Corrupt Vanth20 HP Gosh, another already. Vanth didn't feel up for it at all. What would be the real equivalent of this 'training exercise' out in the city? Getting into a really nasty fight with a senshi and then breaking it off. But not teleporting. No captain or general answering the call for a pickup and getting jumped again within the same night? And for some people three time? Four? I didn't think to check how many rounds it would be ultimately on those elimination charts. Was there one? My opponent will already have won once, too. Another senshi this time. Might have more useful magic than I do, too. Like Starr.The things looked like horizontal trees with names tattooed in over the course of events. They could be sportsman's lace. The combatant that took to the ring opposite seemed more in line for a cocktail hour than a brawl with all lace and up-do. Vanth fidgeted her fingers in her own lace sleeves. Now or later to take off her shoes? "It's nice to make you're acquaintance. Ready to start?"

Damage Done: Periclase seemed almost pleased that she was facing another corrupt. It kept things on a more level playing field, though this one looked young…and those shoes. Oh, she didn’t envy the girl at all for those clunkers.
“It’s nice to make your acquaintance as well!” Her smile was genuine and as she looked the other corrupt up and down, she nodded. The girl had the advantage of her hair being bound up, a neat trick that would keep it from being used as a weapon against her…or getting in the way. It was an unconventional outfit from the others that Peri had seen on corrupts thus far, but the longer she looked at it, the more she liked it.
“I’m ready when you are! Oh, I’m Periclase, by the way, but my friend's call me Peri!” She hadn’t quite forgotten Mab’s sour expression when she had gone right into the fighting without introducing herself…but at the same time. This was a fight. They could introduce themselves and become friends later, right?

Corrupt Vanth16 HP Dmg:6 She wanted to lead off strong, and the close the distance between them as quickly as possible. MMA, and Xenotime, didn't have much use for the jump kick except for just this situation. Peri- that's a fun sounding name. Energetic! She might dodge, but we'll be close then. Ally-ooop!

Damage Done: 6 - 2 = 4Peri hadn’t been expecting a jump kick and for a moment, all that the corrupt could think to do was raise up her arms to protect her face, and with a hiss, the heel of those insane shoes dug into her arm, causing blood to well up to the surface.
“Those shoes must be a nightmare to walk with, but they make a good weapon, I’ll give you that!” Her hands gripped the other senshi’s leg and she tried to wrench her down, wanting to just get her away.
“That was an impressive move!” Peri’s arm hurt and she didn’t really want to look at it, worried that the sight would make her lose her nerve.

Corrupt Vanth16 HP Dmg:0 What Awful Flesh-Truth. The feel of the impact shuddering up her leg was bad enough, the sound was awful, and the visual, looking up post-being-thrown-down for landing gagged all her words. Bile welled into the small corrupt's mouth, matching the arm hole, more than sound. She went to swing but it went comically wide as she instead gagged into her own mouth and then was forced to turn and spit. And wheeze, "uhhhhhhhhgwa no tha... lo--o-oks .....err...ible..." Smacking someone with a shoe seemed innocent. Bruises were hurtful, but they clicked into place as somehow lesser on the hierarchy of Bad Things Asked By Shadow Magic Paramilitaries. I don't wanna do this anymore. I don't want Peri-clase to bleed. Peri. I know her name. I don't want to be the one to hurt her, and definitely not like that. C'mooooon Vanth, Xenotime does this for a living, knuckles splitting and people have fun with it somehow. This is supposed to be fun and educational. I'm going to hurl...

Damage Done: 4 - 2 = 2It looked like the other corrupt was going to throw up, and for a moment, Peri felt more than a little worried, moving forwards and furrowing her brow. “Ah…oh.”
When the words registered and the corrupt spat she had to look away. Not at her arm, of course. She couldn’t look at that. Not now. Especially not when her opponent was making such a big deal about it…it was fine. She was fine.
If she didn’t look, it didn’t make it real, yet. “No, no stop staring at it!” Giving the lace clad senshi a small shove, Periclase made sure to really not look at the damage done.
…But what if her lace got stuck in it? That would be messy…and ‘Nubi was her watching…
“How do you walk in those anyway?” The words were more for her own benefit. Keep herself distracted. And maybe get the other’s mind off of her wound too. “I would fall down, I know it. I’m a klutz.”

Corrupt Vanth16-2=14 hp Dmg: 5 The shove set the small teen on her backside with a whumph, which turned her stomach another flop and drained her face green. standing walking shoes- my shoes. Focus on shoes."I stumble a lot," Vanth commiserated. She had to swallow between each part. "They're really. Inconvenient. For every. Thing." Given their focus, and her position, Vanth kicked a foot to launch one of the offending shoes like a sports ball at Peri.

Damage Done: 1 - 2 = 0Periclase nodded. She could understand stumbling on everything with shoes like that. “I bet they are…I couldn’t…ouch!”
The shoe came hurtling at her and she lifted her already injured arm out of instinct to block her face. The pain from the stupid thing hitting her arm was enough to make her face go white as a sheet. For a long moment, Peri couldn’t quite make her body move, there was just pain.
“I…ah…they’re…n-not bad for the tournaments though, I’ll give them that…”
After a long moment Peri was able to move her good arm to cover the wound in the bad, feeling a wave of dizziness overtake her as she touched it.
Ouch indeed.
