tab Gari should have listened. They had told him and he hadn't listened. Like always. He thrashed miserably in the net, body flopping against the dock as he flailed. Countless times Gari had found himself visiting the local docks and watching the fishers intently. He had thought, one day, he'd sneak into a net before the fishers returned. There was a bounty to be had and the multiple attempts to shoo him away had only illuminated his desire more. They didn't want him to have it, so of course Gari wanted it more.
tab Except, nets were trifling little things. He had pulled it up to the dock and opened it unskillfully. Somehow, and he would never remember how, Gari ended up within the net. The net and Gari had fallen off the pier and dangled above the water as a corner caught on the edge. He flailed, various hissing and snarling leaving him time to time. He was upside down and undignified -- something the strange pony would never live down.

Thorn was scouting for prey for himself and his leader. It was early for him the sun just touching down beyond the eyes reach still coloring the ground ever so slightly. He narrowed his red eyes willing it down faster so hunting would be much easier for the dark colored vampire bat. He huffed ruffling his wings the rings one them chiming together ever so slightly as his hooves carried him to look over this fisherman's docks. Perhaps there would be a late night fisherman or two in the wrong place at the wrong time. Thorn could go for some seafood after all he mused to himself.
Something caught his interest though and odd hissing sound. Thorn perked his large bat ears and made a curious face before following the sounds he heard. A hissing flailing fish was what it sounded like. He peered over the pier once he reached it's edge. His ears perked at the pony? Creature? Thing he saw trapped in the net below. "Well quite the mess you have gotten yourself into isn't it?" Thorn asked seeming to watch with amusement. "Wonder what the fisher ponies will do when they see such a prize in their nets?" Thorn chuckled. "Come now surely you can get out?" Thorn asked not really one to lend a hoof to a non vampire though the peculiar nature of this pony did catch Thorn's eye, the pony was not like every other pony about after all.

tab The large pony came into view and Gari responded with a loud hiss; louder than previously. He thrashed within the net, ignoring the sting as the net tightened around his fins and constricted blood. His teeth attempted to gnaw at the net, but he had twisted himself in such a peculiar fashion that his teeth failed to reach. Another thrash, another hiss, and then he went still save for the frantic rise and fall of his chest as he gathered his breath back.
tab It wasn't like he paid attention to all the fishers at the pier. While the armored pony above him most likely wasn't a fisher, he still felt the need to prove he was sentient. He was not something to flay and eat on the dinner table. His maroon eyes were locked on the other pony, light reflecting from the moon as clouds drifted over the natural light time to time. Words failed him -- it was hard speaking with the way his mouth was structured. Long teeth and a long tongue? It didn't work, honestly. He was lucky if he could get one word out.
tab But he knew he ought to try.
tab "Trapped." He managed out, a word that sounded almost guttural from his lips as he struggled to wrench it past his teeth. He squirmed once more, every bit as lively as he was minutes ago.

Thorn made a mock of a hiss in reply to Gari's hiss but laughed abit this little hissing thing amused him for some reason. "You're flailing is only hurting you. I can sense it in you blood...which doesn't smell anything like swamp sludge as one might guess it to be..." He laughed even more amused then before.
Thorn watched the fish like pony he wasn't quite sure why he was still hanging about. It wasn't his problem what happened to the pony caught in the net after all. He looked away to the sound of fisher ponies moving around near by, he could be hunting them instead. His red eyes shot back to the pony as he struggled through the words trapped. Thorn pondered those words for a moment and pinned his ears. This was a lesser creature in no way worthy of Thorn's help right? "That is unfortunate for you." Thorn spoke before walking away down the length of the pier. At the end of it he stopped though and grunted this bothered him.Trapped that word rung out just like Thorn was trapped in his own net. With a sigh he moved back down the pier where
Gari still hung.
"Alright...strange one. I will let you out." Thorn stretched out his large bat wings moving to hover over the water. He used his sharp fangs to slice through the net like it was butter before grabbing the net and releasing Gari onto the pier before landing. He folded his wings around himself like a cape and watched Gari carefully. Well this was not something Thorn would normally do so he really wasn't sure what to do next.

tab The mocking hissed immediately caused a louder one from Gari in response, as if automatic (which it probably was). He didn't thrash however. When the other began to leave he returned to attempting to gnaw the net apart, twisting against the net with a frustrated growl. He hadn't expected them to return, growing suddenly quiet as they approached. At the mention of being freed he instantly released a loud but appreciative growl, going still for the much larger stallion to slice the net.
tab Once free he clumsily sprawled out and stood. His legs felt like jelly from being tied so tightly together. He shook himself off, grimacing as his skin painfully throbbed from drying out. With his situation dealt with he slowly looked up at the other pony, his long and lanky body recoiling just a tad as he awaited for something to happen. Nothing did, and with that he relaxed his muscles again.
tab His eyes gazed down to their armor, head tilting. "Vamp.....ire....?" The word was difficult on his mouth, eyes narrowing sharply in annoyance as he tried to form it. He didn't leave or show fear, instead a morbid curiosity touched his features.

The louder returned hiss seemed to just make Thorn chuckle in a low tone. His ears twitched to the growl of appreciation when he said he would free the pony. Thorn didn't mind the growls an hisses after all he himself would often hiss to show displeasure or other emotions at times.
The thought to lung and bite the creature for a drink of blood crossed Thorn's mind and yet he didn't. Honestly his leader kept him in a fair amount of darker and cruel acts, so to mark this rare occasion of kindness towards a non vampiric creature, Thorn restrained himself.
"Why yes I am, you are more clever piece of Sushi aren't you?" Thorn grinned. He noticed the pony did not seem to be upset by this fact which earned a curious face on Thorn as well. "It doesn't bother you that I'm a blood sucker?" Most ponies took issues with it, though he really couldn't blame them he did often just pounce and drink from them.
