Evening came and as night fell, Arthur settled in the stone base of the bird sculpture and curled up. There was no mind paid to a snoozing cat and the meandering pedestrians wandered until the last sounds of footfalls and passing phone calls were gone. Quiet, the mauvian waited in the dark and cleaned his paw and face.

She might have left it a little late; or at least she had a sneaking she suspicion she might have. In hindsight she probably should have asked for a specific time but given the cat had indicated he didn't want any witnesses and he had selected a park where people might walk by; she'd assumed he'd wanted her to arrive fairly late.
Thus, when she really should have been considering bed, she found herself in the park instead.
She hadn't brought much with her, just herself and this odd little pen she'd been given that all but transformed her into a jumpsuit 'superhero'. Somehow she hadn't thought that her purse would have been useful and to be perfectly honest, it would probably stop her from popping into the store to buy unnecessary junk food.
It wasn't long before she found the place he had mentioned though, catching sight of the sculpture first, and then the feline that had settled underneath it. She kept her pace normal though, preferring not to startle him even if she had felt an urge to jog forward.
"Sorry if I kept you waiting!"

The cat yawned and then stretched out with his front legs and out to arch is back. "No worries. I am very good at waiting." He yawned as he moved to the edge of the art piece's foundation. "There is a wall painted with a garden mural. You can change there."
He jumped down and lead her around a corner where a wall painted in the vision of The Secret Garden met with a wall and some flower bushes.
"Remember how to change, right? We can get started once you are in uniform and you can ask me whatever you like."

She could vaguely remember how she was supposed to 'power-up' as it were, but she wasn't about to admit that to the feline. He'd taken time out of his day to help her and she was just going to have to at least do him justice and remember the rest. For now, she followed him round to the mural and it was only then that she glanced down at her pen and press her lips together.
...This had not been hard the last time, it wouldn't be hard this time right?
As much as she would have liked to give this some gusto, she suspected the neighbours might not appreciate the sentiment. More importantly hadn't he told her before that she really didn't want to expose herself to uh...whatever trouble she might invite if someone heard her? She paused to consider and then shook her head, uttering the words 'Sailor Adorea Make Up!' instead.
No sooner had she done that then she found herself in the same purple 'jumpsuit' as before, odd little visor included - all in all that hadn't been so bad.
"All righty," she clapped her hands together as she stepped back out and glanced down at the Mauvian.
"Soooo...You said I was meant to fight some sort of chaos right? How exactly do I do that..." she asked and glanced around. To her, the world continued to look ever normal and she wasn't quite sure of what chaos he had mentioned before may look like.

"Yes. Well, there is a opposing side to this war. One that wants to take over this city and this world. We refer to those who align to this side as working for Chaos. Currently there are only two factions working for Chaos. The Dark Moon Court and The Negaverse. You might wonder how you'd know. Well, we all have energy signatures. A magical pulse. The power that you use to power up and use magic gives off a blip of power. Thing of it like a magical ping that goes out."
"Now your side is considered the side of Order. On our side are order senshi and Knights. You can sense how Order feels because it will feel familiar to you. Comforting. Chaos feels negitive and unpleasant to you. Once you spend more time as a senshi and meet more friends and enemies, you'll be able to sense people with these powers from miles away. That is why you should never power up in or close to your home. Then someone can find out where you might live outside of your uniform and hurt you or your loved ones. Okay?"
He waited for her to digest this. "It is up to you how to fight the enemy. You can talk to them or fight them. Be careful either way. You can be corrupted to the other side but those who are corrupted can also be purified to our side. That is my there is a choice on how to go about this war."
He moved up and then moved to her side. "Now for now, fighting. Either to harm or to protect yourself. Right now you are just a normal senshi but with time you can get stronger. So let us see what powers you have. I want you to hold your hand out,close your eyes, and focus on the very core of yourself. The power pulsing inside. Somewhere there, listen for a voice to call to you. It should give the name to your attack."
The mauvian sat and watched. "Direct that idea, that attack, that name, to that shrub over there. Your attack will have a name and you'll need to voice it out to call upon that power."

Adorea squinted at the description of each individual faction; if what he had said was true then they were two sides of the same coin. She didn't really know much about these courts and whatnot, but it sounded like the Moon Court she was part of... Just a touch different. By extension would that not have meant that the Knights and Negaverse followed a similar trend?
"So just what is it we're fighting to control?" she asked finally as she took the bulk of the information into consideration and filed it away for future use. For now there wasn't much she could do with it, but at least now she'd know who and what to look out for as she moved about. How she chose to deal with each of the individuals in question would remain to be seen though.
...She'd never really been much of a fighter, she wouldn't know how to throw a proper punch without breaking her own fingers as it was!
Nevertheless, he had moved on to explaining how her kind were meant to battle. It all sounded just a tiny bit comical if she was honest, but then again she also hadn't realised she'd be able to simply transform with a simple phrase either.
All right; so I just hold out my hand...
She did so, spreading her fingers ever so slightly. She'd already closed her eyes, it was simply the focus that was taking a little longer for her to grasp. Fortunately, as the Mauvian had probably known all along, it seemed instinct did kick in eventually and she heard something deep inside.
"Adorea Optimistic Smile...!"
She hadn't really known what to expect, and even as the warm smile flickered on to her lips, she stilled wasn't entirely sure what it did. Had there been any cicadas they probably would have chirped to at least fill in some of the awkwardness.MoonKitsune Sorry for the wait, I was spamming LoL to make sure I got value for money from the token I'd purchased. x_X

Adorea Optimistic Smile!
Adorea calls the name of her attack and smiles at an ally; the ally will immediately feel like everything is going to turn out well, that everything is going to be okay.
Scrapes/abrasions will be healed for as long as the magic lasts. The effects of this attack last 30 seconds, and it can be used three times a battle.

"We are fighting to keep the Chaos from taking over this planet and destroying it. In essence, to find a way to win to protect the people here. That isn't to say everyone has other goals as well. One more personal to them." He said.
As Adorea waited, Arthur cleaned his paw and watched the shrub. He had no need to push and pressure her at all. They had all night unless someone interrupted them and they could always try again if tonight didn't work for some reason. But it did, and he looked up at the shrub and stood up.
"Ahhhh. Okay. You don't have a physical attack. You have a influence attack. Well that's very good to know. We just need a test dummy next time. How you feeling? Tired?" He wasn't sure how often she could use her magic.
"Some senshi can only use their attacks once per night. If you could try again, you can use your attack on me." It suggested, volunteering for the knowledge of what it could do.
"Think you can try again? I'll even shift to make myself a larger target."

She lacked a physical attack?
"...Well that's a fat lot of use," Adorea remarked as she cleared her throat and returned to a normal stance. A half smile remained on her lips, sheepish at best, as she accepted that perhaps she wasn't quite the super hero she had envisioned she might be. Based on his current explanations she was struggling to understand how she could be useful in a fight if she didn't actually do anything.
More to the point, how was a smile supposed to help matters? She wasn't a baby, she wouldn't make people stop and go 'awww' for a momentary stun.
Nevertheless Arther was continuing to speak and eventually he mentioned that her attack had another definition, something to do with influence? So, in summary, she smiled at someone and it was supposed to do something but as she had smield at thin air it had flopped. Fortunately she wasn't tired and shook her head in response to his question, truth be told the red headed senshi had all the energy in the world. For now she was able to continue, though whether she was bout to get another shock to her system remained to be seen - she could fall over from exhaustion for all she knew!
A little dramatic, she'd concede that in hindsight.
"I'll give it another go," she said after a moment. "Gotta stall the bad guys somehow, right?" she asked with a soft chuckle. "They'll be too confused to do anything for a second that someone else might actually be able to smack them."
"But if you didn't mind giving me a bigger target that might help?" She glanced down at the ever patient feline and pursed her lips. She could work on smaller targets at a later date but based on her current discovery (in the sense she didn't do anything), it was in her best interests to start with something easy and go from there.

"That's good. Well then I suppose this will be more on the lesson plan for you. I am a Mauvian, as I explained. But I'm not a cat though most of us are raised that way so we act a lot like them. When I change, I want you to understand my energy signature. Remember that magical ping I just mentioned. Well, I let off a very massive ping when I change. It's why I look like a cat most times. Makes me hard to find. So we will need to make this rather quick else we'll lure every baddy to us very quickly."
He breathed and in a glow of white light rose from the lank feline to a tall, lank, bookish man. Well, cat-man as he still retained his ears and tail. He wore no shoes and was dresses in a blue and white outfit trimmed with gold, a one piece body suit with a large coat over it. The star motif of his golden glasses followed in the stars on his clothes. He looked to be in his mind twenties, gangly, with white hair like his fur that was rather shoot about his angular features.
The Mauvian was giving off a large, powerful signal of Order.
"Now then. Try that attack on me with that same attack. Then I can see what happens to me." It said, adjusting his glasses on his sharp nose. "I'm ready."

'Ping' didn't quite cover what Adorea felt. She hoped that the sensation would dull down slightly the more she was exposed to it but at least the Mauvian had managed to successfully convey what it felt like to find one of her own. At best she could describe it as jarring, but he was certainly unmistakable and she wouldn't miss it if she felt it again.
She took a brief moment to take in what or who stood in front of her and she did have to concede that he looked quite pleasant in this form. He would have stood out at anything except a costumed gathering, but as she had met him when he was a cat she suspected that was the form he preferred. Or maybe preferred wasn't quite the right word, it might simply have been a necessity, but at least she understood.
Now was not the time to dwell though; he had made it very clear that his energy was going to attract trouble and now that they had determined her abilities did exactly nothing, it was in her best interests to do this quickly.
She cleared her throat.
A pause for good measure and it was with much the same uncertain flourish as before that the red head called out her signature move and flashed the smile directly towards him. All things considered, if this did actually work then she was going to have to work on making the choreography more appealing.
Maybe a salute or something...? She needed more than just a smile and an awkward 'please work' wrinkle of the nose at the very least.

He watched her do her attack again, nervously hoping no one showed up if he became incapacitated by an unknown magical attack, when he felt his shoulders slack. A general ease washed over him, calming him down like a reassuring hug and whisper in his mind that went [IBreathe. Everything I fine. This won't turn out badly. You won't loose another one. Not again.
A small, relieved smile went on his tired features and he breathed out. It wasn't until the magic happened that he realized jus how stressed he had been lately. But despite the ease he was skeptical how this was an attack. He decided to then do a physical check on his person. He didn't feel more energized, as being a humanoid was taxing and any energy transfer would have been noticed. He wasn't shimmering and took a few pacing steps to see if he was faster now. He jumped a bit in place. No added strength of power. Nothing on the ground.
The magic was ebbing away and he turned about before he grabbed his tail a d stared at the end. It had gotten caught on a nail in an alleyway a few days ago and the scar was now deminishes.
"Well that is something I suppose." It said as it walked over to her and showed her the fluffy end of his tail.
" Alright then. When your magic hits, it has a - well very pleasant affect. Calming. It makes you feel like things will get better. I don't know if this feels different based on person to person. You'll have to test it a bit more on allies, as this is meant for friends and your fellow fighters. It doesn't seem to give anyone any physical bonuses or power. Not that I can tell anyways. But I did cut my tail and it isn't there now. I guess that makes you a healer then. Great for scrapes but not for fighting against someone. You'll just have to start training then. Learn some self defense. Plenty of senshi learn combat from each other. I can see if I can find someone you can spar with to get you started."
Then he breathed out. "I do like being this way. Pity it's always so short. It's nice to see a senshi eye to eye." And with that solumn thought the man sank back down to the form of a cat again.
"We should walk a little. I can feel a agent further off turning this direction. Let's get some distance while we talk." He advised as he started down the sidewalk into an alleyway

Great, so it did almost nothing. She was defined as some sort of order soldier and yet she was about as useless as a chocolate fire guard. So she could heal a scratch; last time she checked battles had often ended with more than just a scratch. Unsurprisingly she seemed wholly unimpressed with this revelations and may have missed the bigger picture.
...Not only could she heal, she could boost morale.
In a world where fighting might actually be more frequent than she realised, the reassurance that things would be okay could very well prove to be highly useful. It was a niche ability, one to be employed at suitable times, but on the whole he was right, without the ability to use 'magic' to fight back she was going to have to learn how to reliable in a more physical sense.
"Is there a reason you can't be, you know, wear a hat or something?" she asked, taking her mind off the frustration of the fact she felt 'useless' and moving on to a topic she had a genuine interest in. That, and to be perfectly honest, in light of this revelation she wasn't feeling as optimistic as she should have about the possibility of facing any 'agent'.
They'd lose horribly, her little smile wouldn't do jack...and she probably couldn't use it on herself either!

He shook his head. "When we are like that, our energy signature is too strong. Agents could find us and they'd either kill us to stop us from making them more enemies or they'd corrupt us. Turn us over to their side and make us forget ourselves. Anyone I'd be with would also be in danger of that. It's too risky and I'd be dumb and selfish if I did it too often. There are so few places we can even hide it."
He looked away at the thought of his limitations. "Senshi like you are tied to spacial objects. Usually planets or moons. It gives you energy. Mauvians share a planet. Mau. But we can't never go there. Something is wrong and we can't visit. That means our magical battery isn't the same. Outside certain places, being like I was would exhaust me in just a few hours. So we are like this. I know it's not all bad, but we'll - it would be nice other times." To hold someone, kiss someone, and love them that way.
"But that's not much anyone can do. Maybe sometime when you grow stronger, you can visit your planet." It didn't want to wallow in those thoughts of his own limitations and a form he was starting to dislike.

"They can do that?" she asked. "The corruption I mean, what if you didn't want it..?" She sounded naive even to her own ears, but if they had the ability to subdue and force such a thing to occur then was there a reason why her side couldn't respond in kind? Perhaps it was a question of honour, or an odd one of whether or not the individual was worthy, regardless she found herself pursing her lips at the prospect of those she now opposed performing such actions.
"...And wouldn't that mean you would make me the opposite of what I was if you found me?" she squinted. She had a great deal to learn and somewhere out there, there would be unsuspecting senshi and unassuming agents alike who would be subject to some measure of interrogation.
And she had some sort of planet that she could travel to in space.
Space!
Still the notion that his own planet had been rendered inaccessible did leave a bitter taste in her mouth. How would she have felt to be locked out of where she had come from, never to see it again?
"There's really no way back?" she asked softly and furrowed her brow. "That's...lame."
Very eloquent there, Adorea.
"If your kind all come from Mau though, and I draw my power from something else separately, then does that mean wherever it came from is empty?" She hazarded. "Like, if I figured out how to get there am I going to find some empty ruinscape or are there more of me somewhere out there?" She added.

"Mostly they might trick you into it. So that you have to choose to allow it to happen. Might even threaten you or someone so you let it happen. Sometimes it's forced, but I hear that doing that can - make for some very nasty results. Forcing a starseed to do anything against it's will isn't good for anyone. Oh, starseed. Inside you, right in your chest, is your starseed. The very essence of who you are. The who you were in the past. The who that will be you in the future. A agent of Chaos will reach into your chest and try to force Chaos into it. Never let a agent near your chest."
He warned this, very serious.
"But, in some cases, there are agents who want to be with us. Who don't want to be corrupted. In those situations, we can purify their starseed." He explained. "Pushing out the corruption from the starseed like purging out a shadow with light. Clear it all out."
"But again, they have to want it, and our side isn't much about threatening someone to do it."
He checked the street and walked across with her, glad they were getting some distance from the place they had been.
"If I was a Chaos guardian, where there are plenty, I couldn't make agents. Only Agents who are powerful can reach into you or a knight and make you one of them. You need a lot of power to push a starseed and change a person. Most of the time, they find someone who was neither. Just someone like you, before I met you, and offer them power. A chance to fight or be something more. Negaverse agents would have been knights if they weren't corrupted. They also have corrupted senshi. You'll know them by the black mark over their chest. Like a crater."
He frowned sadly at that. "Sometimes a cat doesn't locate a senshi in time and a agent does instead. Corrupted senshi. There you go."
"Mauvians like me can only awaken a senshi who is dormant to their power. Other than that, we can also make you unlock other stages of your power but only when your magic and power has matured more. When you get settled into it and grow more and more in tune with your planet and magic. When that happens, it's safe enough and ready enough for us to make you expand your power. This is called become a Super Senshi. After that it's Eternal Senshi. Then, in some very rare cases, you can become a royal. A princess or a prince. These are the most powerful forces we have on our side, but sadly we don't have very many of them."
"For Corrupted senshi it's the same ranking. For Negaverse agents, it's military ranks. Lieutenant for those at the same power as you. Then Captains. Then Generals. The highest ranking, the most dangerous, are General Kings and Queens. Never engage with them. It's a death sentence." He warned. "No matter how powerful you feel. Don't."
"Us Mauvians can also make you things. Of course we need an idea of what you want, and this might need some special materials or even some way to tap into your power, but we do dabble. It's one of our other jobs. Making magical items so if you figure something that might work for you, you can find us. OHhhh right. You need to find us."
He paused and turned about. "You should have a senshi phone. Right. I always forget that bit. I should be able to make them now." Arthur mused and thought about it a moment and then nodded. "Alright. Let me have a go of it." The cat did not do as high of a flip as he had done for her pen, but with a little clatter, a phone appeared.
"There. Phew. Alright. That krink in my back is coming back but that should help a lot for you. That phone lets you access other senshi and text them. Call them up. You can call me up too. There is also access to the database. If you want to look someone up or maybe want to add information on a person you met, dangerous or nice, you can help us update. I'm actually working on helping with making a library but it's rather bare bones at the moment. But at least you can text or call me now. I should explain space pockets." It muttered that last part.
"And yes. Your planet probably isn't very alive now. There would be nothing living aside from plants on it. Without the senshi who protects it, planets go dormant. If you visit it more and more, they rouse up a bit. But you can't live there. Not with nothing there to live off of."
