of them with her free hand. "LET'S DO THIS! TEAM NOVA TO THE RESCUE!" she yelled, dramatically and loudly - just like would be expected from the feline faunus.

Beowolf: 0.25

The team had a long walk ahead of them through the outskirts of Vale. While the outskirts were full of Grimm, the path between the hunters' outpost and Beacon should be relatively safe. Right? Then again, one had to wonder what had happened to the hunter team, and why they were sending students, hunters in training, after them. As the team entered the outskirts a large raven sat on a low branch of one of the trees. One could easily mistake it for a baby Nevermore if it wasn't more the missing white faceplate and black eyes instead of red. Was it watching them? It tilted its head a bit as if examining its next meal, before finally giving a loud caw before taking off into the sky. A bad omen, if one believed in that kind of thing.
Hours passed, yet the woods remained quiet. Too quiet. Certainly for the first hour or two of walking, one could chalk it up to the proximity to Beacon. Hunters and hunters in training were always around, keeping the number low near the school. But after that... not that they should be expecting to be attacked by a horde or Grimm, but certainly they should have come across a Beowolf or two by now. It was without incident that they would find the lodge house, nestled up at the base of the mountains. It would a good place to rest before ascending the mountains the next morning or to rest after a hard trek through the mountains before making the walk through the forest back to Vale City.
It was clear that something had gone horribly wrong. The door was ajar, creaking a bit as the breeze pushed it slightly. Crimson liquid splattered the ground. There was no mistaking it for anything but blood. A lone Beowolf was sniffing at the blood. Even that seemed wrong. The weakest member of their team could handle a single Beowolf, nevermind full-fledged hunters.
The fact that beta gave no response only made Feralis feel like he had hit a sore spot and won. A small, toothy, grin adorned his face as a result. It was very rare he ever won the verbal war with anyone; usually he had to resort to action because words were not his strong suit. He did not really care to really comment on Princess' initial response to Noah about the wolves. She had seemed surprised, but then it was to be expected. No one on his team knew about him in any real detail and that included his pack. Nor did he ever intend them to meet his pack anytime soon if at all. He did not need them endangering or ticking off his pack. He was pulled out of his thoughts from the feeling of his arm abruptly taken away. Confused for a moment his eyes looked to the source to see Princess... the growl that was about to pass his lips dying out instantly. 'Of course.' He thought with an internal sigh. He had hoped with a mission she would be a lot less touchy... but so far it only seemed to make her want to do so more. Part of him was tempted to rip his arm out... but for now he let it be. Mostly as he was unsure how the feline would react to such a thing, as he imagined she may be capable of worse than just arm holding. Even if he preferred to have his arm freed. She would then comment about meeting the friends already and being honored as it took a few seconds for Feralis to process what that meant before vehemently shaking his head no. He was not about to unleash her on his pack.Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, he was unable to vocally say anything as Jessica began to speak about the mission and their formation. Hearing that he was in the front with Noah was a pleasant surprise... and more so when he realized it meant Princess would be in the middle. 'At least I will have some space from her.' He thought before feeling a slight movement as Princess saluted with her free hand, spoke briefly to Beta, then was her enthusiastic self as she pointed to the forest and called it team nova to the rescue.
Taking his chance with that temporary distraction, Feralis would quickly slip his arm from hers and immediately set off into the forest wordlessly, eager to be away from her grasp. While he set off initially fast just to get some distance from Princess, he did slow down enough that the group could keep pace and for Noah to catch up to him. Mostly because now that it was mission time he was more serious about this type of thing, and knew the importance of following pack tactics. He also knew if he disobeyed it Princess would have an excuse to go near and likely hold onto him again. Something he was no inclined to let happen. He would rather face a horde of Grimm alone than have her clinging to him. Soon into the outskirts he had noticed a large raven nearby, but not really feeling hungry, gave it little mind. He would hunt later for food if necessary, but for now it could consider itself lucky he wasn't hungry. He heard it gave a loud caw and begin to fly off as it did not bother him in the slightest. He was used to the wilds; one curious raven was not going to spook him in any way, not when this was his home and he was above it on the food chain. While he primarily looked for landmarks to make sure they were going in the right direction, ears pricked for alert, he trusted Noah to alert him to any dangerous smells or any other dangers he missed. With Noah, he felt a bit of a pack hunt mood return which was welcome. So he trusted the small wolf to do his job in this. Hours passed and yet no danger presented itself. He had found the odd prey track along the way, but strangely enough no grimm tracks throughout their journey. Not that he minded or found it too dissuading. He was used to being nomadic here and trying to avoid grimm along his pack whenever able; they only fought them when they attacked or drew too near to their current den. Usually they seemed more attracted in the school direction rather than deeper in where he and his pack usually dwelled. It did become a bit strange though, as with the silence of Beta and the Human's emotion from earlier he honestly had expected them to attract some. 'Unless Princess is too positive and scary for the Grimm.' He thought with slight amusement.
Finally, they would find themselves arriving at the lodge house which was nestled against the base of the mountains. While he needed no such luxuries, he could understand why the rest of the humans and faunus would. It was in a good location for a rest stop; perhaps one the wolves may have utilized at one point had the lodge and presence of such beings not been an issue. However as soon as they neared it the unmistakable scent of blood would be detectable, something Noah probably noticed earlier than Feralis himself. Ears pricked and wary, Feralis would draw his axe as he slowly advanced further to try and find the source; sticking within the forest edge so he would not immediately be seen. He would keep moving till he saw the door slightly open, the crimson liquid on the ground, and a beowolf seeming to be sniffing the blood. While most may have tried to analyze the situation, Feralis was of different mind. He wanted the threat eliminated first before anything else. 'The quicker the snake is dealt with, the fewer chances it has to bite you.' He thought practically. Looking to noah he would speak low in wolf speak. "Tell Princess and the others there is a beowolf here and to wait till I kill it before joining us." He would say simply, and creep forward from the forest to the nearby wall of the cabin. Out of view of the beowolf. The scent of blood was strong, and would hopefully mask his own. Feralis felt a thrill go through him as he slowly moved closer to his target, the feeling of the hunt coursing through him. The beowolf would be his prey. He was going to turn the corner and quickly sink his axe into the Grimm with a heavy blow, hopefully catching it off guard.

With Feralis taking lead, as ordered, Jessica would let the rest take their perspective positions ahead of her. Loading her weapon she would follow, five feet behind Ivory and two to the left. Line stagnation was a tactic her sister had shared as it allowed a unit to cover more area. As they moved through the woods she would look behind them, walking backwards for a few feet as she went. Jessica trusted her judgement, trusted her team, she had to trust them. As the traveled deeper Jess would stop, breaking some bark to indicate a return trail if the need for holding off an attacking enemy should arise. The silence of the walk was unnerving, making a touch anxious as an enemy could be stalking. Slightly envious of her teams enhanced hearing if anything was lurking.
Ivory looked at Nova as they were about to leave. She said that they could do it. Of course they could do it, otherwise they wouldn't have set them out on the mission, or rather let them take the mission. Ivory had to remind himself that she was probably being more optimistic than he was being right now.
A raven would caw, and Ivory would look towards it. It was a sign that the hunt would go bad. This was bad. If it had been a Nevermore, they would have tried to take it down, but this was a normal bird. They needed to be on their toes at all times. He would keep walking, silent the entire time.
As they approached the cabin, his nose would catch the smell of blood in the air. He would reach up to his ear, speaking into his ear piece. "Blood up ahead." His tone was neutral. He knew that Nova could handle herself if Feralis was there. He broke from formation, and started to do surveillance around the cabin, looking for things such as foot prints, signs of blood being tracked, or even the presence of other Grimm.

"Would you like some candy Noah?" "Remember that gives me a sore stomach Nova... " "BOOOOOOORING!!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - - Nova Primrose &Noah - -
Noah shook his head, he felt quite sorry for Feralis and his situation, yet also found it rather amusing. He knew that Nova could be overwhelming, but she really did have a heart of gold, and one day he was sure Feralis would see this. The old wolf chuckled at the thought, he had never quite met anyone yet in 17 years that had understood Nova - yet he hoped someone would, one day. Nova was taken off guard when Feralis slipped his arm from hers, he immediately went off into the forest and looked in the direction, scratching her head sheepishly as she looked a little embarrassed, "He just got a bit nervous.. that's all" she said, as she nodded to Noah who was ready to follow beside Feralis. "Noah.. not too far.." she said to him in her mind, for only him to hear. The small pup barked and ran off into the forest after him, "Never too far from you little one.." said the wolf as he then focused on finding any hint of scent or tracks that they could use.
Nova smiled towards Ivory, the boy was silent, she always found it eerie. She cared for her team deeply, yet always felt something different from Ivory, tilting her head a little as she felt a turn in her stomach she coughed to clear her throat. "Alright, I'm next!" she said, as she raced into the forest. The good thing about her, was she could sense her companion ahead of them, therefore she wouldn't have to worry about getting lost. Nova felt a little uneasy as they went through the forest, it was too quiet.. where were all the Grimm?
A while had passed, Noah's head and ears picked up as he caught onto a scent. It was blood, and his keen nose sensed it from a while away. As they continued to run, he looked to Feralis and made a grumbling noise as he bore his little, but sharp teeth, indicating that there was something ahead. Both slowing down, Noah looked to Feralis as they both caught sight of the Beowolf that was sniffing around, he looked behind them very briefly and nodded. "Nova.. there's a single Grimm here, remain behind and vigilant while we take it out.." said the wolf to his partner. Who was beginning to catch up to them now.
A smirk arrived on her face, she began to pick up her pace as she caught up to them both and zoomed right past Noah. If there was one thing Nova was extremely proficient at, it was jumping and leaping great distances. Taking off from the top of a rock, she held her blades above her head and launched herself right at the Grimm at the entrance to the cabin. Just as Feralis started to turn the corner, ready to take the Beowolf out, Nova appeared out of what seemed like nowhere, and with a war cry, sunk her blades right into the back of the Beowolves neck. Holding herself up on them, she tore them right down its back as it shrieked in a great deal of pain, before falling to the ground and bursting into thousands of particles of black dust. Noah watched in complete disbelief as to what his companion had just done, it was both awesome.. but very rash.
Nova landed on the ground again, spinning her blade in her hand as she looked to Feralis, a big smirk on her face. "I know.. I know.. pretty cool right?" she said, as she placed her blades away in her belt. "Don't worry, I'd never do that to you Feralis.." she added, winking at him, most likely adding to the confusing aura that already shrouded the feline faunus. Noah ran to the Cabin, and looked at Nova, clearly not pleased. "Nova.. you were asked to stay behind, you could have been-" he barked at her, "Well I wasn't was I? It was only one!" she interrupted the wolf, who remained quiet now.
Noah's ears pricked up, he looked around the cabin they were now at the entrance of, the scent of blood was extremely strong. He began sniffing around, Nova stood back beside Feralis as she let her companion do what he was good at - being a tracker. She looked to Feralis, and didn't make any move to touch, talk or jump on him.. how strange. Nova turned and exited the Cabin, "I'm going to check around.." she said, as she began to search the opposite areas to Ivory, using her keen senses to attempt to pick anything up.
Noah continued to smell the blood, "That beowolf did not cause this..." he said to Feralis, looking around the blood soaked Cabin.
OOC: I'll wait for you Deadly to put what we will find etc!
Feralis had been hyper focused on the grimm that was to be his prey this hunt, making sure he didn't alert it to his own presence. He tended to get like this on his hunts with how he viewed them, given much of the time his perspective was that of a wolfs. The hunt was almost a sacred thing to him, as he was fulfilling the natural cycle of life and death with it. He was focused to the point that he didn't realize he was going to have an interruption from one of his own teammates. As the wolf faunus began to turn the corner to attack...all he saw was a rush of color as something flew past him and into the room. 'What the hell!?' He thought in surprise as he stopped his swinging motion and looked to see where it had landed. Only to almost have his jaw drop off as he saw it was none other than Princess, as he also heard what sounded like a war cry. She had landed on the back of the black wolf and as his eyes focused he saw she was holding onto two blades... that were now in the back of the creatures neck. While he was surprised at her appearance... it was not the good type. He saw her tear it down its back as it shrieked and turned to dust, before landing and turning to him with a smirk, saying it was pretty cool. Feralis, for once with her, had a slightly ticked off expression as he looked back at the feline. 'She stole my prey.' He thought to himself rather angrily. While he endured a lot with her due to her confusing and slightly scary personality, one thing he did not tolerate much at all was his hunts being interrupted. He understood the importance of pack tactics and coordinating to achieve their own goals. If she had warned him, he may have taken it as just competition for the hunt rather than her stealing it from him. It also didn't help that it reminded him of Kendall, though he sighed slightly at the thought of her as the anger faded. Realizing he probably would've done the same if given the chance. He was about to respond when she said she would never do that to him and wink. A small confusion overcame him. 'Why the hell did she wink at me just now?' He thought in confusion, stopping him from speaking as he tried to phrase why he would've had to have been worried about her doing that to him in the first place... before realizing that speed and pounce would be hard to escape if she used it on him. Something he for sure did not want to happen.
It was then that Feralis would hear the running sound of Noah and look to see the wolf cub join them as he began speaking to Princess in a way even Feralis could understand. Mentioning how she was told to wait, and Feralis assumed worried for her safety before she interrupted saying it was only one and she was fine. Which apparently made the pup go silent. 'I know she is alpha but she should have said something.' He thought to himself, slightly annoyed. If she had come by any later, Feralis' axe may have hit her instead. So the wolf's pup worry was justified and not to be brushed aside. She stood besides him but he didn't give her a glance past that as Noah began sniffing around and his own focus was on the blood. She would then say she was going to check around as he heard her depart, ears pricked as she did so to ensure nothing else was coming. The thought did cross his mind that it was strange she did nothing to him, but he pushed it aside for now. He had other things to focus on. Once satisfied, he knelt down by the blood and smelled it as well before dipping his fingers into it. Bringing it beneath his nose as Noah said a beowolf did not cause this. Tasting the blood, he would nod his head to the pup as he tried to identify it and see how long it had been there. Having tasted blood fairly often as wolf and faunus alike, people included when they got to close to his packs territory. And having hunted many years in this forest, he had learned to tell what was fresh and what wasn't roughly in its taste most of the time. It was not always a guarantee though that he would be fully accurate, depending on the condition of the blood. "If that did not cause this though, what did?" He would bluntly ask, unable to determine as of yet what could have. He would rise from his kneeling position as he spoke, looking into the cabin further before slowly beginning to progress further into it. His axe was at the ready in case of any hidden surprises, ears and nose twitching as he tried to find any signs of others in this place. His eyes would scan the place best he could as his tail wagged slightly behind him. Perhaps he would find the bodies or survivors here; so far he was the only one looking inside, and the last thing he wanted was a surprise from in here springing out to attack them. Plus, with everyone else away anything in here was his claim.
